Battery monitoring and protection system
Hladík, Jan ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with design of battery management system. Requirements for battery management system and its conception is discussed in the first part of the work. System is able to disconnect load or charger from battery using MOS-FET transistors. It measures battery cell's voltages and is capable of passive balancing. Microcontroller is used for data processing and system control. Schematics, printed circuit board layout and control algorithm was designed. Prototype of the battery management system was then manufactured and tested.
Switch mode supplies
Hladík, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of switched power supply for laboratory lessons. Forward converter was chosen as the topology of this power supply. Output voltage is adjustable from 0 V to 32 V. Power supply is capable of output current up to 10 A and output has adjustable current limiting. Following parts were designed: LC filter, pulse transformer, bridge rectifier with capacitor, power MOS-FETs driver, closed loop control with its auxiliary power supply. Cascade closed loop control is used for controlling of designed power supply. Control is analogue, operation amplifiers were used for its construction. PCB was designed for the whole power supply. Power supply was sucessfully assembled and tested.
The Historical Roots of the Conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh

Housing policy in the inter-war Czechoslovakia
Hladík, Jan ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor) ; Fabianková, Klára (referee)
The thesis deals with a chronologicall detailed mapping of the evolution of interwar Czechoslovakia housing policy instruments, taking into account the needs of the population at that time. Prior to the analysis of the topic, the thesis offers the characteristics of housing policy and the housing market. As part of the expert discussion on the impact of specific housing policy instruments on the housing market and the entire economy, conclusions are drawn on how successful housing policy should look like. Although the work is focused on the interwar Czechoslovakia, a brief overview of the housing policy implemented in Austria-Hungary is also included for a proper understanding of the functioning of the Czechoslovak housing policy. This thesis chronologically analyzes the legislative framework and impacts of individual housing policy instruments in Czechoslovakia. There is a finding that Czechoslovak housing policy had a clear concept, was relatively predictable and significantly improved during the period in provision of services required by poor people. In the later years, it also managed to better adapt to the changing economic situations. Conclusions of the thesis are mainly supported by study of period sources, which have the character of monographs or studies and especially periodically published statistical reports and yearbooks.

Inherent instability of financial markets
Hladík, Jan ; Buben, Radek (advisor) ; Znoj, Milan (referee)
The main aim of this presented diploma thesis is to help build a systematic understanding of the political and social foundations of global financial markets, their operations and impacts on the global power affairs. The thesis highlights the dynamic complexity of the post financial crisis state of the World with its itra- and inter-social features. It instrumentaly uses critique of a free market agenda and neo-classical economy which contrasts the Efficient Markets Hypothesis with Hyman Minsky's Financial Instability Hypothesis (FIH), taking into account the dynamic complexity of financial markets. This approach offers analytical tools that can account for crisis through processes endogenous to contemporary financial capitalism. I shall argue that a financially complex system is, according to the FIH, inherently flawed and unstable. After a theoretical and historical review, the thesis discusses various aspects of the process of austerity regime and its social consequences. This provides an opportunity for analyses of the ongoing existence of interstate competition, of militarised foreign policy, and of other international, at times violent conflicts. In an effort to make sense of some of these phenomena, I instrumentaly use the study of geoeconomics that builds on some fundamental assumptions...
URN - Rapid Response Unit: Counterterrorists' Perception of their Enemies and its Relation to the Czech Security Policy
Hladík, Jan ; Jireš, Jan (advisor) ; Barša, Pavel (referee)
The presented bachelor thesis discusses the Útvar rychlého nasazení (URN) - Rapid Response Unit of the Czech Police as a specific counterterrorist unit. The main aim of this thesis is to describe the position of the unit in the context of Czech strategic interests, as well as give an in-depth analysis of the meaning of this special force with reference to the social contract - the Czech Constitution. Firstly a model of innovative terrorism and a terrorist was developed, followed by the development of an anti-model of antiterrorism and an antiterrorist. The relationship between those opposite models is then described along with their implications. Based on the aforementioned research, a dynamic model was created which was used to carry out qualitative research with members of the URN in order to test the model. Various interviews, participatory observations and consultations were used to collect data. Based on an analysis of the results, the need for implementing an innovative mechanism of counterterrorism measurements and policies is recommended. Key words: Útvar rychlého nasazení; Rapid Response Unit; URN; URNA; terrorism; political violence; counterterrorism; antiterrorism; special forces; counterterrorist force; terrorist; antiterrorist; Czech Republic; security policy; security system; Iraq;...
