Effectiveness of Combined Treatment of Chronic Forms of Atrial Fibrillation

The aim of this thesis is to study the effect of radiofrequency ablation (isolation of pulmonary veins and modification of the substrate) and following cardiostimulator implantation for preventive purposes on the incidence, duration of atrial fibrillation and quality of life of patients suffering from any of the chronic forms (persisting / permanent) of this type of arrhythmia. 1st Hypothesis: It is expected that by stabilising and maintaining the sinus rhythm beneficial modification of atrial fibrillation by catheter ablation and preventive-regime cardiostimulator implantation will improve the quality of life of patients. 2nd Hypothesis: Continuous rhythm monitoring following combined therapy provides evidence proving the actual number of asymptomatic AF episodes.

Legal status of foreigners in the Czech legal order from human rights perspective - legal restrictions and their application

in English In her thesis entitled Legal status of foreigners in the Czech legal order from human rights perspective - legal restrictions and their application, the author deals with very actual and socially necessary topic of the position of foreigners in the Czech legal order. The main aim of the thesis is to point out the contradictions between constitutional guarantees of fundamental rights and freedoms and their factual situation and to analyze these contradictions. In detail, the text offers analysis of many court decisions from the Czech Republic but also of relevant case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and Human Rights Committee. The author also draws her knowledge of decision-making from her ten- year practice in migration law. The thesis focuses mainly on the legal status of third-country nationals (TCNs), i.e. all non-EU nationals, as with the development of the EU, TCNs remain foreigners or aliens in the true sense of the word. It is true, that with the growing EU legislation on migration have TCNs have certainly gained a more solid status than international law had offered. Specially it concerns guarantees in residence proceedings and related social rights and right to reunification of the family members. (A)sexual Life of Liverworts

This thesis comprises of two published papers and one accepted manuscript, focused on various aspects of liverwort reproduction. Treated aspects include patterns of asexual reproduction, sex ratio and sex-specic pattern in vegetative growth, and patterns of genetic variation and spatial genetic structure of populations differing in availability of substrate on localities and the population connectivity, and consequently in size, density, and prevailing reproductive mode. These characteristics were studied on representatives of the family Scapaniaceae s.l., belonging to the largest liverwort order Jungermanniales. The results showed that asexual propagules were formed and present in course of the whole growing season and can be considered as a sufficient substitution for sexual reproduction. In contrast with the female-biased sex ratio observed earlier in most dioicous bryophytes, unexpectedly high male-biased sex ratio was observed in the aquatic liverwort, which was speculated to represent a strategy to overcome sperm dilution in aquatic environment. In addition, no size differences between female and male shoots were detected, although the evidence for higher cost of sexual reproduction in females was found. The study of population genetic structure has shown that even small and predominantly asexually reproducing populations are important sources of genetic variation. However, we were able to demonstrate notably low levels of gene flow among populations where habitat fragmentation poses a significant barrier to dispersal of diaspores. The fine scale study of spatial genetic structure revealed a strong aggregation of genotypes, particularly in smaller populations, and at the same time showed that asexual reproduction is an efficient mean of maintaining the populations at not only the short distances, given the spatial extent of clones spanning dozens of meters.

Ecological study of epixylic species \kur{Lophozia ascendens} and \kur{Anastrophyllum hellerianum (Lophoziaceae)}

Seasonal pattern and extent of asexual reproduction in liverwort species Lophozia ascendens, L. ventricosa and L. longiflora were studied in the Boubínský prales and Milešický prales old-growth forest reserves in the Šumava Mts., South Bohemia. Asexual reproduction was quantified as the number of 1{--}2 -celled gemmae produced per individual shoot. Numbers of gemmae per shoot among sampling months differed significantly as did the numbers of gemmae in samples among Lophozia ascendens, L. ventricosa and L. longiflora among sampling months. Germinability of gemmae was low in early spring, highest in August and September and slightly decreased in October. Spreading potential of gemmae was investigated in the epixylic hepatic Anastrophyllum hellerianum. Gemmae were trapped at different distances (0 {--} 10 m) and directions from the source colonies in two experiments: one was realized in the natural habitat within a forest and the other in an artificial set-up in the open habitat. Dispersal of gemmae showed slight distance dependence both in the natural and open habitats. Habitat requirements (e. g. decay degree, texture, bark cover, log diameter) of the L. ascendens and A. hellerianum were investigated in both reserves, 126 logs were found. Mostly tiny liverworts grew with L. ascendens and A. hellerianum. Both studied species occurred on logs with degree of decay 2 {--} 7 and degree of texture 2 {--} 6.

Consumer protection and internet shopping

The diploma thesis is devoted to the issue of online shopping. Its aim is to analyze internet shopping and see the rights and obligations of consumers and sellers, which are based on current legislation. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with purchase over the internet and its regulations. There are explained the concepts internet, e-business and e-commerce and indicate the types of e-business and is mentioned certification of online stores. The practical part is about the respondents' shopping behavior when buying over the internet. It is examined through a questionnaire survey. At the end of the thesis are mentioned the advantages and disadvantages of internet shopping.

Tématem této bakalářské práce je spokojenost zákazníků s nákupy přes internet. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, jak jsou studenti spokojeni s internetovými nákupy, jak často a co nakupují, jaké jsou výhody a nevýhody těchto nákupů a možná doporučení do budoucnosti pro obchodníky i pro zákazníky. K tomuto účelu jsem sestavila dotazník, který má 11 otázek. Dotazovanými jsou studenti vysokých škol.
