Flow measurement

This bachelor thesis deals with flow measurement of liquids. The first part is a theoretical analysis with an overview of the most important parameters of flow sensors, the main parasitic influences and methods for calibration of flow sensors. The second part is the design and realization of the laboratory apparatus for measuring the flow of water, which is intended for the teaching of students. The apparatus is designed to test four flow sensors using weighing reference. The result of the practical part is the measurement of the basic characteristics of the flow sensors used and comparison of the obtained values with the data from a manufacturer. Further parasitic influences are added during the measurement and is determined to what extent they affect accuracy of the measurement.

The thesis is a proposal of communication mix for selected company. The chosen company is Pantograff art store, which sells paints in spray and paints. The diploma work is divided into 3parts. The first part is theoretical, where the theoretical background of the given topic of marketing research on the B2C market is described. The analytical part focuses on important analyzes for the revitalization of the existing communication mix of the company. In the last part of the thesis there are individual suggestions for improving the marketing of the company.

The bachelor thesis is a proposal of the entrepreneurial intention to establish a restaurant. Our restaurant with a focus on tourists and cyclists will be in Vilémovice. The branch of business belongs to the hospitality industry. The work consists of three parts. The theoretical part will be based on literary research and serve to define basic concepts. The analytical part will deal with the market analysis and other factors that could improve our business. The final part will deal with the proposal of the business plan itself and its economic success.

The influence of social factors on the nutritional status of dialysis patients

Aim of the thesis: The aim of this thesis was to find out what social factors influence the nutritional status of dialysis patients. The theoretical part deals with nutritional therapy as a part of complex care, linking the social sphere and human health, including a separate chapter on dialysis patients. The practical part then examines the aforementioned influence of social factors on the nutritional and overall health status of patients. Methods: A qualitative methodology of semi-structured interviews with six informants from a hemodialysis center and one social worker from the same facility was used for the research. An open coding technique was used followed by sorting into categories. Results: According to the interviews and follow-up categories, each core theme is discussed using specific quotes from informants, including the social worker's perspective on the issue. Conclusion: The discussion concludes with recommendations for practice that could improve and streamline the overall care of dialysis patients from a social-health perspective, such as interpersonal competence education, greater use of the social worker's offer, standardization of social care in the field, or the creation of support materials for patients. Comparison and validity of new criteria for the diagnosis of malnutrition by GLIM in clinical practise

Aim of thesis: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the standardized nutrition screening tools and the new diagnostic criterita of malnutrition according to GLIM with the practical findings of muscle mass using BIA in the clinical practice. Methods: Recently admitted and suitable patients aged 60+ at the Geriatric clinic of the General University Hospital in Prague and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University were selected for this research. Age, weight, height and subsequently BMI were determined at these patients. A standardized screening MUST (according to BAPEN), MUST in the modification of the General University Hospital, MNA-SF, SGA, evaluation according to the new criteria according to GLIM using BIA to determine seriousness of sarcopenia were performed. Results: According to GLIM criteria (SMI value [kg/m2 ] is 10,76 for the diagnosis of sarcopenia and 8,51 for severe diagnosis of sarcopenia for men and 6,76 for the diagnosis of sarcopenia and 5,76 for severe sarcopenia for women), there were 80,4 % of patients sarcopenic. The average SMI for men was 8,6±1,0 and 6,3 ±1,1 for women. The MUST screening had an overall low sensitivity - 61 %. In contrast, the MNA had high sensitivity - 91 % compared to the SGA.
