Crisis intervention for male victims of sexual violence

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to crisis intervention for male victims of sexual violence. Crisis services function as crisis intervention centers for a wide group of clients. They may also include men with a history of sexual violence. Thus, this work explores sexual violence among men and crisis work with them. The theoretical part defines the concept of sexual violence and indicates its prevalence among men in society. It also describes the consequences of sexual violence and discusses the differences in the experience and consequences between women and men. The theoretical part describes the issue of reporting sexual violence and mentions the barriers that can prevent it from being reported. The last chapter focuses on the definition of crisis intervention and its form, it also focuses on the specifics of work with sexual violence and maps Prague crisis centers and crisis lines. The theoretical part also discusses possible shortcomings of crisis intervention when working with male victims of sexual violence. The empirical part follows on from the presented findings from the theoretical part and presents a research proposal that aims to find out the attitudes of crisis intervention workers regarding effective work with male victims of sexual violence. This bachelor's thesis is devoted to crisis intervention for male victims of sexual violence. The theoretical part defines the concept of sexual violence and gives its prevalence in society. It also describes the consequences of sexual violence and the differences in the experience and consequences between women and men. The theoretical part also describes the issue of reporting sexual violence and mentions the barriers that can prevent it from being reported. The last chapter focuses on the definition of crisis intervention, its forms, procedures, it focuses on the specifics of crisis intervention with sexual violence and maps crisis centers and crisis lines found in Prague. The theoretical part covers possible shortcomings of crisis intervention when working with male victims of sexual violence. The empirical part presents a research proposal that aims to determine the perceived effectiveness of crisis intervention when working with male victims of sexual violence. The proposed research asks whether we will find an association between the factors of personal experiences of the interventionist with sexual violence, gender of the interventionist, direct work experience with male victims of sexual violence and perceived self-efficacy at work. Preschool Children's Reading of Text with Picture

Preschoolers are surrounded by illustrated texts. They actively explore the characteristics and function of the print and construct their own hypotheses about it before they learn to read. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how these children interpret text accompanied by the picture and how their ideas develop. Its theoretical part focuses mainly on the work of Argentine psychologist Emilia Ferreiro. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research which is inspired by the work of Ferreiro. Data were collected from 13 children aged 3-6 years. Four cards with different combinations of text and picture were presented to each child. By an individual interview were captured the strategies used by each child in an attempt to interpret the text. These strategies were described and divided into several categories.
Role of teacher assistant in the kindergarten class for children with speech and language disorders

The diploma thesis focuses on the role of teacher assistant in the nursery class. Its aim is to capture the activities that the assistant teacher performs in this class through qualitative research. The main aim of the research was to describe the activities of the teacher assistant that support pupils directly in the logopedic class of the kindergarten. The research was carried out at the nursery class of the kindergarten. The case studies of five pupils were processed on the basis of documentary analysis and observation and teacher assistant activities were categorized. It has been found that pupils has disruptive communication skills that has been shown since the beginning of development and, besides communication skills, involves in other areas of development. Teacher assistant pays attention to all pupils in the class. Activities that encourage them to engage in education and all kindergarten activities do not differ in content. His work focuses mainly on ensuring understanding, orientation and involvement of pupils in every situation.
