Intercultural management in the times of globalization

The purpose ofthis thesis titled "Intercultural Management in the Times of Globalization" is to conduct an analysis of the intercultural management fundamentals and work specifics of a global manager who is operating on an international level. In particular, I have focused on the unique success of the Renault-Nissan Alliance in the automotive industry. The outcome of this thesis should provide a manual for global managers that are operating internationally. The theoretical framework is represented by an analysis of the causes and fundamentals of the interculturalization of today's world. The practical part consists of two main sections. The first part is focusing on identifying the factors that attribute to the success or failure of a strategic cooperation of two different entities in the automotive industry. The second part is an in-depth analysis of the integration process of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. This thesis outlines the situation on the global automobile market in terms of creation of various forms of strategic cooperations. It further proves the importance of an intercultural management during the creation of such partnerships.

Management of changes in a business company

The thesis focuses on analysis of the distribution market situation of printed media and determines needs of changes in a medium-sized business company. These needs are later developed into a general proposal in accordance with Kotter's model. Theoretical part is aimed at change management and crisis in relation to changes. Practical part is aimed at description of nowadays situation at distribution market of printed media and suggestion of general projects of changes.

The thesis has two main goals. The first one, which is going to be achieved in the theoretical part, is to offer a satisfactory overview of a range of fundamental concepts covering the subject of starting and running a new business. In particular, a range of definitions, legislation matters and procedures will be offered. The second goal is to research a particular business idea and determine, whether the idea is likely to succeed. The practical part of the thesis explains and describes this particular business idea and offers a business plan mainly dealing with marketing, technical, financial, risk and future growth matters.

This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of corporate culture. The theoretical part is focused on the explanation of the concept of corporate culture, its material and immaterial components, characteristics and typologies of selected authors. The practical part of my work is devoted to research the statement of corporate culture in the selected Belarusian corporation and to create recommendations for the improvements of corporate culture, which is the contribution of my thesis. During the process of studying the phenomenon of corporate culture, I tried to formulate my own definition of corporate culture that is in the thesis.

This batchelor thesis deals with the customer's, innovative and social policy in the way, how was performed in Bata's company. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate if the Bata's business principles in these areas are or aren't actual in the present. To achieve this goal were in particular areas first named methods perfomed in Bata's company. Then was mentioned current theory and final the comparison. The ideas of topicality or not topicality particular areas were mentioned in two ways of view -- the opinion of author and the opinion of employment in companies, which were asked.

Risk assessment of a selected company

This bachelor thesis deals with risk assessment as a very important part of risk management. The theoretical part describes the position of risk assessment and risk management, its structure, content and purpose. It describes the process of risk assessment and its key parts -- the identification, analysis and evaluation of risk, dealing with risks and monitoring, and the particular ways they can be done. The practical part follows with an analysis of the current state of risk assessment of the selected company that operates in the international transport industry. Based on the results of the analysis, recommendations to improve the risk assessment are given and the theories from the theoretical part are used and applied.

Improving the promotion of small and medium businesses via developing a tourism cluster in the Central Czech Republic

This diploma thesis will show how mutual cooperation of small and medium businesses in a tourism cluster can increase promotion and revenue in the tourism industry. Theoretical part of this study presents definitions, characteristics and typology of clusters. Later on, the theoretical part describes practices in the mapping of clusters and a cluster's lifecycle. The last chapters will summarize the benefits of clusters to its stakeholders and means of financing and program support via EU grants. Practical part is focused on the strategy of a tourism cluster in the Central Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. This strategy also includes useful examples of how the cluster members can actively and effectively participate in managing mutual activities and projects. Operations, organizational structure, finance and support are also topics that are going to be discussed in this study.

Crisis management of childrens summer camp

This work deals with planning of children summer camps in a way which would minimize the risks of happening of the listed threats or loosen their consequences as much as possible. Its goal is to come up with simple and pragmatic planning procedures. It tries to offer a manual how to responsibly manage organizing and planning of summer camps. Usage of the described techniques should prevent origin of problem situations.

Place and the role of a risk management strategy in the system of organization crisis preparedness

The bachelor thesis discusses an importance and a position of the risk management strategy in a corporate strategy, which also forms the basis of organization crisis preparedness. The theoretical part focuses in the corporate strategy and its hierarchical structure, from which can be defined the place and the role of crisis management strategy. A part of the crisis management strategy, risk management strategy is further described in the thesis with its main components as well as the business continuity management strategy. Consecutively, a question of organization crisis preparedness with its two dimensions - factual and human is clarified. The practical part suggests a methodical procedure that includes continuity of steps needed to create and formulate the risk management strategy in a small and medium enterprise.
