The work focuses on the organized form of volunteering in social services. Theoretical part is concerned with the phenomenon of volunteering in social services and organized forms of work with volunteers Practical part focuses on the attitude of volunteers themselves towards selected organization and the work they perform within the organization and answers following questions: Is organized volunteering helpful or is it rather a burdening obligation? Can volunteers see results of their work with a client? How does organized form of volunteering affects the work with the client and do volunteers appreciate this form as a way of improving their work with the client? The research is conducted mainly by doing interviews and via questionnaires.

CHOCHOLOUSOVA, S. The right of child, who is placed under institucional care, to be in contact with one of its imprisoned parents. Prague: Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, 2013. 140 s. Diploma thesis. This diploma thesis is focused on the children of imprisoned parents in the Czech Republic. It deals with the right of the child to have contact with a parent in prison, the actual realization of this contact and its support in Czech and international legal frameworks. In the center of attention is due to the imprisonment of parents and separated families. There are problems with severing emotional attachments between the separated child. Growing up in childcare institutions, without their biological parent, has implications for their upbringing. Thanks to theoretic knowledge and conclusions the theoretical part is drawn up and implemented by quantitative questionnaire surveys of all childcare institutions in the Czech Republic. Their purpose is to find out whether the child's right to contact with imprisoned parents is carried out, what type of contact is most often implemented, and what obstacles prevent most of the contact. Resume Contribution to social services for mentally disabled people Author: Chalupová Eliška Supervisor of the thesis: Mgr. Anna Sabatová Ph.D. My thesis deals with a new phenomenon in Czech law - financial contribution to social services - and its consequences to mentally disabled people, particularly to mentally disabled people living in sheltered housing. Since January 1st 2007 providers of social services charges statutory fees for a separate service. Fees are to be covered from financial contribution to social services, which is under Act No. 108/2006 Coll., imbursed to all persons meet legal conditions. In my work I focused on people who leave mental hospitals and after a long-term hospitalization lose their ability to cope with all necessities associated with a life in common society. Do these people need the financial contribution to social services? What are the main problems these people met in the course of application for the contribution and where do the problems originate? Master's Degree Thesis. The object of this work is to identify the weaknesses of the current system of the alternative care by comparing casuistry with the standards of quality. I use casuistry of the current or former clients of foster care. In the first part I put the topic of social and legal protection of children into context of international and constitutional documents. There is also a chapter about the Standars Quality4Children. Then I focus on the situation in the Czech republic. I start with the descripction of the current system and finish with the process of transformation of the system of care for children at risk. The bill changing the Act No. 359/1999 Coll. on the social and legal protection of children was published. It is the first step to the transformartion and it's necessary to be followed-up other steps. The actual explorative empirical part of this work is conducted by a qualitative research strategy. Long-term professional foster care as a chance for early traumatised children

The bachelor thesis deals with professional long-term foster care as a form of care of early traumatised children on the background of current system of foster care in Czech Republic. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes Czech system of care about children in need, the second chapter introduces in more detail foster care in Czech Republic and principles of professional foster care, the third chapter applies itself to early traumatised children, to their needs and opportunities which professional foster care could bring them. The practical part is focused on introduction of one concrete form of professional long-term foster care, how it works in one German region. In the first part is introduced German organisation, which is engaged in the support of professional foster families. The second part considers research among professional German foster parents, the research is based on personal experience of foster parents with this form of care and its different aspects.

Employement opportunities of people with criminal record

This thesis' aim is to describe and assess employment opportunities of people with a criminal record. The theoretical part deals with the phenomenon of unemployment in general. The social and psychological aspects of the unemployment are described, as well as the possible impact of unemployment on society. Individual tools of social politics, which may be used to deal with unemployment, are discussed. The next part focuses on legislative features of the institution of Criminal record and on legislation that regulates the relationships between employers and employees. The practical part contains an analysis of job advertisements offering positions suitable for people with a criminal record. In the next chapter my aim was to analyse the situation of people released from prison; and to present opportunities for their support. The work of probation officers from municipal offices is described in detail. The thesis contains three case studies of people with a criminal record looking for a job. In the last chapter, organizations providing help and support for people with a criminal record during job searching are presented. Professiogram as the basis for the creation of methodologies for social workers of Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children in the field of foster care

The bachelor thesis "Professiogram as the basis for creation of methodologies for social workers of Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children (OSPOD) in the field of foster care" is focused on an analysis of work activities of social workers of municipal authorities of municipalities with extended competence, using an analytical professiogram. The objective of the thesis is to develop a proposal of a unified methodology for the process of mediation of foster car arranged by a social worker. The theoretical part explains the foster care system in the Czech Republic and describes needs of both target groups that are supposed to be accomplished by activities of the social worker. The foster care system is perceived as an institute aiming to ensure welfare and benefits for children in conformity with the theory of attachment. The practical part concentrates on creation of a professiogram of a social worker, based on a survey and working day activities schedule along with analysis of various documents and interviews with representatives of superior authorities. The analysis is based on results of a survey conducted at all OSPOD departments of municipalities with extended competence in one region, which enables a comprehensive insight into this issue.
