Dynamika společenstva makrozoobentosu podhorského toku s početnou populací raka signálního.
ŠŤASTNÁ, Hana
Assessment of macroinvertebrates population at the Křesanov brook above the town of Vimperk. It contains a large population of the signal crayfish. It is non-native in Europe. Sampling was carried out in 2020. Macroinvertebrates sampling was done. Then, in the laboratory, its determination and detection of abundance and biomass was done. Statistical analyses were subsequently made using hydrobiological indices from the collected data. The analyses compared two stream segments that were different in some parameters.
Swimming training of children with specific learning disabilities in younger school age
Šťastná, Hana ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
The work was reflecting the effect of basic swimming training and the water environment on the fine motor skills of the upper limbs in a group of pupils with specific learning disabilities. Part of the work is a comparison with a group of pupils of the same age with specific learning disabilities without said swimming training. The main goal of the work is to observe a group of pupils from a Prague based private elementary school with focus on education of children with specific learning disabilities and evaluation of potential changes in fine motor skills of the upper limbs. The selected group of pupils consisted of children diagnosed with one or more specific learning disability, such as developmental dysphasia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, ADHD syndrome and Asperger's syndrome in ages 8 to 10. The training was a mandatory basic swimming training in third grade and happened during the school year 2018/2019 with total of 15 participants. Input testing for fine motor skills and test of level of swimming abilities were organised in the beginning of the training. Output testing was organised in February of 2019 after completion of 20 hours of swimming training. This was then compared to level of fine motor skills of a group of pupils of same age without basic swimming training. Key words swimming...
Sleep in the Arms of Anthropology: Social and Cultural Context of Narrowed Consciousness
Šťastná, Hana ; Samek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Abu Ghosh, Yasar (referee)
This thesis deals with the phenomenon of sleeping and its variations. It is the outcome of long-term field research and participant observation. At the core of my research is a sleep laboratory from which I freely venture into other fields. I draw not only on a number of interviews and observations but I also reflect upon my own physical experience with various sleeping modes or gained from the position of both the subject and supervisor of sleep medicine. By way of employing qualitative research methods I map the sphere of sleep as a social construct and its embedding as a value. I furthermore try to see how much the social construct of sleep can be influenced. I focus on the issue of the current value of sleep and the impacts on the formation of the social construct of sleep by society and a specific time period. I try to switch the perspective, too: my goal is to identify whether sleep is such a resistant phenomenon on the grounds of its biological essence so that it can withstand or at least moderate these forces. I take a theoretical recourse to medical anthropology and use it as my initial perspective. I employ the concept of biopower and risk society, as well as the methodology of carnal anthropology. Due to its inconspicuousness and hiddenness, I consider the phenomenon of sleep and other...
Product Placement in Czech Film
Šťastná, Hana ; Kladný, Tomáš (advisor) ; Chytková, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis deals with product placement in Czech cinematographic work as a specific way of presentation branded product. From a few points of view consumer aesthetics, semiotics of cinema and marketing semiotics is explored four movies (Empties, Women in Temptation, Men in hope and Perfect Days). At selected scenes we show how branded products are presented in the movie, how the placements are integrated into the plot and the story. The paper uses classified in terms of efficiency. It is following up the meaning value of the brand, of the context and of the role in which the product placement occurs. The film shots and scenes in which branded products are used, we focus on the denotative and connotative meanings and uses of rhetorical figures of metaphor and metonymy, meaning funds used semiotics and semiotics of film marketing. Along with this case is taken account of consumer aesthetics, which justifies daily consumption. Attention is paid not only at branded products, but also scenes and product which are free from labels (belonging without a brand) or have labels fictional brands. Keywords Product placement, semiotics of cinema, marketing semiotics, consumer aesthetics, branded entertainment, brand, movie
Flubendazole metabolism - effect of gender and selected inhibitors
Šťastná, Hana ; Skálová, Lenka (advisor) ; Szotáková, Barbora (referee)
Flubendazole, a benzimidazole-like drug with strong effect on Nematoda and Cestoda (endoparasites), is routinely used in therapy of monogastric animals. Lately, it has been considered to use flubendazole also in treatment of ruminants. Hence, it is essential to obtain information about flubendazole metabolism in these species. The main aims of study presented here were to identify an enzyme participating in flubendazole metabolism (in sheep) (with use of specific enzyme inhibitors) and to examine whether male or female sex has a significant influence on rate of flubendazole metabolism in domestic sheep. Consequently, the contribution of phase I and mainly phase II enzymes (conjugation with glucuronic acid) to metabolism of flubendazole in rats was thoroughly studied. In the inhibition experiment, many specific enzyme inhibitors (menadione, naloxone, ketoprofen, coumarine, pyrazole, phenobarbital, quercitrin, α-methylcinnamic acid and estrone) were used to reveal a particular enzyme responsible for flubendazole biotransformation (reduction). Only menadion (specific inhibitor of cytosolic carbonyl reductase) was found to have strong inhibition effect on flubendazole reduction. Based on this result, cytosolic carbonyl reductase is assumed to be the main enzyme participating in flubendazole metabolism...
