Social-pedagogic issues of integration of gipsy kids and youth

This work is of a theoretical-empirical nature. The goal of this work is to identify causes with lead to the social exclusion of the Romany ethnic group, to chart trends in this region, and to focus attention on institutions engaged in integrating Roma into society. Additional goals are to determine how the integration of this minority is secured by the government, through self-government and non-profit organizations, and subsequently to attempt to determine how the Roma people and the majority themselves view integration. The perspective of the media, which serve as a kind of oversight body of all national events, and which to a great extent influence public opinion that affects the mood of the society, is supposed to aid in this. The work may be divided into two parts. The first part, which is concerned with the causes of the Romany group social exclusion, is of a theoretical nature. These causes had been sought in the Romany identity, the family, the upbringing, behaviour, and communication. Attention was subsequently then borne on integration, which to a large measure is affected not only by the government, but also non-profit organizations.
