Chronic Patients' Depression

This thesis "Chronic Patients' Depression" looks into Alzheimer's disease patients' depression. Theoretical part focuses on topics of old age, dementia syndrome, Alzheimer's disease and depression. These topics are described also in their associations. Current researches in the field of study are mentioned too. Practical part deals with presence of depression in Alzheimer's persons. Hypothesis that depression is more frequent in early stage of dementia is tested. In the research there is used standardised method - Yesevage's Geriatric Depression Scale. Other methods which can bring new information is also used (Geriatric Depression Scale filled in by caring persons and structured observation). The outcome is 9,7% Alzheimer's patients suffer from depression. More persons with depression we can find in a group of Alzheimer's early stage however difference between group of early and advanced stage is not significant. This study occupies with assets of other methods for diagnostic of depression.

Cooperation with the biological family whose child is taken to the children´s home.

The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of cooperation of the biological parents of children who are placed in institutional care of the children's home Sazava. The theoretical part is dedicated to the foster care system with emphasis on placing a child in institutional care and upbringing as taking place under such conditions. This part is completedwith the theme of family redevelopment.The goal of my work is to approach this collaboration, its possible forms and possibilities, but also to identify the most common reason for children to be placed in institiuonal care at Sazava. To fulfill the research objectives I used case studies and document analysis

THE OFFER OF ACTIVITIES FOR SOCIALLY HANDICAPPED CHILDREN HOW TO SPEND THEIR FREE TIME EFFECTIVELY

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Offer of quality leisure activities for endangered children. The theoretical part characterises basic concepts relating to endangered children, special education and leisure time. Next it describes the structure of organizations that care of these children, such as state and local authorities. The theoretical part also includes who can provide leisure activities for endangered children. Emphasis is placed on the area of volunteering. In the practical part the author focuses mainly on leisure activities offered by organizations to those children. Furthermore the author poses the question why these children are at risk. The research deals with the cooperation between parents of endangered children and organizations that provide leisure time activities. Economic dimension is also considered. Research identifies the financial participation of children or their parents. The results show that the most widespread are sports and artistic clubs. The research declares that parents of endangered children cooperate with leisure organizations. Most children, according to research results, are endangered by disability, ethnicity or unstable family background. Fees for the clubs are either missed, or they can be waived at most organizations under predefined conditions. The bachelor's thesis can be used as an overview of offered activities for endangered children in České Budějovice and Tábor.

Adoption of children in the Czech Republic

The subject of the thesis is about child adoption in the Czech republic. The theoretical part of this paper examines the development of constitutional care for the orphaned children and the legal process of adoption. It includes a list of all possible ways to adopt a child and the related conditions. It also explored in detail the arrangement of the adoption process. The thesis also explores possible issues that may arise during the adoption process for both parties involved (adoptive child and adoptive parent). The practical part of the thesis addresses the growth of adoption from the year 2005 till 2015. The conclusion summazises the results of the survey and interviews conducted on this topic.

Stressogenic Factors in a Health-Care Facility

This thesis deals with work-related stress and stressors of medical staff, doctors and nurses. The aim is to expound this issue and to determine the level of stressors influencing the medical staff in given hospitals. As first in the theoretical section, the characteristics and specifics of medical profession are described, thereafter personality traits supposed for this profession. The second chapter describes stress, which medical staff is burdened with, and concrete typical stressors as well. The third chapter concerns burnout syndrome, which is a possible consequence of long-acting stress. The fourth and last chapter is devoted to the prevention and coping of stress and burnout. The practical section presents the evaluation of the survey concerning effect of stressors on the medical staff of four selected hospitals. According to the ascertained results are outlined measures for improving the situation and preventing acting stressors.

Minor church architecture in rural development

The thesis focuses on research of minor church objects located in Neveklovsko. Theoretical part of thesis includes the definition of basic concepts, functions and types of minor church architecture. This part also describes the legal aspects, technological aspects and economic aspects related to the minor church architecture. In research part of thesis, there was realized field research in cadastral area of the town Neveklov, in which the minor church objects were examined, and also their condition was evaluated. This part of thesis contains information about financing of care for minor church objects in surveyed area. The conclusion of thesis contains the recommendation to owners about acquire funds to finance care of minor church objects. Attachment contains a description of all objects in Neveklovsko, marking on maps and photo documentation.

Needs of families with hyperactive child of younger school age

The attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is not unique phenomenon at children at the present time. Inattentiveness, hyperactivity, impetousity are main symtoms of this disorder, which affect life of child significantly and its integration in the society. Families of these children are in difficulties, which makes a series of problems, such as difficulties with learning, social contact and sleeping. Parents of hyperactive children have to face up to these things and also find their effective solution, that brings higher claim to whole family. Aim of my work is describe broad issue of families with hyperactive children, so explain their difficult situation, emotions and needs, which arise from care of child with this disorder. In practical part I interested in position of hyperactive children and their families in the fields of diagnostics, education, foreknowledge, programmes and services, which are offered for these families.

Interventions focused on the support of family members of person with mental illness.

(English) This diploma thesis deals with the issue of mental disorders and services provided to family members of people with mental disorder within a non-profit sector. The first part includes theoretical chapters which are processed by analysing available literature. The chapters inform about mental disorder, quality of life, and describe the care of people with mental disorders - particularly social skills and communication, housing, education, employment and leisure time. The theoretical part also focuses on social work with the mentally ill and includes a role of a social worker. In conclusion, the theoretical part describes the possibilities of supporting family members within the system of the care of persons with mental disorder, especially educational and psychoeducational programmes. The empirical part maps the current range of services for family members of people with mental disorder, and in connection with that, it determines what workers consider to be their benefit. Then, the views of family members on the psychoeducational programme and the current system of taking care of persons with mental illness were examined in a parent organization. This bachelor thesis deals with an alternative family care. The goal is to approximate particular forms of alternative family care, pointed to system of alternative family care in selected countries of the European Union and clarify the concept of international adoptions. The first chapter is devoted to basic concepts related to alternative family care. The second one approximates particular forms of alternative family care. The third chapter is focused on the impact of legislation of the European Union on alternative family care and approximates system of alternative family care in selected countries of the European Union, especially Slovakia. The last chapter is devoted personal research within adoptive and foster parents. The aim of this research is to find out what is the motivation for applicants to create alternative family care and what are their personal practical experiences with process of adoption or foster care

Anesthesiological diffíeulties arising in the surgical treatment of chronic pulmonary hypertension

Pulmonary hypertension is a serious syndrome with very unfavorable prognosis. It encompasses numerous diseases and the only one which is surgical ly treatable is chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) is a curative method for select patients with surgically accessible thrombotic obstruction. It involves not only the operation itself, but also complicated diagnostics, preoperative preparation, and sophisticated postoperative intensive care. According to contemporary world reviews of professional literatuře, mortality rates following PEA, range from 5 to 24 percent. Better results with lower levels of mortality as well as morbidity are unambiguously proven in the centers with more experience where the highest numbers of such surgeries are undertaken. Good team work is an essential condition for a successíul PEA program and the anaesthetist is its indispensable member. Anaesthesia of patients with chronic right ventricle dysfunction undergoing cardiac surgery using extracorporeal circulation brings about several diffíeulties and we tried to deal with them in our work.
