Changes in gender roles and thein manifestations
Černá, Ivana ; Pauknerová, Daniela (advisor) ; Hubinková, Zuzana (referee)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to map situation in families, where man takes a maternity (parental) leave and woman is working. Furthermore, to learn what changes do we notice in comparison to the traditional gender roles in the past, the way that most people imagine them. I find this subject altogether actual, considering, that I myself know some families, where roles and responsibilities in the household care and children nurture are not, as they used to be in the times of our grandparents, when men provided material security and women took care of household and children. In the practical part of my thesis, I used two causuistries and further interviews, in which I found out very interesting opinions of the respondents, even from the point of view where they had their gender roles switched. The results suggest that nowadays, we really can see some shift in gender roles from the traditional view of the society, even though it is still minor. Often it's in families, where woman has higher income, so the roles switch for financial reasons.

Electromyographic Analysis of the Femoral Muscles' Activity in Patiens with a Ruptured and Reconstructed Anterior Cruciate Ligament
Fišáková, Marie ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Jnjury of anterior cruciat ligament (ACL) is frequent. ACL lesion has serious consequences on the knee joint biomechanics as well as neurophysiological changes. This study sum111arize the facts in the field of ACL lesion. in ter111s ofin jury, therapy and the return of a patient to daily life. The present research into anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) lesion has shown varying results. We investigated the electro111yographic (EMG) activity of fe111oral 111uscles (se111i111e111branosus 111. (SEMI). biceps femoris m. (BF), vastus medialis 111. (VM), vastus lateralis m. (VL)) during specific physical activities (PA) in the closed kinetic chain (CKC). The main focus was on the protective pattern of femoral111uscles activity in knees with insufficient stability, due to ACL les ion. The study was based on theory as well as previous investigations of "the ha111string reflex". 16 patients with ACL lesion (6 men and 1 O women; mean age = 34 years, range = fro111 15 to 54) divided in 2 groups (with and without ACL reconstruction) participated in this study. The EMG activity of assessed femoral muscles was analysed during 3 specific activities: calm standing (CS), rythmic weight bearing (RWB), forward lunge (FL). The performance of PA were standardized by the use of the forceplate offered by NeuroCom® "Balance...

Nováková, Zdenka ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Krahulcová, Beáta (referee)
Human society is getting old. We have to learn many new things about old people and dying, too. The work is divided into three basic parts. The first part is psychosocial view of being old and dying - society's attitude towards the old, how the old receive their physical and mental changes, society's looking at diseases and dying. The second part is biblical view of these phenomenons - the position of the old people in that time, society's attitude toward diseases and dying (new comprehension dying in New Testament). After biblical view follows philosophic. The last part is practical. In the research people were asked what they think about doctors' attitude towards dying people, if present society sufficiently speak about dying and death, if the care about the old people is acceptable, if they are able to speak about dying with their family, if they are afraid of dying and if so which things they have the biggest fear of.

Pavúk, Ján ; Veselý, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Dubský, Zbyněk (referee)
The diploma thesis captures the contemporary security situation of Slovakia, identifies security problems by which it feels threatened, then goes on to point out whom and what Slovakia wants to protect and which strategy it plans to use in order to do that. At the same time it identifies the main insecurities of EU as a whole and those of Russia. These two powers are seen to play a major role in formation of relationships of amity and enmity, of cooperation and hostility in European regional security supercomplex of which, Slovakia is inseparable part. To describe and conduct analysis, author applies theories and analytical tools formulated by Copenhagen School. Most used were analytical frameworks and concepts of securitization, regional security complexes and sectoral approach to security.

Šnaidauf, Jan ; Gombár, Eduard (advisor) ; Kropáček, Luboš (referee)
The submitted thesis is titled "Arab National Minorities in Germany". Tts primary a1m is to shed light for a Czech reader on the much discussed issues of large foreigner communities in a 'Western' (in this case German) society that are perceived as culturally different from the rest of the population, thus giving rise to a number of stereotypes and anxieties as well as, occasionally, open conflicts. Basic research questions refer to the true nature of those minorities, the implications of their presence there and the way the state approaches them. First, the paper justifies the term 'Arab minorities', proceeding to the circumstances of their emergence and growth in Germany. Developments of those groups after the World War TI are dealt with in more detail and are differentiated according to the basic processes: recruitment of labour farce as applied for Morocco and Tunisia, and reception oť reťugee waves notably in cases of Lebanon, Algeria and Iraq. In the second chapter, a characterization of the respective minorities is provided, as seen from several diverse points of view. First the national composition, geographical distribution and religious affiliation are examined, subsequently turning attention to the forma! characteristics of the minorities (especially the residence status) and finally to the...

Čermák, Radim ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Strossa, Petr (referee) ; Hřebíček, Jiří (referee) ; Dědič, Filip (referee)
Internet and websites are today one of the most important communication channels of almost all companies. They offer a simple, fast and effective way of communication, which is also available worldwide in a few seconds. With the globalization of market, more and more companies try to expand their business beyond the territory of the home state. In the current time of start-ups is the Internet also often a medium that allows formation of new spheres of business for which the website is absolutely essential channel. This type of business is internet based and has very often international ambitions from the very beginning. Given that each country (or region) can be seen as distinctive culture, it is advisable to locate websites for the needs of the foreign country. This is exactly the theme of this thesis. The concrete objective of this thesis is to offer a methodology for website localization in terms of webdesign. The basic building block is the delimitation of a multidisciplinary theoretical framework that examines the concept of culture and extensive literature review allowing current insight into the linking of website and culture, i.e. cultural website localization. Suitable method for gripping such a complex concept as a culture emerge from a theoretical framework as well. As the most appropriate method were determined Hofstedes cultural dimensions, which are then used for the analysis of cultural determination of web elements. Data collection for the purpose of analysis of web elements cultural determination is performed using a content analysis of websites from nine different countries. The results of the analysis are compared and synthesized with the findings stemming from a literature review. The final artifact of this thesis, a methodology for website localization from the perspective of web design, is based on this ground. Validation of the proposed methodology is done on the basis of assessment of the methodology for a domain of web design. This assessment is based on interviews with experts from different countries as well as presentation of concrete example of methodology use within a midsize website.

The effect of bailiff territoriality on the reclamation of receivables, the length of debt recovery and other aspects of court-ordered distraints
Plaček, Jan ; Smrčka, Luboš (advisor) ; Belás, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hučka, Miroslav (referee)
The area of individual reclamation of receivables in the form of court-ordered distraints has undergone significant changes since the year 2000. The initial practice, when the claims used to be enforced directly by judicial officers, proved to be largely ineffective and with difficult to apply. The Ministry of Justice has responded by adopting an amendment to the Act (Act no. 120/2001 Coll., on bailiffs and executor activities), which introduced the independent bailiff offices. Then, the law itself understood the bailiff authorities as a separate entrepreneurs. Currently, in the Czech Republic, there can be seen the distribution of the market with distraints according to the Pareto rule. Approximately 20% of bailiff offices manage over 80% of distraints. It is obvious that this is an unsatisfactory condition for the majority of bailiff offices. In response to this fact, the Czech Chamber of Bailiff offices calls for the introduction of territoriality, which would eliminate by law the market environment from the market with distraints and every single bailiff office would have a stable allocation of distraint proceedings. The analysis carried out clearly shows that there are significant differences between bailiff offices in terms of speed and in success of the debt recovery. The actual demand for the introduction of territoriality would not merely be a reallocation of the market with distraints. Putting it into a practice would greatly influence the transactional costs of business and non-business entities in the Czech economy. The thesis comprehensively describes the issue of territoriality and quantifies how much the debt collection will decrease in case of its introduction. In the conclusion, an alternative draft is formulated, which might, according to the author, allow effective regulation and supervision of the activities of bailiffs' offices without compromising the inherent efficiency of the reclamation of receivables in terms of market environment.
