Activation Programs for Children and Youth as Prevention of Social Exclusion
Bednářová, Natálie ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on work with children and youth who come from a socially disadvantaged and culturally diverse environment within the scope of their leisure time with regards to their future employment within a society. Primarily, the thesis discusses a positive influence on socialization of children and youth by activation programs in the context of low-threshold-organized streetwork and social work. I am interested in this kind of problematics and I have been working as a volunteer in this social field. I draw on my personal experience, which is connected to a concrete locality. I build my bachelor's thesis on my personal conviction that activation programs aiming on target group of children and youth in the context of low-threshold-organized street work and social work might play a crucial role in prevention of social exclusion. Settlement in criminal proceedings
Hegerová, Klára ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the settlement in criminal proceedings, one of diversions, or also alternatives to typical course and outcome of criminal proceedings. The settlement was incorporated into the Czech Criminal Procedure Code by the amendment n. 152/1995 Sb. with the effect on 1st September 1995. The settlement is an institute of criminal procedure law originating in restorative justice principles and its goal is to restore affected relationship between the defendant and the victim. Then proceedings of the settlement should not serve only to compensate the victim, as is sometimes perceived by the public, but also to clarify causes of the conflict during the active participation of both parties and to assume personal responsibility for the crime committed which may have significant effects in terms of criminal prevention. Despite the fact that the settlement is a form of diversion beneficial to the defendant (it leads to cessation of prosecution), victim (it is faster to obtain the compensation) and society (prevention from committing other crimes, relieving courts in favour of complex and serious crimes), it is rarely used in practice. In the first chapter I generally deal with the concept of diversions in criminal proceedings, their fundamental characteristics and common features...

Changes in the composition and localization of gangliosides in cholestasis associated with other markers of pathological processes in hepatocytes.
Petr, Tomáš ; Muchová, Lucie (advisor) ; Mičuda, Stanislav (referee) ; Befekadu, Asfaw (referee)
This thesis is focused on the study of glycosphingolipids in the rat liver in different types of cholestasis and the effect of oxidative stress on changes in the composition and localization of gangliosides. First, it was necessary to optimize the immunochemical detection of glycosphingolipids. GM1 ganglioside was selected as a representative of a large glycolipid family. We found that minimum water content in the fixing solution was a key condition for fixation of histological sections. Optimized method of GM1 detection was subsequently used in in vivo experiments. We have demonstrated that estrogen-induced cholestasis characterized by high concentrations of bile acids and increased oxidative stress caused changes in the synthesis and distribution of liver gangliosides. HMOX induction is associated with a reduction in oxidative stress level and accompanied by normalization in GSL content. In experiments with obstructive cholestasis, we found that changes in the distribution and synthesis of gangliosides were not strictly specific to a particular type of cholestasis. We assume that it represents a general mechanism of hepatoprotection. We also confirmed the important role of bilirubin, product of HMOX reaction, in protection of hepatocytes against oxidative damage caused by high concentrations of...

Tax havens and causes of their use
Šodková, Karolína ; Finardi, Savina (advisor) ; Bušovský, Ladislav (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns the tax havens and causes of using them. The object of the analysis is Czech legal persons in years 2009-2015. The correlation analysis has shown that neither Czech nor foreign corporate income tax rate belongs between the main reasons for using a tax haven. The causes shall be low rates of withholding tax levied on dividends and interest rates. In addition, taxable entities take advantage of tax havens so as to hide their delicate information, which has been proven by the correlation between their number and the rate of secrecy of the tax haven.

The usage of algae in biogas transformation
Paroulkova, P. ; Sukačová, Kateřina ; Murgasová, K. ; Vítěz, T. ; Chovanec, J.
Using of algae in a biogas transformation is still in the beginning. However, the microalgae have large potential from the perspective of growing demands on biogas quality and trend of using, natural resources. First of all, it is their ability to fix carbon dioxide (CO2) using photosynthesis and presumed ability of some algae to metabolize hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Biogas contains not only required methane but also components causing its worse quality such as mentioned CO2 and H2S. Therefore, the algae are potential biological systems for biogas-conditioning. The microalga Chlorella pyrenoidosa Chick (IPPAS C2) was used for fixation of CO2 and H2S in our experiment. The microalgae were cultivated in a medium BG 11. The algal suspension was aerated with the biogas during two weeks. Different values of CO2 concentration measured in the input and output confirmed decrease of CO2 caused by intensive growth of algal culture. Decline of H2S was not confirmed.

Acting in theater and in front of camera
Jansová, Eliška ; PLEŠTILOVÁ, Miroslava (advisor) ; PAVELKA, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis is about acting in theater or in front of camera. At the beginning it is focused to these directions individually and later summarizes their differences, which include: what function the audience has; what options of movement the performer has; what style direction the actor uses; what the difference of collaborations between actors on the stage or in front of the camera have.It talks about the different approach of directors and self-expressions of actors and analyzes the different effects that each actor during their performance. It doesn’t only talk about the differences, but also includes the inter-connections of both styles. The next part is focused on creating a character and comparison of current and passed actors that were acting in theater as well as in movies. The conclusion is about my personal acting experience in film and in theater. It evaluates my work at the school theater DISK and also asses the transition to my advanced work.

Creation and enforcement of receivables
Šebková, Tereza ; Uhlík, Milan (advisor) ; Pavla, Pavla (referee)
The thesis Creation and enforcement of receivables is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with legislation that currently applies to the whole issue of claims. The issue of debts and obligations is monitored in general in the framework of the Czech legal system, while not neglecting European law. The practical part aims to identify the most common causes of claims for individual and legal persons. The most extensive chapter of the practical part is the analysis of the recovery process of the incurred debts. There are a number of enforcement methods which are directly linked at specific conditions. Therefore the analysis of the whole process is relatively large. The last section focuses on the success of the recovery process in the collections agency. The final section summarizes the results of the whole researched issue and analyzed causes of the fluctuations in the success of the recovery process.

Vycítí hmyzožraví ptáci rostliny volající o pomoc?
MRÁZOVÁ, Anna
Two chapters in this thesis try to explain whether insectivorous birds can smell volatile compounds released by plants attacked by herbivorous insect, and use them as a cue to locate prey rich plants. First chapter describes field experiments with chemical induction of volatile compounds similar to those released during real herbivory. Second chapter depicts foraging behaviour of birds towards trees with "true" herbivory caused by live caterpillars in a cage experiment.
