Application of decision support models in practice - choice of an appartment
Guzanová, Petra ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
The target of this bachelor´s work is the appartment selection for given user. The most suitable appartment alternatives will be selected with use of one of decision methods. The bachelor´s work is splitted into two chapters. The theoretical part specifies basic terms concerning decision processes - criterion, aspiration level, options, decision maker, progressive substitutions method, indiferent curve. In its end the theoretical part conducts a survey of the market situation with appartments in the Czech Republic and describes ways of its evaluation. In the practical part is on basis of gained information selected region, from which has been performed the appartments choice. On basis of familiarization with specification of future appartment user there have been defined suitable criteria and its aspiration level determination. After exclusion of non-acceptable and domino variants the progressive substitutions method has been finally applied. The result of this decision method is the definition of appartment ranking according to the best achieved values of equalized criterium. Finally these received results were consulted and discussed with the user. Appartment alternatives placed on top 5 ranking positions have been recommended to the user for closer examination guided by certified real estate agent.

Possible risks of abuse of radioactive materials from the former uranium ore processing plant MAPE Mydlovary.
ŘEPA, Libor
Possible risks of using radioactive materials are a highly discussed topic nowadays. This work is dealing with this problem and it is focused on possible risks of using radioactive materials from the ex-treatment plant of uranium ores MAPE Mydlovary. In introductory chapters I am describing the current state of ex-treatment plant of uranium ores. I am dealing with the history of operation of MAPE, information about sludge lagoons and about stored sediments in them and other characteristics concerning this operation. For years, sediments in which radionuclides are contained have been stored in treatment plants and that is why I am dealing with ionizing radiation. Because the topic is the using of radioactive materials which can be used mainly by terrorists, I am also describing this worldwide phenomenon of recent years where I first of all focused on super-terrorism using radioactive weapons, namely so-called ?dirty bombs?. The target of this work is to find out possibilities of using radioactive materials from the ex-treatment plant. Therefore I measured values of radioactivity and exposition of radiation at some places with the help of exploratory research. That meant sampling of soils and water and also measurement of power of dose equivalent of radiation gamma. After gathering information of needed radiation values I carried out simulation of possible using of radioactive materials from the premises MAPE. By means of dirty bomb I used the programme TerEx at using radioactive material. Then I carried out several calculations which were focused on inhalation, ingestion or outdoor radiation from radioactive materials and also calculation how much it is necessary to gain a significant source of ionizing radiation. From these sources I have deduced impacts for individuals, society or environment. Based on analysis and evaluation of given problems, my set hypothesis ?By using radioactive materials from the ex-treatment plant of uranium ores MAPE Mydlovary a serious threat to people will not occur? was confirmed. Results of my work can be used as a study material for completing and broadening knowledge about risks resulting from using radioactive materials. Further an increase of foreknowledge and explanation of certain consequences of ionizing radiation on humans from materials from the ex-treatment plant of uranium ores MAPE Mydlovary, for inhabitants of Mydlovary and surrounding areas and also useful information for lay and professional society which is interested in these problems.

Implementation of the loyalty programme
Lipovská, Petra ; Zamazalová, Marcela (advisor) ; Hofmanová, Andrea (referee)
The master's thesis deals with the creation of the new concept of a loyalty programme for a particular company, which would be a strong competitive advantage focusing on the selection of benefits through customer survey. To fulfil this topic the thesis first outlines the theoretical knowledge on which the concept should be based and what are the methods and possibilities in the area of loyalty programmes. Furthermore, there is detailed analysis of the market situation and its players with an emphasis on points of difference. The main part of the thesis firstly sets objectives, the target group and principle of the loyalty programme. In the main part the benefits with the highest value for customers are chosen through a customer survey using a three-level selection method. The analysis also outlines the differences between travel classes, gender and age of respondents. In conclusion, there is also the economic rationalization and recommendations for the company.

Interactive Answering of Vague Database Queries
Marek, Petr ; Dědek, Jan (referee) ; Rubač, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper deals with the field of alternative interfaces to databases. The focus is set on natural language interfaces. The evolution of solutions and approaches is presented on the international and Czech scope. A primary target of this paper is a design of an original system 3INDB for interactive natural language query answering over a relational database. Queries are presumed to be exact or vague. The design arises from a detailed analysis of possible inputs and has his place in the context of other competing systems. A ectogrammatical representation of the input is used. The evaluation algorithm uses a meaning query representation, an additional user interaction, multiple consultations with database management system, the history of dialogue and dynamic transitive relations between semantic objects in the database. An input supports using among others negation, quantifiers, measure units, coreference, operators, vague expressions and output format specifications. Queries on system metadata are supported as well as defining new user phrases or recognizing unknown phrases. A detailed analysis of the system configuration is supplied with an initialization methodology for a real usage. The system design includes specific optimalizations for an effective query evaluation on the relational database...

The pharmacotherapy of dyslipidemia
Řeháčková, Renata ; Melicharová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Trejtnar, František (referee)
Dyslipidemia (DLP) represents one of the most significant risk factors of atherosclerosis. Results of many clinical studies proved that effective treatment of dyslipidemia markedly decreases cardiovascular risk. Hypolipidemic treatment becomes one of the most effective treatment options (modalities) in prevention of CHD (coronary heart disease) and other cardiovascular diseases. Basic approach of the DLP treatment is nonpharmacologic therapy, e.g. change of life habits, stop of smoking, change of dietary habits, regular exercise, reduction of abnormal weight. In primary prevention settings the pharmacotherapy should commence after the failure of 3 to 6 months nonpharmacologic measures. In secondary prevention in patients with CHD it is recomended to start DLP treatment immediately, at the latest on release from the hospital. The care for the patient with hyperlipoproteinemia is comprehensive and should include rational control of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, adequate treatment of CHD and complications of atherosclerosis. The statins are the choice of medication in isolated hyperlipoproteinemia. If the target values are not reached by monotherapy, combination therapy by statin end ezetimib may be tried. The choice of lipid lowering drug should be decided on the major metabolic abnormality. When...

Pricing methods and value of the firm
Moleková, Táňa ; Jakubík, Petr (advisor) ; Hájek, Filip (referee)
One of the main features of slowly passing financial and economic crisis has been the substantial drop of the value of assets held in form of stocks. The key issue for investors during this turbulent period was, whether to hold the stocks in the expectations of consequent regain of their value, or whether to look for safer and more profitable targets for allocation of capital. This is the question that is being asked also by the hundreds of professional as well as small investors and households, which are keeping their money in form of stocks of companies tradable at Prague Stock Exchange. Having in hand the information about the potential over- or undervaluation of the market price of these stock in relation to their intrinsic values based on true financial fundamentals can help them make the right decision. Finding the answers on these questions was set as a main goal of this rigorous thesis. The analysis, which of the theoretical concepts and stock valuation methods are the most successful in explaining the development of the actual stock prices for the companies listed in Prague Stock Exchange comes to the forefront. Different valuation models and econometric tools are tested on several companies in order to estimate the potential relationship between the actual and intrinsic value of these stocks as...

Planning of teaching focused on cross curricula topics and verification of its impact on the development of key values and attitudes of primary school pupils
Frkalová, Nikola ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Kargerová, Jana (referee)
The target of the thesis In the theoretical part of the thesis is my aim to chart the teachers possibilities for incorporation of the sectional themes into the teaching at first level of basic school. Especially the theme regarding the education of the thinking in European and global context. I would like to focus on how the teacher can within the class develop the students values and their attitude, which are related to the sectional themes and concurrently, how can we detect and use the impacts of this type of teaching. I will focus on definition of the requirements for the teachers, who prefers approach to the teaching oriented on attitudes and values. In the empirical part of the thesis I am going to make a case study at the basic school, which will chart the actual work of the survey methods, regarding the students values and their attitudes and efficiency of the intervention presented as targeted work with these values and attitudes. Data collection will be in form of participant observations and collection of the documents and artefacts in the classroom. The relationship between the research subject and the questions Based on the knowledge and obtained experiences, I would like to focus on following questions. How the teacher is developing the attitudes and the values coming from the...

Aspects of financing the LBO acquisitions
Durdil, Lukáš ; Jílek, Josef (advisor) ; Rybáček, Václav (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the acquisition of companies by means of the Leveraged Buyout (LBO) method. This method differs in many respects from the standards M&A. This work examines the specific features of the given business transactions from the viewpoint of the target companies, procedures and entities involved in these transactions. As the key element of the LBO method is the debt financing of the acquisition, the work also deals with this aspect and evaluates the positions of the creditors from the viewpoint of the influence on the stability of the financial system. The thesis further analyses the question whether the LBO method has an effect leading to an increased effectiveness of processes in a company, or whether, conversely, the proceeds of acquisition investors are a consequence of a transfer of values from other entities. The text is based on available theoretical and empirical sources which are supplemented by the author's analyses.

Output-Inflation Trade-off After a Quarter of a Century of Inflation Targeting
Kamarád, Martin ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Kadeřábková, Božena (referee)
This thesis estimates the treatment effect of inflation targeting adoption on inflation, inflation variability, output, and output variability for 25 explicit inflation targeting countries. I implement the propensity score matching methodology that takes into account the problems of non-experimental nature, such as selection bias or selection on observable, and allows me to effectively mimic properties of randomized experiment and compute unbiased treatment effect estimates. I introduce a variety of propensity score matching methods that were recently developed in the treatment effect literature, including Nearest Neighbor, Radius matching, Kernel matching, and Inverse Probability Weighting. The results indicate that both industrial and developing inflation targeting countries exhibit lower inflation levels and at the same time higher output growth than non-targeting countries. The estimates are however in most cases statistically insignificant. Moreover, it appears that both industrial and developing countries achieve combination of lower inflation variability and output variability compared to non-targeting countries. Nonetheless, majority of the estimates are again statistically insignificant. The results are to a small extent sensitive to the choice of propensity score matching method. Radius matching with tight calipers (r=0.005, r=0.001) tends to provide the most reliable estimates. Balancing properties of the models are reasonable and compared to the previous research the standardised biases are quantitatively better.
