The conception of projects supporting children in institutional care
Vrzalová, Veronika ; Matoušek, Oldřich (advisor) ; Pazlarová, Hana (referee)
The scientific researches and statistics applying to children in need in Czech republic point at large number of children in institutional care. Simultaneously there is a discussion about contemporary deficient legislation that makes creating flexible solutions in this area impossible. The results of long-term studies referring to children in children's homes warn against negative impact of collective care that have adverse reaction to thein personál development and future life. I tried to outline contemporary situation of institutional care in Czech republic, description of essential problems, legal frame and essential psychological implications of institutional care. The project part of this diploma work is about surveying conditions and approaches to realization of such activities that support particular group in society, children in need that grow up without family, in institutional care. The main subject of this work are projects supporting children in children's home. We were observing their process and direction and this monitoring was the basis for analysis in light of fulfillment of basic psychological needs. The main goal is to show which projects fulfill psychological needs and which do not. The question was which activities and conceptions of these projects are the most suitable and supporting...

Awareness survey selected groups of Pilsen people on drinking water quality
Matušková, Aneta ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
This thesis is divided into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. The thesis investigates the awareness of a select group of Pilsen residents about the quality of drinking water and the group are families with young children. In the theoretical part it explains some concepts relating to water quality, water pollution, water protection, rights to information and local surveys. These concepts are important to bring my work/home improvement ideas for how important water is and that it is important to be informed about its quality, then followed by a practical part. The practical part is focused directly on the survey, which was conducted in the south of Pilsen. This survey should clarify how aware the families with young children are of the quality of drinking water in this area. And at the end I present my proposal, which would have a problem with drinking water in Pilsen directly visible to parents with small children.

Distributed enactment of business processes in ESB framework
Kadlec, Pavel ; Richta, Karel (referee) ; Král, Jaroslav (advisor)
Thesis deals with design of framework that allows distributed processing of intradepartmental batch business processes. Framework should speed up the processing of business processes and enable their monitoring and management. Author of the thesis decided to use enterprise service bus in order to create a powerful distributed framework which will be easy to use by application programmers. Business processes are divided into parts - services that are deployed on individual nodes of enterprise service bus in order to achieve distributed processing. Services may be deployed on individual nodes in many instances in order to achieve parallel processing as well. Services are coordinated by process manager according to the plan. This means that the application programmer cares only about creating the business logic of individual services. Motivation was to accelerate the real business process which handles a large amount of data. Acceleration was achieved by applying database optimizations and subsequent incorporation of several computers via the enterprise service bus. Framework is based on enterprise service bus JBossESB, process manager jBPM and distributed transactions coordinated by WS-Transaction family protocol.

Molecular and functional characterization of the death receptor 6
Klíma, Martin ; Anděra, Ladislav (advisor) ; Živný, Jan (referee) ; Kovář, Marek (referee)
Death receptor-6 (DR6/TNFRsf21/CD358) is a receptor from the TNFR superfamily that likely participates in the regulation of proliferation and differentiation of T- and B-lymphocytes and neural cells. The 655-amino acid human DR6 is a type I transmembrane protein containing four cysteine-rich domains in its extracelular part and a death domain followed by the CARD-like region in its cytoplasmic part. Overexpression of DR6 in some cell lines leads to apoptosis, and/or to activation of nuclear factor NF-κB and stress kinases of the JNK family. In the first part of our work we focused on molecular characterization of DR6, including the analysis of its posttranslational modifications. We found that DR6 is an extensively posttranslationally modified protein including S-palmitoylation and both N- and O-glycosylation. Six N-glycosylation and one S-palmitoylation sites were precisely mapped to appropriate asparagines and cysteine respectively. The juxtaposed linker region (between cystein-rich domains and the transmembrane part), which also contains Ser/Thr/Pro-rich region with clustered putative O-glycosylation sites, is required for the plasma membrane localization of DR6. N-glycosylation, but interestingly not S-palmitoylation, may play a role in targeting of DR6 into detergent-resistant...

Smoking prevention in primary care
Kvasničková, Magdalena ; Bártová, Jiřina (advisor)
The topic of my thesis is the prevention of smoking in primary care. I was motivated by the fact that after graduation I want to work general practitioner for adults, where I will meet with patients -smokers. other motivation was a close friend of our family-to-heavy smoker for many years are inclined so, quit smoking, but never found enough to play. The results of my work takes inspiration as possible in order to quit smoking. Smoking is the leading preventable cause of death in the world.while the smokers slowly decreasing mortality from cancer, the overallmortality even decreases rapidly in smokers is different. Those who die from smoking middle-aged / 35 to 65 years / lose on average 20 to 25 years ofhis life. Overall, smokers lose 8 years of life expectancy, non-smoker, or 16 years in the case that half of smokers who die from smoking: 20 to 25years of loss killed for tobacco in middle age and 5 to 10 years for the loss oftobacco killed in later life. Cigarettes are the only consumer product which is used for that purpose, which has been made, ie smoking causes death. In addition, youwould like smokers stop smoking - cigarettes are the consumer goods that you havethe consumers buy against their will. The Republic is dying of diseases caused by smoking about 18 000 people per year. Every day is roughly...

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the factors that influences women's return to labor market after maternity leave in Prachatice district between years 2008 and 2015. Based on the teoretical resources there are created questions of semi-structured interview which is conducted with sixteen women from Prachatice district with children at age from 0 to 7 years. The part of the thesis is also analysis of labor market in the district in mentioned time period using the data relates to the employment and unemployment of women. Based on the results, the hypotesis is verified:"Women in Prachatice district deemed the return to the labor market after maternity leave as complicated and local labor market does not fit to their requirements." Women find job offers for mother with children as deficient, shows heavily dependence on help from extended family, in district is low supply of care facilities for younger children, operating time of kindergartens doesn't correspond to the needs of working mothers. The study includes recommendations for Prachatice district suggested by author which are added-value to the thesis. There is no study dealing with the situation of women in labor market yet, the results might be a stimulus for further researches.

The aim of this master thesis is the comparison of selected elements of the tax and social security systems in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany, which are related to employees and employers and it is counted with them in model examples, then evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of employees´ migration under the structure of posting between the Czech Republic and other countries and finally the comparison of employees´ incomes after receiving benefits from social security system of each country (especially old age pension and parental allowance). In the first part of the thesis there is explained problematics of double tax treaties and EU coordination of social security. Then there is the comparison of above mentioned elements of the tax and social security systems in each country. In the last part I apply findings on model employees and I make a conclusion from amount of their net incomes. Migration to another EU member country is the most profitable for employee who is subjected to taxation in other EU countries but he remains under the Czech social security system. In terms of social benefits, retired people are supported the most in Austria and families with children in Germany.

The Presentation of Death and Dying in The Media and The Influence of The Presentation on The Process of Forming The Attitude towards Death
KADLECOVÁ, Hana
The thesis deals with mass media and the way they treat the presentation of death and dying. Trying to find an answer to the question of whether mass media can have an impact on changing attitudes of contemporary human being to death and dying. The thesis is divided into nine parts. The first four sections form the theoretical framework and characterize today's postmodern society, typical features of contemporary human being ?s behavior, his/her perception of the world and themselfves, the influ nce of education, culture and beliefs. The thesis also deals with the position of mass media in postmodern society, and briefly describes current research on the influence of mass media on people. It mentions the most common dividing of mass media technologies into television, radio, print and the Internet. On this theoretical framework is consequently based the analysis of the presentation of death and dying in various types of media - this part of the thesis is more practically oriented and is complemented by a number of pictorial material. It tries to capture the most significant features of the presentation of death and dying on TV (news, film, advertising) and radio (news and some opinion programs), in the broadsheets and tabloids as well as on internet news, blogs and social networks and also in internet advertising. The thesis concludes that the current mass media are nearly oversaturated with the death and dy ng topic, making the viewer (reader, listener) apathetic and easily accustomed to continuously increasing greater violence. Death pictured by media is unnatural and often violent, in which significantly collides with the lived reality. Media cause devaluation of death and lower its importance, which causes declining empathy towards the diseased and dying as well as the absence of respect for the deceased.
