Extra focus is dedicated to the present problems of housing, particularly to the condition of concrete blocks of flats, on the first sight the most intensive legacy of the past.

The role of growth factors in the pathogenesis of papillary thyroid cancer
Veselý, David ; Betka, Jan (advisor) ; Nečas, Emanuel (referee) ; Slípka, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the role of growth factors in the pathogenesis of thyroid gland tumors. There exist a lot of studies describing growth factors production or occurrence directly in the thyroid tissue. The aim of this thesis was to find possible differences in serum concentrations of growth factors in patients with thyroid adenoma and papillary cancer and in healthy people. The finding of suitable peripheral marker could be used in thyroid tumors diagnosis in the future. There was also detected growth factors production by normal thyroid gland and papillary thyroid cancer in a dynamic model of flow tissue culture, under the influence of stimulating substances. The aim was a more detailed understanding of particular growth factors role in a process of thyroid oncogenesis. Growth factors are polypeptides, proteins and glycoproteins with an informative and regulatory function. They have mainly local effects in tissues - autocrine and paracrine. They form an extensive cytokine network in the organism, with complicated synergic and antagonistic linkages. They are not specific for concrete cells, tissues or pathological processes. Many growth factors are products of oncogenes and take part in a process of tumors origin and growth. The most frequently refered growth factors related to thyroid gland tumors are...

Bridge over a local road
Kováč, Daniel ; Mojzík, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
This master thesis is focused for design, respectively for creating counterproposal of existing structure of Motorway Bridge located at D1 motorway between Jánovce and Jablonov in district Levoča in Slovakia. This bridge is over a local road. The main aim of this thesis is design, analysis and assessment of bearing elements of bridge deck. For purposes of this thesis was created three variants of bridge deck. Detailed analysis was performed on bearing construction from post-tensioned precast beam with monolithing concrete slab. Two mathematic models were used for analysis of chosen variant. First model was spatial 3D shell construction. The purpose of this model was determinate cross spreading line of other constant load and live load. Second, flat 2D model, was for determination creep and shrinkage appeared from long-term load. These effects were observed in at advanced defined time nodes. Outcomes from upper mentioned model were used from design and assessment of bearing elements of bridge deck, design prestressed reinforcement cables and concrete reinforcement rods.

Design of highway bridge
Luberová, Lucie ; Formánek, Ing Martin (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The subject of this bachelo r’s thesis is the design a new supporting bridge construction in Prešovský kraj, district Levoča the territory of Slovak Republic. This object is located on the highway D 26,5/120, at kilometer 13,499 795 and communication of third class – 131-00 bridges. The objective is the design of a perpendicular four-span construction, which is proposed in three variants. The first variant is a chamber girder with inclined walls from post-tensioned concrete height 2,480 m. The second variant is composed of two beamed cross-section and the third variant is composed of one beamed cross-section. For detailed assessment the first variant was chosen with a length of bridging of 166,000 m. The calculation of load effects is done by software Scia Engineer and compared with a manual calculation according to current standards. This bridge is designed according to limit states, construction´s influence on design is taking into consideration. Structural analysis, well arranged drawings and visualization are elaborated in this thesis too.

Genetic risk factors of system autoimmune diseases
Bičíková, Adéla ; Daňková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Novota, Peter (referee)
One of the characteristics of systemic autoimmune diseases is the production of autoantibodies against self antigens. Genetic predisposition is supported by the HLA class II DQB and DRB genes, which constitute only about 40% of the risk. In the last few decades the search of other genetic risk factors noted major progress. There are many genetic risk factors that are shared by systemic disorders. These include genes such as PTPN22, STAT4, IRF5, TNFAIP3, TNFSF4, BANK1, BLK, CTLA4, genes coding for Fcγ receptors, FAS and others. Their presence suggests the existence of identical or similar mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. Conversely, many genetic factors predisposing to the development of the disease are specific to single system disorders. These genes often encode proteins involved in the functioning of the immune system, whether they are genes whose function has resulted in production of autoantigens (PADI4 and TREX1), or are responsible for the failure in selection of autoreactive T cells in the thymus (PTPN22), for antigen presentation to CD4+ T cells or cause the activation of autoreactive B cells (BANK1, IRF5, BLK).

The goal of this diploma’s thesis is to inform about present development of light sources, new technologies and about achieved parameters of these light sources. The thesis is mainly directed to describe efficiency of transformation electric energy to light at single types of light sources. There are described the concrete technical parameters of sources quoted by manufacturers and the contructional solution of single types of light sources. There is created a graphic comparation of electrotechnical and light parameters of the light sources.
