Strategie vstupu na německý trh pro start-up firmu
Holubová, Michaela ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Olšanová, Květa (referee)
The goals of my thesis are to present the researched company an analysis of a German market in a speed-reading industry, to discuss the correctness of company's hypotheses about the German market compared to the German reality, and to suggest a marketing strategy for the company's market entry supporting the selected market entry mode. In the first part, the theoretical section is introduced in which motives for foreign entry, followed by models of an environment analysis, of entry modes and of a customer analysis are described. These models are further used in the second part in which specifically speed-reading market in Germany and a German customer are analyzed. Based on the analyses, the market entry mode of the company is suggested, followed by the evaluation of the previously defined hypotheses regarding a German customer and a product, and, lastly, the next steps which the company should execute are proposed.

Promoting communication in the classroom through the teacher's feedback
SOVOVÁ, Lenka
ABSTRACT This thesis will examine the feedback a teacher provides to a pupil during a regular daily interaction in English language teaching. This interaction has traditionally a three-phase structure called IRE (initiation, response and evaluation) or IRF, where F is a general follow-up, originally feedback. Traditionally, the third phase had evaluation function, but as it turns out, during the natural interaction between the teacher and the pupils in the classroom when the teacher focuses on the development of communication skills and when such interaction is more like an everyday conversation, this third stage has a different function, which is called discoursal by some authors. Such a feedback is very similar to the reaction heard by the speakers in everyday interaction outside classroom. The purpose is that the teacher tries to include pupils' responses to the discourse and not only correct and evaluate them. The teacher responds to students' answers with interest, some personal note, etc. This thesis will explore techniques that teachers in selected schools use to provide feedback in spoken language, it will examine whether the feedback is of evaluative or discoursal nature and what each type of feedback depends on. The aim of this thesis is to determine which type of feedback or which techniques are showing to be most beneficial for the development of effective communication for students.

Co-ownership of a unit - administration of a building and tract of land
Machová, Gabriela ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The Diploma thesis focuses on the current legislation of residential co-ownership, especially of administration of a building and tract of land. Its content is divided into two parts. The aim of the first part of the thesis is to present fundamental interpretation of an institute of residential co-ownership which is one of the types of co-ownership with a large number of specifics. The thesis includes also an outline of its historical development, an analysis of conceptual theories of residential co-ownership and explanation of essential terms of the institute. As one of the most important terms is considered the term unit. For correct understanding the thesis explains also other terms which the legislation of the unit expressly operates with. The relevant examples are the terms flat, commercial premises, building and tract of land and share of a building and tract of land. The first part of the thesis serves to obtain fundamental information about an institution of residential co-ownership and its essential elements that will be used during a deeper research in the second part. The second part of the thesis deals with comprehensive legislation analysis of administration of a building and tract of land. The constituent chapters include a definition of administration of a building and tract of land,...

Residential lease - protection of a lessor
Richtrová, Michaela ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to point out the specific status of the lessor in the residential lease within the meaning of the Civil Code, act no. 89/2012. This thesis is composed of five chapters and additional sub-chapters. The main part of this thesis is dedicated to describing the specific areas which might weaken the status of the lessor and at the same time to state selected institutes which through correct use in the residential lease might notably increase legal certainty and status of the lessor. The first chapter serves as the introduction of lease issues and brings the general reflection over the role of lessee and lessor in this legal relationship. At the same time also sets a target of this thesis, which is the statement of the problematic areas of a lease from the perspective of the lessor and suggesting possible solutions. The second chapter includes the fundamental features of the residential lease, with the emphasis on the characteristics and distinctions from other obligations. The third chapter consists of "prohibited agreements" and their impact on a lease and status of the lessor. This chapter also includes examples of these agreements - contractual fines, animals in the flat, smoking in the flat and work or business in the flat; other subchapters are dedicated to protection of...

Analysis of gene expression in maternal and fetal tissues exposed to cigarette smoke
Fejglová, Kamila ; Zikánová, Blanka (referee) ; Bruchová, Hana (advisor)
Despite widespread awareness of the adverse health effects of smoking, pregnant women expose themselves to this factor (firsthand and/or secondhand smoke). Cigarette smoke exposure during pregnancy increases the risk of preterm delivery, abortion or newborn sudden death syndrom. To study molecular mechanisms of cigarette smoke exposure in tissues of pregnant women and their newborns, we employed genomic approach and assessed gene expression profiles in leukocytes from maternal peripheral blood and umbilical cord blood and in placenta as well. Gene expression profiles of these tissues were determined by Illumina HumRef8 v3 expression chips that enable analysis of 23 811 coding, annotated transcripts. Microarray data were normalized using the quantile method. Differential gene expression was analyzed using moderated t-statistic. A linear model was fitted for each gene given a series of arrays using lmFit function. Multiple testing correction was performed using the Benjamini and Hochberg method. Comparative analysis of gene expression profiles between smokers (N=23) and non-smokers (N=62) revealed many deregulated genes, demonstrating a negative effect of cigarette smoke on transcriptome of the tested tissues. In peripheral blood of smokers, we detected overexpression of these genes; e.g. IFI27, IFIT1L,...

Tax reform in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
Sabaková, Jana ; Kapinusová, Jana (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
I wrote this thesis about the tax reform in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The simultaneous tax reform in Czech Republic valid from 1st January 2008 is very fresh and greatly discussed theme. Slovak reform proceeded in years 2004-2007. In the theoretical and practical part I mainly deal with the flat tax, the key-stone of the tax reform in both countries. The theory of the flat tax comes out from the principles of the effective taxation from Adam Smith. The reform based on the flat tax has been created by American economists Alvin Rabushka and Robert Hall in the 1980's. Slovakia based the reform on this concept and won recognition for its implementation. The Czech Republic tried to follow Slovakia but finally started out with corrections and simplification of the existing tax system. Besides comparison of the concepts with Rabushka's and Hall's parameters, I also examine the influence of the tax reform on the net revenues of individuals and families. In the Czech Republic I examine net revenues for 2007 and 2008 (the year before the tax reform and the first year of the reform). To be able to compare both countries I use years 2003 and 2004 for Slovakia (the year before tax reform and the first year of the reform).
