Analysis of the decision-making factors in freight forwarder selection process

The thesis analyses the factors of customer decision-making process by choosing a freight forwarder in the Czech Republic market. While applying factors by other relevant research studies dealing with the decision-making process of customers in non-European countries, the research examines factors characteristic for the Czech customers. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews as research methods are applied. Within the research, a new service quality instrument TARRQUAL was developed. The TARRQUAL was proved on a survey including 250 customers of freight forwarder Kühne+Nagel Czech Republic. As service quality measurement, TARRQUAL is supposed to be applied particularly in logistics business field. The project aims at providing input for empirical research in the field of service quality in container shipping, which is lacking in the Central and East European countries.

Effectiveness Evaluation of Waste-to-energy process

This diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of using municipal waste to produce energy. On the basis of legislation applicable in the EU methodology is summarized evaluation of the facility as an energy recovery of waste. In the thesis is also created a consecution to determine decisive coefficients of legislatively-based criteria. The consecution is applied to the case study. Thesis serves as the basis for a software application.

Bernstein´s theory on language deficit and it´s significance in pedagogy

The thesis presents the Bernstein's Deficit Theory of Language. In the first part, it deals with the introduction of the social determinants of the education by defining so-called linguistic codes. The following chapters address the question on how the present findings affect the process of education and the question of making the school education available to lower social strata. The last chapter presents the critique of this theory including its validation in the Czech Republic.

Process analysis of production company

The topic of this thesis is the process analysis of the production company. The main goal is to describe, model and asses the recent status of processes. The additional goal is the measurements and recommendations proposal based on the evaluations. The process management is described in the introduction of the theory with subsequent explanation of methods and methodology of process modeling. The basic standards for process models creation is described in the next part of the thesis. The analyzed company will be introduced in the practical part of the paper and the method derived from the theoretical part will be applied. After modeling the recent status the necessary measures and changes will be introduced to eradicate the identified problems.

Process Analysis As the Basis for the Implementation of a New Information System

The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the processes in the company POP service, Ltd., also to analyze the current problem in this company and to recommend and propose measures which eliminate the causes of the emergence of the problem. The causes originate from the aspects of the management of people and processes are identified through the analysis of processes associated with the problem and eliminated on the basis of proposals metrics and responsibilities for these processes. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to concepts in the field of process management. The theoretical part characterizes these concepts process management, business processes, process analysis and process modeling methods, process maps, graphical notation for writing business processes, business process improvement and analysis organization. In the second part of the thesis is presented the examined organizations POP service, Ltd.. Based on the analysis of the current state are defined vision, mission and goals of the organization. Then there is described a procedure of the analysis of the current state, which is process analysis and proposal of selected processes, metrics and responsibilities for these processes. Methods of analysis are SWOT analysis, analysis of the activities, structured interviews and process analysis. The result of this thesis is to analyze the selection of processes of the company POP service, Ltd., proposal metrics, define jobs and responsibilities and suggestions for improving the selected process.

Title: The characteristics of the triathlete participating in series Championship of the Czech Republic in triathlon and Czech Cup Age groups in the triathlon Objectives: The aim of this work is to characterize a triathlete participating two highest competitions in the Czech Republic in triathlon on the basis of chosen determinants of sport performance. Methods: In our thesis we used a made survey on the basis of former literature analysis. For data processing regarding answers on the survey it was used a statistical program SPSS PASW Statistics 18. The thesis was process by relevant tasks, i.e. relevant literature research, survey making on the basis of found areas in the theoretical part, distributing of the survey, data processing of the received answers and final processing of the received data. Research file was created by triathletes participating in series Championship of the Czech Republic in triathlon and Czech Cup Age groups in the triathlon which are stated in global results of these two competitions. Results: The results of the thesis confirmed conclusions of theoretical part whereas on chosen determinants outside factors of sport performance which were used for data gaining. Influence of process parameters in forward extrusion on the die loading

One of the decisive factors of effective using of forward extrusion technology is lifetime of forming tools. Die is very loaded forming tool which loading and therewith related lifetime can be significantly affected by its construction. Construction also affected quality of extruded material. Finete element method allows to simulate this process and assess force which is needed to extrusion and state of stress in die and extruded material. Numerical simulation was realized in program ANSYS 11.0. Influence of reduction, angle of reduction, lenght of extruded material, rounding transition of die parts, extruded material and friction coefficient on die loading and emergence of cracks in extruded material was set in this diploma thesis. Results can be used to die construction optimalization.

Views on the participation of citizens in decision-making - February 2013

In February, the Public Opinion Research Centre examined views on the involvement of citizens in decision-making processes. People would like to make decisions primarily on important local issues. This view is supported by 84% of citizens. On the other hand, decisions on important laws and international treaties should do politicians. This view is supported by 62 % in the case of laws and 75 % in the case of international treaties.
