Práce se zabývá teorií jazykového deficitu B. Bernsteina. Nejprve představuje sociálních determinanty vzdělávání pomocí definice tzv. jazykových kódů. V dalších kapitolách se věnuje tomu, jak uvedená zjištění ovlivňují proces vzdělávání a otázce zpřístupnění školního vzdělávání nižším sociálním vrstvám. Poslední kapitola mapuje kritiku této teorie vč. ověření platnosti v ČR. The thesis presents the Bernstein's Deficit Theory of Language. In the first part, it deals with the introduction of the social determinants of the education by defining so-called linguistic codes. The following chapters address the question on how the present findings affect the process of education and the question of making the school education available to lower social strata. The last chapter presents the critique of this theory including its validation in the Czech Republic.
