Spacetimes with photon rockets
Kolář, Ivan ; Podolský, Jiří (advisor) ; Krtouš, Pavel (referee)
In this work we study exact spacetimes that represent the gravitational field of a localized object accelerating due to an anisotropic emission of photons - pho- ton rocket. First, we describe general properties of the Kinnersley and the Bonnor rocket, which both belong to the family of Robinson-Trautman spacetimes. Sub- sequently, we summarize two main approaches to the study of asymptotically flat spacetimes: the Bondi-Sachs and the Penrose methods, combined and modified by Tafel and Pukas in recent papers. We compare the mass aspect of the Robinson- Trautman spacetime obtained by both methods, and generalize thus the relation found by von der Gönna and Kramer. Next, we calculate the energy-momentum vector, the Bondi rest mass, and the "news tensor for the arbitrarily moving Kin- nersley rocket. By using these results, we naturally define the velocity vector of the rocket with respect to the Minkowski "background spacetime. We conclude with the physical interpretation of the Kinnersley rocket in various reference fra- mes.

Music in the Junák - Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic
Vítková, Miloslava ; Tichá, Alena (advisor) ; Kodejška, Miloš (referee)
Diploma thesis "Music in the Junák - Associacion of Association of Scouts and Guides of the Czech Republic" points out the significance of music and musicalness in the activities of Scout organization in the Czech Republic. The thesis exemplifies these activities and maps current situation. The thesis also shows the possibilities of musically-pedagogical focus of activities used in the Scout Movement. In the first chapter, we speak generally about the Scout Movement both in the world and in our country. The chapter contains the topic of founding the Scout Movement by Lord Baden-Powel and also its adoption for Czech people by Antonín Benjamín Svojsík. Then, we describe the organizational structure of contemporary "Junák - svaz skautů a skautek ČR". In the next chapter, we present the music in "Junák". We describe important Scout pieces of music such as the anthem of "Junák", Taps, signal, and the anthem of the International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF). Then, we present some original Scout songs which survived in the movement despite the fact that the Scout movement in the Czech Republic was banned repeatedly in the history. The songs are live up to the present day. In the following chapter, we talk about the importance of the music in out-of- school environment. We become acquainted with three...

Index Suitable for Similar Search in High-dimensional Spaces
Krejčová, Martina ; Kopecký, Michal (advisor) ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee)
In this paper, we focus on indexing and searching in high-dimensional data. To achieve the target we implemented the Metric Index, a model of the similarity search based on the metric spaces, that employs many of known principles of partitioning and filtering. The metric space is a general model of similarity, which enables the usage of implemented index for various data. With this index, stored data could be searched effectively. The internal structure of data is hidden, we just require an implementation of the function for feature extraction, which produces a vector representing data, and the metric function applicable to the given data. The Metric Index was implemented as a data cartridge, the mechanism for extending the capabilities of the Oracle server. This data cartridge enables indexing of large unstructured data in the Oracle server known as LOBs.

Matematické modelování proudění krve
Michalová, Marie ; Hron, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Průša, Vít (referee)
At first we point out some important properties and behaviour of blood and blood particles. In the next part we approximate steady two-dimensional Pois- seiulle flow between two parallel plates. We show analytical solutions for New- tonian and power-law models. According to observations of Fahraeus-Lindquist effect we show two-layer models combining previously mentioned models. In the last section we model pulsatile Poisseuille flow and we show analytical and nu- merical results for some pressure and viscosity values. In the end we show our best model, where we shift pressure gradient and get closer to the real blood flow characteristics. 1

The most frequent nursing problems with children patients having atopic eczema
Zaciosová, Maria ; Býma, Svatopluk (advisor) ; Tomšová, Hana (referee) ; Hamáková, Květoslava (referee)
In the theoretical part deal with problem atopic eczema, its appearance, etiopathogenesis, clinical demonstration and therapy, I describe most frequently using methods or interesting and extraordinary methods of therapy and refer to problems which afflict patients with this disease, their parents and whole environs. I describe next services which are purveyed for these patients and I map organizations, which help in solving their problems. In the empirical part I probe amount of specify problems in patients with atopic eczema and assess medical documentation. In closing part I assess specify problems and I suggest their solving at the level nursing care i.e. I create standard plan of nursing care and educational plan.

Legal regulation of insurance and reinsurance in the Czech Republic and Great Britain
Gregor, Martin ; Karfíková, Marie (advisor) ; Bakeš, Milan (referee)
Insurance and reinsurance law in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom My diploma thesis focuses on the law of insurance and reinsurance. Insurance is an important sector within the financial services area. It helps to mitigate the consequences of unforeseen events, whose impact would otherwise be much more severe. Due to the high monetary volumes involved in this sector, the state regulates this industry. It sets the requirements to conduct the business, requirements in respect of the financial health and the obligations towards the supervising body. Reinsurance is closely connected to insurance, because in principle it is and "insurance of an insurance company", i.e. a risk transfer between the insurance and reinsurance company, where the reinsurance company pays claims to the insurance company in the case of unforeseen events specified in the reinsurance contract. Although most of us may never come accross reinsurance, it is a key differentiator when catastrophes happen, as they often cause significant damage. and it does not matter, whether they are natural or man-made. In these cases the reinsurers bear a substantial portion of the losses that the insurance companies then pay out to their clients. For this reason I am focusing on the regulation of these activities and I am comparing the regulation...

The evaluation doses of irradiation on the skin of the patients after mastectomy with breast cancer by TLD and planning system with and without bolus.
GALEKOVÁ, Dominika
My Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of doses of radiation on skin, in patients after a breast ablation for a carcinoma, with thermoluminescence dosimeters and planning consoles under bolus and without bolus. The thesis comprises two parts, a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the occurrence of breast tumour diseases, classification of tumour types and prevention of breast tumour diseases, as well as on the disease diagnostics and treatment. The practical part provides evaluation of a measurement related to a dose on the surface of patient{\crq}s skin and on the surface of Rando Phantom. Measurement results are presented in tables and graphs. In the practical part, we used the Rando Phantom for measurement of thermoluminescence dosimeters, an evaluation device for the evaluation of thermoluminescence dosimeters, bolus (tissue equivalent material) which increases the dose on body surface, homogeneous. The practical part and the entire Bachelor thesis compares radiation doses on the sin of patients after total mastectomy using bolus with doses measured on the surface of a phantom. Both the phantom and the patients were irradiated under the same radiation conditions. Results of measurements conducted at ONO in the České Budějovice Hospital show that an average dose obtained from individual thermoluminescence dosimeters is 1,88 Gy in a phantom with the use of bolus, 1,5 Gy in a phantom without vthe use of bolus, 2,14 Gy in patiens after total mastectomy usány bolus and 1,76 Gy in patients after total mastectomy without using bolus. When irradiating patients without the use of bolus, the dose permeates deep into the body and is lower, while with the use of bolus, the dose keeps on the body surface and corresponds to a dose defined in the treatment plan.

Intuitionistic logic as a useful tool
Vachková, Eva ; Švejdar, Vítězslav (advisor) ; Bílková, Marta (referee)
This work deals with intuitionistic logic and completness of Gentzen calculus with respect to its semantics. The completness proof uses saturated sequents. The language considered is at most countable. Furthermore, our work investigates one of the generalizations of intuitionistic logic, namely intuitionistic logic with constant domain, or Grzegorczyk's logic. We deal with Markov's principle and use it to prove that Gentzen calculus adapted to this logic is not cut-free complete with respect to Grzegorczyk's logic. Part of the work deals with Heyting algebras-one of the possible semantics of intuitionistic propositional logic. We show that the Rieger-Nishimura lattice is a Heyting algebra, too. For Heyting algebras, filters and prime filters are defined and used to obtain Kripke's frames. It is shown that the same formulas hold in these frames and in Heyting algebras.

Daphnia hybridization in canyon-shaped reservoirs
Dlouhá, Štěpánka
ABSTRACTS Part 1 Canyon-shaped reservoirs, characteristic by elongated morphology and by ecologically diverse conditions along both horizontal and vertical reservoir axes, are good model systems for ecological studies of zooplankton communities. Presence of ecological gradients improves habitat differentiation and may facilitate coexistence of related species. Here we provide detailed study of genetic structure of the Daphnia longispina complex inhabiting three canyon-shaped reservoirs. Using 12 microsatellite loci, we assessed taxonomic and genetic structure of assemblages composed by populations of D. galeata, D. cucullata, D. longispina and their interspecific hybrids. We focused on detailed taxon determination and on patterns of hybridization and introgression. High number of distinct hybrid genotypes in the samples suggested high frequency of hybridization; despite this, later generation hybrids were rare. In one reservoir inhabited by a single species, D. galeata, we also tested if environmental gradients may cause intra-population genetic diversification similar to spatial differentiation in species composition. Subpopulations along horizontal gradient in the reservoir, as well as those in different layers of the stratified water column, were significantly genetically differentiated. We propose that...
