The thesis deals with the use of electrophoretic methods in the analysis of pharmaceutically important compounds. In the theoretical part, the principles of basic techniques (like CZE, MEKC, ITP etc.) as well as on-line preconcentration methods (stacking, sweeping, ITP-CZE, tITP) are described. The first part of the experimental work deals with the use of on-line sample preconcentration techniques (ITP-CZE and LVSS with polarity switching) for the analysis of the complex matrices of plant origin. 1. The on-line ITP-CZE was used for the separation and quantification of phenolic acids derived from benzoic and cinnamic acids in methanolic extract of Epilobium parviflorum. BGE-S-BGE electrolyte system was used for the separation. The leading electrolyte in the ITP pre-separation step was 0.01M HCl, 0.02M imidazol, 0.2% HEC with pH 7.2; the terminating electrolyte was 0.01M HEPES with pH 8.2. The background electrolyte in the electrophoretic step contained 25mM MES, 50mM TRIS, 30mM boric acid, 10mM α-cyclodextrine, 0.2% HEC of pH 8.3. A single analysis took 25 min. No special sample pretreatment was required. 2. The next work focused on the application of a stacking-CZE method used for the separation and determination of eight phenolic acids in an extract of Epilobium parviflorum. Large-volume sample stacking...

Regulation of Weeds in Grown Hybrids of Maize
NAHODIL, Antonín
The degree work describes the biology and morphology of the weed plants, which are found in maize vegetation most frequently, as well as their spreading and possible regulation. Based on the findings acquired, the methods of chemical and mechanical regulation are described. The degree work describes briefly both the plant of maize itself and the process of its growing. The attempt took place on the school farm of the Agricultural School in Tábor; a small plot attempt was carried out at the same place. The frequency of the occurrence of weed species on the selected small plots was evaluated in the hybrids of maize (Zea mays). The degree work contains data on the extent of the occurrence of weeds on individual plots, on which the individual hybrids of maize were compared with one another. It also includes an economic evaluation and possible measures to eliminate the spreading of weeds.

Approach to the nuclaer safety of the 3rd generation nuclear reactors
Pavlíček, Michal ; Kolář, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kolář, Jaroslav (referee) ; Matal, Oldřich (advisor)
The main target of the master´s thesis is reviewing the generation III nuclear reactors in term of the nuclear safety. At first we have to learn some theory of the nuclear safety in order to understand safety systems of the generation III nuclear reactors. Therefore the thesis is divided into two parts. Legislative and technical approaches to nuclear safety are mentioned in the first part. Regulatory bodies, whose task is to supervise nuclear safety in the nuclear power plants, belongs to the legislative approaches. There are defined terms such as defence in depth, redundancy, diversity, etc. There are mentioned methods to assessing nuclear safety – deterministic and probabilistic methods, especially probabilistic methods, for which a simple example is provided. There are also mentioned active and passive safety systems and their significance for nuclear safety and inherent safety too. There is an example of the function of the active and passive safety systems of the EDU nuclear power plant in conclusion of this issue. The second part deals with description of the selected nuclear reactors in context of the construction of the new units of nuclear power plant in Temelín. The nuclear reactors from companies, which applied for the public tender opened by ČEZ, a. s., for the construction of the ETE 3+4. Thus, the nuclear reactor MIR-1200 by ATOMSTROYEXPORT (Russian Federation), the nuclear reactor AP1000 by WESTINGHOUSE (USA) and the nuclear reactor EPR by AREVA (France) are taken into account . Comparison of the generation II and these generation III+ nuclear reactors necessarily belongs to this master´s thesis. These the generation III+ nuclear reactors are compared with the nuclear reactor VVER 440 (EDU) and in particular with the nuclear reactor VVER 1000, which is operated in the nuclear power plant Temelín. The final chapter contains generally appraisal of the whole problem.

A Floristic Study of Petřín
Macháčková, Jana ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Skýbová, Jana (referee)
The first part of the thesis describes culture-historical and natural features of the gardens at Petřín. The reader learns about the protected area in the upper part of the gardens and crucial influences of human activity in this area in the past and present. The second part deals with the results of a dendrological survey carried out in the Kinský Garden and Nebozízek and floristic research of the nature monument Petřínská skalka in the period between spring 2004 and autumn 2005. The results of the mapping have been recorded in table files that relate to attached documentary maps. In the discussion, I compare the findings of the thesis to the results of inventoried materials and suggest possible causes of the differences obtaining between the two lists. In the didactic part, I suggest a way of using this area for educational purposes. It contains two tracks - one focused on timber species and the second on complex cognition of nature. Worksheets were for both the tracks. The text also includes documentary photographs of some monitored timber species and plants. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
