Global view on dynamics of impact oscillator
Peterka, František
Impact oscillator is the simplest mechanical system with one degree of freedom, the periodically excited mass of which can impact on the stop. The aim of this paper is to explain the dynamics of the system, when the stiffness of the stop changes from** to infinity. It corresponds to the transition from the linear system into strongly nonlinear system with rigid impact.

The influence of media to the public administration
Foglová, Leona ; Louda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Matula, Miloš (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with influence of media to public opinion. The main goal of this thesis is to verify or to disprove the hypothesis of the influence of media to the public administration. The quantitative sociological research is applied for finding results of defined hypothesis. The hypothesis says: media influence public opinion and public administration. The other goal of this thesis is to discovery if factors like gender, age or educational background influence how society perceives impact of media. The questionnaire is divided into five age categories and each of them has a different number of respondents. For that reason we can not compare the results but only speculate. After evaluation and analysis of the survey is the hypothesis accepted and these factors are commented.

The natural seasonal changes in the food choice and digestive tract of wild ruminants
Kamler, Jiří ; Homolka, Miloslav
Herbivore populations all over Europe have been strongly influenced by human activities. A combination of harvest, changes in forest structure, supplementary feeding, predator extirpation and others factors have led in most cases to increases of their populations and a severe impact on the composition and structure of the forest vegetation. The food choice of free living ungulate species is strongly influenced by season and animal species and changes in diet composition and quality cause the changes in the digestive tract. Effective management of ungulate populations and forest ecosystems should be based not only on detailed information about the impact of deer browsing and the number of deer to harvest but also on the density of deer species, the food supply, the structure of diets consumed by individual species, attraction and quality of the individual components of food supply the total quality of food taken and seasonal changes in digestive tract.

Evaluation of the effectiveness of prevention of tobacco smoking in secondary schools in the district Strakonice
HOCHOVÁ, Tereza
This thesis deals with the issue of smoking. It is a serious global problem. Illnesses and death associated with smoking are among the most important problems of Public health in most countries. The risk of damage threatens not only to active smokers but also those who are exposed to passive smoking. Abuse of tobacco is clearly linked to cardiovascular diseases, cancer and other serious diseases. Most smokers begin to smoke no longer in secondary schools. According to Kalina (2003) is modus 14 years. Therefore, preventive activities must be realized before this period. School (outside of family and peers) affects education, attitudes and values of the student. Compulsory school attendance does from primary schools ideal environment for implementation preventive activities. That is reason why I wanted to know if and how well schools use an education as a means of primary prevention. Theoretical part contains the terminology associated with tobacco issues, further a history of tobacco and methods of tobacco and nicotine use. The following chapters provide information of substances contained in cigarettes, selected diseases, prevention, legislation, cessation and withdrawal symptoms and methods of quitting. I used a quantitative method for research in the practical part. Respondents were selected from among pupils from primary schools of Strakonice. At each of the schools in Strakonice I addressed to 50 pupils. First half of them were educated and second half were not. Two hundred of students were interviewed together. I discarded two questionnaires. Total quantity of respondents was 198 students. Questionnaire contained 20 questions, which was designed for students of second grade of elementary school. I set three targets. The main target was to map the problem of smoking among pupils of primary schools in Strakonice, evaluate the impact of education on the knowledge of the respondents and ascertain the views of students on the quality of education. Research has shown that the prevalence of smokers among students of second grade of elementary school in Strakonice is lower than prevalence by GYTS. Older pupils (who were educated) smoke to the greater extent (15.3 %) than younger (uneducated) pupils (6 % smokers). More than 70 % of smokers want to quit the smoking. Almost 26 % of respondents tolerate smoking of other people. Impact of education was assessed by the knowledge part of the questionnaire. It contained eight questions with a choice of four answers, only one was correct. The quality of information obtained in the school, most pupils assessed as good or marginal. These three hypotheses were created: the prevalence of smokers among respondents is higher with higher age, there is a statistically significant difference in knowledge of the issue of smoking between educated and uneducated pupils, and school provides respondents more information than other sources. For statistical verification was used the chi-square test at a significance level of 5 %. The first and second hypothesis was confirmed. A third hypothesis was refuted. Most pupils answered: media (television, internet...), school and family. The quantity of answers was balanced and so we can't talk about a statistically significant difference. Survey has enabled me to become a teacher for two hours. I was able teach sixth grade pupils in the issue of smoking. I have gotten so complex idea about the role of education in primary prevention. I was also convinced that it is necessary to grasp the issue from the perspective of pupil, not teacher. The theoretical part of the thesis can serve as educational material for students, teachers and the public. The practical part can be used to compare the results with other works or to monitor trends of smoking in Strakonice.

Immigration as a factor endangering the bilateral relations between the EU and Switzerland
Jakšová, Karolína ; Jiránková, Martina (advisor) ; Němcová, Ingeborg (referee)
This thesis deals with the theme of bilateral relations between the EU and Switzerland, focusing on the current phenomenon of migration. The EU and Switzerland cooperate on bilateral sectoral basis, since Switzerland (hence the citizens of Switzerland) does not want to integrate into the European internal market to maintain its sovereignty and autonomy. Within the first series of bilateral agreements between the EU and Switzerland an agreement on free movement of persons was signed, thereby Switzerland opened its labour market to EU citizens. In February 2014, however, the citizens of Switzerland used the institution of direct democracy and adopted by a narrow majority the initiative to stop mass immigration. This step disrupted the agreement on free movement of persons and the complex negotiations started in order to solve this impasse. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impacts of immigration on the Swiss economy and the subsequent evaluation of the reasonableness to mitigate the immigration through a citizens' initiative.

Eating Disorders: Epidemiology and Risk Factors
Pavlová, Barbara ; Papežová, Hana (advisor) ; Kocourková, Jana (referee) ; Šípek, Jiří (referee)
This thesis explores the epidemiology and risk factors of eating disorders. It focuses on the impact of the political and cultural changes that occured in the Czech Republic in the early 1990s. The term eating disorders includes mental illnesses characterized by disturbances in eating behaviour: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and various eating disorders not otherwise specifieed. It appears that the incidence of anorexia nervosa was increasing until 1970s and remains stable since. The incidence of bulimia nervosa was rising until the end of 1990s. However, the data come from the western countries only. The epiemiological data from the Central and Eastern Europe region remain sparse. Eating disorders have multifactorial aetiology; which includes the recently emerging factors related to migration and acculatuation. Therefore, we hypothesised that the prevalence and incidence of eating disorders in the Czech Repulic rose in the 1990s and that factors associated with migration experiences may play a role in the development and maintenance of eating disorders. This thesis contains three different papers exploring different aspects of this hypothesis. The first paper shows that the number of hospital admissions for eating disorders in females aged 10-39 quadrupled between 1981 and 2001, and remained high till...

Osteoporosis, osteopenia and motoric activity
Brožová, Kamila ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Matoulek, Martin (referee)
The aim of the work was to evaluate the impact of physical activity on the bone health. There is some evidence that exercise-induced gains in bone mass in children are maintained into adulthood, suggesting that physical activity habits during childhood may have long- lasting benefits on bone health. During adulthood, the primary goal of physical activity should be to maintain bone mass. The age- related decline in bone mineral density is attenuated and the relative risk for fracture is reduced in people who are physically active. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Černá, Ria ; Šivicová, Gabriela (referee) ; Hrachovinová, Tamara (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to theoretically describe and empirically verify "typical moments", that partner of eating disorder ill women has to undergo from the beginning through progress and treatment of the illness in respect of the relationship. Both theoretical and qualitative practical part map the situations faced by partner during his female-partner's illness, how he figures in the illness system, how he influences his partner's illness, which mechanisms he uses to cope with the illness, how the relationship influences the progress of the illness, which needs and feelings are emphasized at the partner. Theoretical part of the thesis is based on world literature and the experience of coordinator of self-help group for eating disorder ill person's relatives and carers. It is also based on analysis of qualitative data acquired from questionnaires with open type of questions. The questions in the questionnaires were sorted into five areas: discovering of the illness and reaction on this finding, foreknowledge of malepartners about eating disorders and possibilities of treatment, needs of partner in time of his female-partner's illness (sharing of the illness, needs and feelings, relationship and communication, positive and negative impacts on male-partner, participation on the treatment and interest in...
