Volunteering as a tool of social pedagogy

SYNOPSIS The thesis has a form of a theoretical study with significant relation to practice in professional volunteer supervision in Kladno Volunteer Center. The thesis is divided in 7 parts. Part One is focused on the definition of basic terms such as volunteer, voluntary work. This part deals with the issue of awarding of volunteers. Part Two is devoted to the basic terminology of social pedagogy, including the definition of free time, the phenomenon, which is very important for both voluntary work and social pedagogy. Part Three is centered at history of social pedagogy and voluntary work. Key intersections of the two studied phenomena and their evolution are described. Part Four describes voluntary activities as a social phenomenon. Subparts are focused on the attitude of society towards voluntary work, the myths associated with it, as well as the volunteer work motivation. In part Five, I was trying to grasp volunteering as a tool of social pedagogy. The subparts combine my findings acquired from books and my own practical experience. Part Six is an analysis of a specific case of "Pět P" programme practice. Part Seven - the final one - includes a small scale empirical research. Ocenění Poldi Kladno a.s.

The main aim of the thesis is appoint the value of firm Strojírny Poldi, a.s. on 1st January 2009. Short history and basic profile of the firm are introduced at the beginning. Second part follows strategic analysis. The output of this part is two variations of the revenue forecast. Third chapter contains financial analysis, which is followed by the fourth one - the prognosis of value creator and construction of two variations of financial plan. Last chapter is the final valuation. DCF Equity was applied as the main valuation method and the value of the firm is appointed like an interval. The alternative valuation method is the method of Market comparison.

History of Municipal Library in Kladno

Bakalářská práce se zabývá historií Středočeské vědecké knihovny v Kladně (SVK Kladno, www.svkkl.cz). V první polovině práce je zahrnuto období do 80. let 20. stol, od vzniku knihovny po její přejmenování na Státní vědeckou knihovnu. Druhá část práce je zaměřená na její vývoj během 90. let do současnosti s důrazem na služby knihovny, regionální funkce, aktivity v oblasti práce s uživateli knihovny. Jsou hodnoceny změny, které knihovna prodělala během tohoto období, a zmíněny problémy působení knihovny. V závěru práce jsou popsány perspektivy knihovny.


Planck's Law and the Rise of Information Physics

A centennial history of celebrated Planck's radiation formula is briefly discussed from an information-theoretic perspective. A new rationale, based on Maximum Entropy Principle (MaxEnt), is suggested for the Planck formula. The MaxEnt-approach is intrinsically silent about famous quantum hypothesis, which is neiter required nor forbidden in this formalism. Some common historical myths and conceptual inconsistencies behind the Planck law are indicated, too.

Management of city theatres in Kladno and Mladá Boleslav

The thesis analyses activity of Městské divadlo Kladno (City Theatre in Kladno) and Městské divadlo Mladá Boleslav (City Theatre in Mladá Boleslav). It focuses mainly on their management and its price strategy. The first part aims on history, management, current situation, dramaturgical profile and attendance rate of both theatres. The second part focuses on marketing mix 4P, aiming on their price strategies. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the influence of management activities on economic situation of the institutions. Part of the thesis is also an evaluation questionnaire regarding visitors of city theatres in Kladno and Mladá Boleslav. The survey was created and implemented by the author of the thesis.

The Žďárští of Žďár. The history of aristocrats' family in Kladno region

The subject of this thesis is family history of Central Bohemian, Kladno or catholic line of the family of Žďárší of Ždár. The family belonged to lower nobility and was using title of knights. Knights Žďárský of Ždar came from western part of Bohemia from Doupov region (North East of well know town of Karlovy Vary). Their main residence was gothic fortress and later renaissance chateau in Žďár close to small town Doupov. The family belonged into great Bohemian house of Janovic part of which was also important and powerful lords of Kolovrat, lords of Janovice, lords of Vimperk and knights families of Zručský of Chřenovice and Čejka of Olbramovice and Dvořecký of Olbramovice. First written resources about Žďárský appeared already in 1295, when he is mentioned in one of the papers as a witness "Stanizlaus de Zar". It is certain, that family is even older. From 1300 - 1500 the family grew significantly, but continue to reside in the area of Doupov where they resided in only few fortresses. During 15th century there were formed four family lines. One of them died out already in 16th century, two other ones died out in 17th century and the last one continues until today in Germany. Under the name of Sahrer von Sahr von Shönberg. Significant factors for the development of Kladno region

This bachelor thesis deals with development factors in Kladno region and possibilities for further development in this region. I chose this region because I live and work there. I also think that the history of Kladno region still influences the region in its development. In the introduction part there is characteristics of this area and its history. In next part there are defined development factors such as population and housing, economics and labour trade, infrastructure and civic amenities, tourism and environment. Description of these factors is combined with examples of development activities, which are offered in Kladno region, and also with facts from the Czech statistics office. After this it continues with next part about sociological research of the inhabitants of Kladno. Questionnaire was used to collect these information. The results of the research are graphically processed and completed with relevant text. Then the SWOT analysis is made. The result of the SWOT analysis and also the aim of this thesis is to evaluate particular development factors of Kladno region in the fields of population, housing, economics, labour trade, infrastructure, civics amenities, tourism and environment, considering strategy of sustainable development of Statutory City Kladno from year 2007. In the end the important priorities, which the region should follow, are emphasised altogether with proposals for future development of this region.

Proposed model of regeneration and compensation for soccer players

The paper suggests a model of a recovery and a compensation for the football players. The focus of this paper is to describe the game from the impact on the organism point of view, then it sums up the possibilities of recovery after the performance and it also mentions the ways to compensate unsuitable consequences of the performance. Accordingly, the paper deals with a specialised football literature (its history and characteristics). The following chapters introduce the reader to the human physiology during the football performance and it explains the causes of the most common injuries and the appropriate regeneration cures. This paper could be used by the beginning sport coaches.
