Use of image-processing toolbox for powder particle diagnostics in plasma spray process
Chumak, Oleksiy ; Kopecký, Vladimír
For measurement of distribution of powder particles and their velocities on plasma spraying, imagigng by CCD camera is used.It is difficult to identify the particles injected into plasma jet on photos, because of high brightness of background light source, noises of CCD camera and low contrast of particle images.Filtering of the photos by a function of two-dimensional convolution.

The Son of David in Mathew's Gospel in the Light of the Solomon as Excorcist Tradition
Dvořáček, Jiří ; Mrázek, Jiří (advisor) ; Luz, Ulrich (referee) ; Mareček, Petr (referee)
The dissertation focuses on usage of the Son od David title in Matthew's Gospel. The thesis is based on the presumption that the image of the healing Son of David, as presented by Matthew, is not simply a result of Matthew's redaction of Mark 10,46-52 but is explicable against the background of contemporary Jewish concepts - in praticular in the light of the Solomon as exorcist tradition. Corporate identity of a tractor manufacturer
Hopfingerová, Ivana ; Chorý, Tomáš (referee) ; Rajlich, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with corporate identity of a tractor manufacturer. For this purpose fictive company called Haart was created. The endeavour of this corporate identity is to make an image of a reliable company which specialises in the production of high-quality agricultural machines. This is accomplished by an orange-grey colour scheme where orange stands for living (agricultural production) and grey refers to lifeless (tractor is a machine). The final corporate identity is presented next to company stationery, merchandise, orientation graphics and web page also on the tractor designed within the pre-diploma project. For advertising graphics needs typeface Haart was created. Part of this diploma project is also the creation of a design manual. It describes all elements of Haart‘s corporate identity.

Theoretical description of imaging by a digital holographic microscope
Slabá, Michala ; Komrska, Jiří (referee) ; Chmelík, Radim (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with theory of imaging in a transmitted-light digital holographic microscope using partially coherent illumination. The influence of spatial and temporal coherence state on optical sectioning property is solved. The coherent transfer function is calculated. From this function imaging characteristics for a two-dimensional scattering object are derived depending on its defocus. Two different designs of microscopes developed in the Laboratory of optical microscopy in IPE FME BUT are considered.

T cells labelling by bimodal contrast agent for in vivo studies of stroke
Krijt, Matyáš ; Poljaková, Jitka (advisor) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
Stroke is a serious brain injury, which causes sudden death or terminates in permanent neurological disability. Nowadays, tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is used as the only effective treatment of stroke. One of the potential targets for novel therapy are T cells. Even though the explicit role of T cells in the pathogenesis of brain injury, amounts and timing of all T cell subtypes infiltrating into brain during the stroke still needs further investigation. The research in this field is complicated by the lack of efficient methods for in vivo cell tracking. Therefore the aim of this thesis was to develop a method of T cells labelling by MRI contrast agent in order to investigate T cells distribution in ischemic mice model using in vivo MR imaging. T cells were isolated from C57/BL6 mice in two step isolation protocol using gradient centrifugation and magnetic separation with the efficiency of 97 %. The isolated cells were labelled with 100 μg Fe/mL of Molday ION Rhodamine B contrast agent. The labelling efficiency after 17 hours of cells incubation was higher than 99 %. The labelled cells were cultured with CD3 and CD28 antibodies resulting into the 74 % viability of labelled T cells compared to 83 % viability of non labelled T cells. The labelled T cells were visualized by fluorescent...

Multimedia Overview of Synoptic Meteorology
Pokorný, Michal ; Žák, Michal (advisor) ; Bednář, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis contains an overview of the synoptic meteorology, from the so called Norwegian meteorological school and its interlacing with more modern concepts. It deals with air masses, atmospheric fronts and pressure systems. Further, the overview of latter conceptual models of atmospheric fronts is presented. It shows using of satellite and radar measurements in synoptical praxis, as well. The first chapter introduces formation of air masses and apportionment of air masses. It notices transformation of air masses, too. The second chapter deals with basic clasification of atmospheric fronts. Fronts are shown with help of satelite and radar images. Creation and development of pressure systems follows.

X-ray microradiography of biological structures with Medipix 2
Mlynárik, Filip ; Beneš, Jiří (advisor) ; Špunda, Miloslav (referee)
In the present work we deal with x-ray microradiography, which studies imaging of objects by x-rays. Objectives of this work was to prepare a few demonstrational biological objects, scan series of transmissions pictures on the pixel detector Medipix 2 and analyse them qualitatively with help of SNR method.

Automatization of method of surface structure measurement by means of reflection mode digital holographic microscope.
Vacula, Daniel ; Šerý, Mojmír (referee) ; Lovicar, Luděk (advisor)
Reflected-light digital holographic microscope developed at IPE FME BUT uses off-axis holography principle and low spatial and temporal coherence illumination. Microscope allows reconstruction of the image amplitude and the image phase, which can be handled in real time. The only limiting factors are imaging speed of the detector and computer performance when processing holograms. Reconstruction of image phase and amplitude allows high-resolution profilometric measurements in the vertical axis direction. This thesis deals with the automatization of profilometric measurement method proposed in [2]. Proposed method uses the combination of the image phase and the image amplitude for the measurement of specimens with surface structure the vertical size of which cause the uncertainty of the image phase by a factor of 2pí. Futher the thesis deals with the construction design of the illumination system of the microscope and its realization together with experimental verification of functionality of proposed method automatization.

The Finnish Landscape Photography and Its Role in Helsinki School
Bureš, Mojmír ; SILVERIO, Robert (advisor) ; Ledvina, Josef (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I am focused on the images of the Finnish landscape photography and relationship to nature due to the harsh geographical conditions. I will describe the political and cultural influences that affected the aesthetic thinking about perception of scanned landscapes. Furthermore, I would like to deal with the influence by art that have shaped and inspired the Finnish authors and compare it with the perception of the country abroad. For example Dieseldorf photography school (Bernd and Hilla Becher, Andreas Gursky), Japanese photographers (Hiroshi Sugimoto, Rinko Kawauchi) Czech photographers (Josef Sudek, Josef Koudelka) and the others . List of the authors: Into Konrad Inha, Caj Breme, Ismo HÖLTTÖ, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Ilkka Halso, Maija Savolainen, Eeva Karhu, Kalle Kataila, Jyrki Parantainen, Elina Brotherus, Maanantai Collective, Mikko Rikala, Sandra Kantanen, Tiina Itkonen, Jorma Puranen, Susanna Majuri, Petri Juntunen, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Nanna Hänninen, Pentti Sammallahti, Karl Emil Stahlberg, Riitta Päiväläinen, Marja Pirilä, Ritva Kovalainen, Sanni Seppo, Juha Suonpää

Corporate identity of cultural institutions
