Dvořák, Josef ; Melzochová, Jitka (advisor) ; Babin, Jan (referee)
Thesis is focused on relationship between fertility rate and tools of state support. The goal is to reveal relationship between these two factors. Partial goal is to discover specific effects of tools of state support in specific regions of Czech republic. I have aimed on research at national level and also specific regions between years 1993-2014. In order to find these relationships I used method that compares differences in development of the fertility rate. After that, I set up regression model solved by method called fixed effects. For specific regions analysis was used OLS method. Model was able to explain more than 80 % of variability. This results can be used for predicting of citizens behavior, when some changes in family allowances occurs. Main finding is, that most motivating tools are parenting allowances and child benefits.

Methods: The methodology of the thesis aimed at the evaluation of the relationship between the athletic performance of the 4x100 metres relay and the member of this relay. The following three methods were applied in the thesis: The first procedure focused on the evaluation of the level of the relay exchange according to Dostál (1985), Vonstein (1988) and Oberste & Wiemeyer (1991). The second one analyzed the running technique in four different parts of the relay before the baton exchange. The third one considered the attitudes towards the practice of the relay exchange given the conditions in athletic clubs. Results: The goal of my thesis was to extend the knowledge of the level of a baton exchange in 4x100 meters women. Based on the video recording of individua! competitions and using questionnaires it is possible to conclude that the level ofpreparation ofwomen's relay team is low. Analysis of relationship between distribution of pharmacies and economic and demographic factors
Havlík, Karel ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Čermáková, Klára (referee)
This thesis main focus is to test the existence of relationship between number of pharmacies in a region and its properties. On data panel spanning over period from 2005 to 2012 in 73 regions, totaling to 578 observations I based econometric model. Average percent of sick leaves, share of pension recipients, share of doctors, the number of parts of village, and population density have been found to be statistically significant. Based on the model, implementation of regulatory fee per prescription was not statistically significant toward the number of pharmacies, even though it affected amount of prescriptions that were used in 2008. Impact of income was not analyzed due to lack of data.

Feřtrová, Jitka ; Krebs, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Tomáš (referee)
Internal migration is one of the possible ways to reduce unemployment within the country. The aim of this paper is to compare the volume of internal migration between NUTS II regions in the Czech Republic and Austria and to try to identify factors that act to the migration flows. The results show that Austria is characterized by increased internal migration, international migration, as well as commuting to work in another region. Since the Czech Republic all these indicators lagging behind, it is necessary to determine whether the internal migration of both states is influenced by the same factors. Specifically, the paper examined the relationship of interregional migration and the average disposable income, unemployment rate, number of vacancies, the size and distance of regions, using the method of multiple linear regression analysis. While in the Czech Republic the internal migration is motivated by economic factors, in Austria, the relationship of migration and selected variables was not confirmed. The paper finds that residents of Austria are more active in terms of migration, but this move has obviously other than economic incentives.

Míšek, Jakub ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Matoušek, Vlastislav (referee)
MÍŠEK, Jakub: Analysis of Polyphony of Indigenous People of Solomon Islands. [Bachelor?s thesis]. Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Music Faculty; Department of Music Theory and Music History. Thesis advisor : prof. Vladimír Tichý, CSc. Degree: Bachelor of Music Theory. Prague : HAMU, 2011. Pp. 70. The thesis provides an analytic view of the music of indigenous people of Solomon Islands which is distinguished by its frequent use of polyphony. A Czech reader going through the foreign, especially English-written literature, discovers a frequent use of the word polyphony. The thesis attempts to decide whether all these cases are entitled to be labelled with the Czech equivalent of the word polyphony, polyfonie. After a brief summary of the historical development in the region and depicting the main features of local musical cultures, the thesis presents nine analyses of examples of vocal songs coming from the islands of Guadalcanal, Malaita and Savo, which are focused on issues of melody, rhythm and structure. The last part deals with questions of homophony, heterophony and polyphony and explores their relationships and overlaps. Using my original method of analysis based on perceptual approach, the thesis proves that the term polyfonie can be used for non-European music. Keywords: Solomon Islands, ethnomusicology, homophony, heterophony, polyphony
