Problémy a modely v předpovídání záplav
Hokr, Milan ; Maryška, Jiří ; Šotner, O.
In the paper, we deal with the flood forecasting, in particular with determining the water flow as result of known precipitation. In the first part, we present several approaches how to express the water flow in the environment concluding underground flow, surface flow and channel flow in the ricer system (water runoff and flood routing). We discuss possibilities to simplify the shallow-water equations for slowly varying flow to either potential flow or advection-dispersion process. On the second part, we present results of two example models of 2D surface flow in the landscape, first based on the advection-dispersion representation of surface flow and the second mixed-hybrid FEM model based on potential flow approximation.

At the end of the resulting models edit as necessary.

The transformation of the hegemonic party: the case of Mexico
Mrvová, Lucie ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Paulenková, Kristína (referee)
In many countries there are several political parties in power. In some of them, however, one party is in a position of hegemony. Other political parties are prevented to exercise their real power and often act only as a parties creating an illusion of democracy in a state where it does not exist. The present thesis deals with the hegemonic party systems in terms of their origin and subsequent transition. The thesis is based on the hypothesis that changing the rules of the hegemonic party will lead it to lose its status and power. As a case study of the hegemonic party regimes serves political system in Mexico, Mozambique and Cambodia. The first chapter defines the notion of a political party, party systems theory and transition mode. The second chapter deals with the hegemonic party systems. The third chapter deals with the case of Mexico and its system of hegemonic party. Findings refute the validity of the above hypothesis, since in many countries, even after the successful completion of the transition, earlier hegemonic parties maintain their power and their electoral support is high.

Ball-Joint Limited Heating during Accelerated Testing
Kříž, Ondřej ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The object of this work is design model of ball joint and define boundary conditions for real condition representation as most exact as possible. Then set parameters of test in TRW-DAS, a.s. for prevention of reacceleration with change of failure mode. Summary of ball joints, their testing and accelerated tests is in the beginning of the work. Next part describes ball joint creation in Pro/Engineer, transfer to Ansys, preparing to solution, fatigue test evaluation and comparing with create model.

Analysis of operation data for purposes of optimization
Slavíček, Martin ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of operation data for purposes of optimization. The thesis is divided into four chapters. First chapter focuses on present and future development in waste management legislation. It mainly deals with prevention, recycling and disposal of waste. Second chapter more closely describes waste-to-energy process. This chapter also describes the technology of municipal waste incinerator in Liberec, Termizo, a.s. Third chapter starts with description of tools used in design of the models based on operation data. Then the models for individual technological nodes are described. The last part is focused on building a complex model of Termizo using previous results.

Enhancement of HSS tools cutting performance with PVD coatings
Medek, Martin ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Diploma work describes speed drill steels and its qualities before and after coating by methods PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition). The theoretic part is concerned with thermic processing of speed drill steels and their qualities with regard to individual alloying elements contained and its mechanical features. Second part of the theoretic part is concerned with particular methods of coating by the help of PVD technologies, kinds of coating with regard to additional elements and their qualities and surface treatments of coated material before and after its coating. The goal of the experimental part was the confrontation of cutting power features of cylindrical four-fluted face mills with straight shank, from speed drill steels non-coated and coated in two basic modes of milling – down-feed method and upfeed method. The results of measurements were interpreted by the help of four basic pictures (source values, power analysis, specific values). The result of all the experiment is that the application of PVD coatings enabled the increasing of cutting speed (with preservation of other cutting requirements) and led to decreasing of cutting force and cutting enforcements and extended durability of cutters.

Fluidized-bed Combustion of Dry Stabilized Sewage Sludge in Oxy-fuel Mode
Moško, Jaroslav ; Pohořelý, Michael ; Durda, Tomáš ; Zach, Boleslav ; Šyc, Michal ; Svoboda, Karel
Sewage sludge is an inevitable waste stream from wastewater treatment and its disposal is complicated due to specific characteristics of its composition. Sewage sludge combustion/incineration is the only suitable way for disposal of large volumes of sewage sludge containing POPs and some heavy metals. Sewage sludge combustion reduces the volume of such waste and causes destruction of organic contaminants. Oxy-fuel combustion is a technology for simplifying CO2 sequestration from the flue gas by using nearly pure oxygen instead of air for the combustion. In order to control the combustion temperature, part of the flue gas is recycled to combustion chamber. The paper brings information about investigation of the effects of combustion temperature and concentration of oxygen in inlet combustion media on the emissions of NOx, N2O and SO2 in FB combustion of sewage sludge. The experimental results have shown that an increase in combustion temperature leads to an increase in NOx and to a decrease in N2O emissions in the temperature range 750–930 °C. The lowest SO2 emissions were measured in the temperature interval from 800 to 820 °C in all experiments with different oxygen concentration in inlet gas. It was found that when the oxygen concentration in inlet gas increased, the emissions of SO2 increased while emissions of NOx slightly decreased.

The course of execution proceedings
Jelínková, Petra ; Žák, Květoslav (advisor) ; Spirit, Michal (referee)
The thesis deals with a very actual issue of execution, from the beginning to the end of proceedings, which monitors and analyzes each individual stage. Discusses the legal rules execution, execution modes, specifies the notion of the party and also addresses every single stage of the execution proceedings separately and in detail. It also deals with the rights of debtors and the frequent problems associated with the course of the execution proceedings, and shows the real life situation from the perspective of a party, whether in the role of the debtor himself, debtor spouse or roommate. The aim is to clarify the basic rights of debtor during the execution proceedings and demarcate negotiations of executors. Furthermore, my goal is to evaluate the current legal status of execution proceedings under the Enforcement Regulations, focusing in particular on its shortcomings and difficulties and also to ascertain whether the rights of debtors are sufficient. The motivation for the treatment of this issue for me is the large media coverage of the topic, his ignorance of the citizens and also a major financial illiteracy of the nation, which each year brings more problems to individuals and families.

The Models of Power Lines for PLC Data Communication Systems
Fajkus, Petr ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis is focused on the issue of data communications over power lines. This technology is known as PLC (Power Line Communication). Wider deployment of this technology into practice at present prevents a number of shortcomings. Main problems are disturbance useful signal on power lines, radiation interference, small reach of useful signal and elements of energy network, which affect the transmission. In the analysis of sub-problems, it appears that it is appropriate to have a computer power line model, allowing a computer simulation of data communication over power line. It is necessary to combine two different, conflicting requirements. Power lines are not primarily intended for data communication, and data lines are not designed for the transmission of electricity. Both types of line are described the same primary parameters, but they operate in completely different modes. This thesis examines these modes and possible models of power and data lines in terms of data communication. The main part is devoted to the draft power line model for data communication and computer verification of the functionality of the new proposed model.

Doležel, Ivo ; Šolín, Pavel ; Musil, Ladislav ; Ulrych, B. ; Karban, P. ; Barglik, J.
A lot of up-to-date industrial technologies associated with treatment of solid and liquid metals are based on thermal and force effects of electromagnetic field. The fundamental process is induction heating of metals that precedes a number of consequent operations such as tempering, drying, melting, stirring, hardening, hot pressing etc. The paper summarizes physical essence of the above processes (that usually represent complex coupled problems) and presents their mathematical and computer models as well as possible methods of their solutions.
