Conventional imaging procedure in radiology with a view to urogenital system (the education programe)
DVOŘÁČEK, Petr
In my work I concentrate on the basic examination methods for the urogenital system. It is about excretory urology (VUG), cystograph, cystouretrograph, retrograde uretrograph (ascending), histerosalpingograph (HSG), retrograde (ascending) pyelograph and antigrade (descending) pyelograph. Very detailed I describe the indication, the preparation and the follow through of the examinations. I am trying to compare non-invasive and invasive methods in the diagnosing of the urogenital system. I use the statistics of chosen hospitals in south of Czech Republic area in the time-span between 2000 and 2006. The modern radiodiagnostics methods together with the non-invasive and invasive methods in the diagnosing of the urogenital system still have non replaceable meaning in algorithm of the examinations in the urogenital system.

New Methods for Increasing Efficiency and Speed of Functional Verification

Use of Real Options in IT Investment Valuation
Polakovič, Robert ; Šebesta, Michal (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis presents the new approach to IT investment valuation by using real options. In the introductory part the traditional methods of information investment valuation are introduced and described. It gives a detailed summary of valuation methods that could be used for valuation made in the traditional way. Next part deals with the financial options, its definition, types, parameters and methods of valuation. Some basic methods of reducing the risks (hedging) with the help of financial options are mentioned as well. After that, the real options, the difference between real and financial options, behaviour, parameters and methods of valuation are introduced. Next chapter analyses and describes the chosen frameworks for using real options in IT investment valuation. The selection was performed so as to give reader a full idea of possible ways real options could be used. Final part presents a case study where one of the chosen frameworks is applied to a real project so as to show all aspects and level of complexity of this solution.

Anti-money laundering measures from the perspective of financial law
Špás, Martin ; Marková, Hana (advisor) ; Vybíral, Roman (referee)
This thesis, titled "Anti-money laundering measures from the perspective of financial law" aims to introduce the essential aspects of the money laundering and futher to define basic procedures and methods for the fight against money laundering, not only on the national level but also on the international level. It is mainly focused on the description and explication of this worldwide phenomenon which is affecting the national economics and national interests. The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the current legislation, for example by comparative analysis of the different legislation in selected countries. In context of globalisation and development of information and communication technologies, it is necessary to develop the legislation constantly and to reflect new tendencies which money laundering lead to. This organised crime is a phenomenon threatening the global economy, therefore each state should develop and implement the right legal measures in this area in order to substantially reduce this economic crime.

Nursing procedures in taking blood pressure
SEDLÁKOVÁ, Tereza
By blood pressure is meant lateral pressure or the side pressure of a blood column on the side of a vessel. The pressure is created thanks to the action of heart as a blood pump. This pressure is not the same in different parts of the bloodstream. By the blood pressure is meant the arterial pressure or pressure in the artery, so the pressure in big blood vessels. The highest values are reached in the expulsion phase of the heart action, which is called systole. The lowest values are reached in the phase of filling heart chambers, which is called diastole. The sole nursing procedures required in the process of taking a blood pressure reading are many and all must be followed. This thesis is composed of a theoretical part and practical part. Introduction to the theoretical part is composed of the main terminology from the physiology of blood pressure. In the theoretical part we follow with division on hypotension and hypertension, which are the most common diseases related to blood pressure, with diagnosis and recommendation for treatment. This thesis also offers information about measuring blood pressure by the invasive and the non-invasive method. The theoretical part is focused on the importance of the nurse in the process of measuring blood pressure with emphasis on her knowledge and practical skills.

Sustainability Analysis of Small and Medium Enterprises
Vojtěšek, Cyril ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
The Diploma thesis analyzes the attitude of small and medium Czech enterprises towards the Green IT and sustainability concept. Several practices such as consolidation and virtualization of servers, desktop virtualization, cloud computing, energy management, dematerialization and recycling are discussed with regards to their contribution to global sustainability. The common denominator of most of the Green IT practices is the energy consumption reduction. The increasing information technology's demand for energy is viewed as a major contributor to the global carbon footprint and Green IT practices are assessed in terms of how much energy can be saved by incorporating them in a company policy. Besides energy consumption material aspects are another significant part of Green IT. Both the toxicity of certain materials used in the manufacturing process and the increased need for proper recycling of electronic waste are discussed in respective chapters. Information technology does not only add to the global carbon footprint, but it can also provide means to reduce the emissions of other sectors. Companies can reduce their energy consumption by improving logistics (smart logistics) or buildings (smart buildings) efficiency. Teleworking is another practice which enables millions of people work outside their office and contributes to global sustainability. The analytical part presents a survey of Czech small and medium enterprises and their attitude to Green IT. The main objective of the survey is to find out how many companies have implemented Green IT into their company policy. Company representatives report on which Green IT practices they have adopted and why. Responses are analyzed and findings and conclusions are presented.

Analýza společenské odpovědnosti firem v nejvýznamějších ICT společnostech z úhlu pohledu Green IT
Kovalenko, Iryna ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
This thesis is based on the concept of corporate social responsibility in world class ICT companies. This relatively new way of managing business became very popular among big corporations which are trying to reduce their environmental footprint while following the path of sustainable development. The aim of this study is to prove the importance of Green IT in the current dynamically developing world of ICT, and to explore the area of sustainability from the Green IT perspective. That is why three main areas are defined: sustainable development, corporate social responsibility and Green IT. The first part of the thesis covers interconnectivity between those terms. The next part represents the process of launching green initiatives into a corporate business model. It describes all the necessary steps of implementation, especially showing the important legislative aspects which help to prevent many potential issues. These practices are based on the MMDIS methodology and its conceptual Model of Integration. Another target of this thesis is to define the leading ICT vendors from all the perspectives -- as the most socially responsible company and the most preferable employer. The obtained results distinguish five companies from the others: Hewlett-Packard, Dell, IBM, Intel and Microsoft. The key achievement and added value of the thesis is the identification of the most problematic areas in the analyzed companies and presentation of their Green IT solution to prevent following issues.

Beyond (classical) adaptation
Jindřichová, Markéta ; Mravcová, Marie (advisor) ; Petříček, Miroslav (referee)
Film adaptations are often confronted with criticism that they distort, reduce or picture inaccurately the original. The film was and often still is traditionally treated as an illustration of literary original, and thereby is a priori doomed to be always worse than the original. In my work I focus on such kind of film adaptation, which is an original piece of art and which doesn´t sponge on the literary model, but is rather a mutation in another (audiovisual) media. On example of three specific adaptations, which in my opinion break these criteria, I want to show how filmmakers transform the original text into the peculiar and original film work. The three mentioned adaptations fully utilize their potential (i.e. the possibility of a new organization of time, space, rhythm, character, etc.) and also represent a certain degree of metamorphosis, interpretations, updates, and independence from the original text.

Economic analysis of the company Dřevoterm, s.r.o.
Androvičová, Adela ; Vávrová, Hana (advisor) ; Slunčík, Peter (referee)
Economic analysis investigates certain economic subject by using variety of different economic and mathematical-statistical methods and procedures. In the present work we perform economic analysis of wood producing company Dřevoterm, s.r.o. for the years from 2007 to 2011 based on externally available data. From approaches of economic analysis we use methods of financial analysis including analysis of absolute and relative financial ratios, pyramidal decomposition of financial ratios and global indexes of financial health. Further we analyze net working capital, costs and stocks of the company in detail. Obtained results are discussed in context of theoretically optimum values, average results of the whole wood producing industry and external factors which influenced analyzed company during past years. The results show that despite growing revenues of the company the majority of calculated indicators scored with a worsening trend and the company should focus primarily on reducing cost of revenues.
