Drugs and activities that could cause danger to life, health or damage to property
HANDSCHUHOVÁ, Silvie
The objective of this thesis is to summarize the effects of drugs, especially of the cannabinoids and amphetamine type stimulants, and to analyse which of these substances leads to high-risk activities, that could endanger life, health or result in damage to property. One of these activities, an important one, is driving under the influence of drugs. Driving itself is a complex demand, involving perception, decision making, psychomotor skills, knowledge, as well as attitudes and personality characteristics. Substance use and abuse has an impact on the functioning of the brain and mental processes and therefore on the performance of the driving task. Driving under the influence of drugs is a high risk activity which endangers not only the driver but also their surroundings. In the last few years, the Czech Republic registered a rapid increase in the number of impaired drivers, namely at police check points and in car accidents. The young drivers are mostly under influence of marijuana, respectively tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Its negative effect on driving results from impaired co-ordination, slowed complex reaction time and in space and time distortion. The second group of drugs which can impair drivers is amphetamine type stimulants. Amphetamines are frequently sought by truck drivers, especially long-haul drivers, in Western Europe for its stimulative effects. In the Czech Republic the methamphetamine, Pervitin, is much more common. Intoxication is characterized by increased wakefulness, increased physical activity, increased respiration, rapid heart rate and an irregular heartbeat. The risk factors for driving are a lack of concentration and an overestimation of one{\crq}s own capabilities. After the acute phase of intoxication subsides, fatigue or states of narcolepsy may occur. Another amphetamine-based drug is methylenedioxymethamphetamine, MDMA or Ecstasy. This synthetic substance, chemically related to mescaline, is dangerous due to its ability to regulate body temperature. On rare but unpredictable occasions, this can lead to sharp hyperthermia, resulting in liver, kidney and cardiovascular system failure, and death. It can also cause hallucinations. All common drugs are easily detectable with ``drug test-cards{\crqq}, which are used during police checks around the the world. The Czech Republic is currently testing their utilization and is preparing legislation accordingly. Utilization of these tests during random checks could help to decrease the number of fatal road accidents and could help to decrease the number of impaired drivers on the roads.

Computer game - a peculiar literal creation?
Kovaříková, Šárka ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Kubíček, Tomáš (referee)
The bachelor thesis with the topic "Computer game - a peculiar literal creation?" consists of two parts. The first part introduces computer games in general and takes up the RPG genre, which is the closest one to literature due to its large content of text. It shows that for playing computer games similar abilities are needed as for reading books (mainly reading and information literacy). The term "flow-experience while playing computer games" is mentioned as well. Further, different scientific approaches, which can be applied to research about computer games can be found. The last topic of the first part describes fictional worlds, where different stories can take place. These stories are created by the different narrative categories - narrator and tale, time, space and characters. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis and interpretation of the computer game "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion". This part verifies that for playing computer games it is necessary to know special types of literacy. Besides that, the game shows one type of fictional world, where all the narrative categories create a specific world with its own rules.

Space and eschatology
Gondáš, Jaroslav ; Macek, Petr (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
The thesis deals with the problems of the perception of space in relation to eschatology. Its intention is to explore the main factors that have to led to the suppression of the spatial dimension of eschatology in favour of the time dimension throughout the history of Christianity. The main focus is on biblical eschatological motifs and their gradual transformation within the church and within the wider context of European thought. To support such an aim, a thorough analysis of two phenomena is provided: the history of European cartography and the relations between eschatology and utopian theories. The final part sums up the state of contemporary theological reflections on the topic studied and states partial conclusions and standpoints. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

138 let vývoje urbanizace ve střední Evropě – dlouhodobé srovnání městských regionů v Rakousku a České republice
Klusáček, Petr ; Martinát, Stanislav ; Matznetter, W. ; Wisbauer, A.
Conceptually, this paper is based upon the CURB model of city region development set out by VAN DEN BERG et al. in 1982. Empirically, our paper tries to expand the original study in both time and space. In time, we are updating developments to the most recent population register data available (2007), but we also go back in urban history to the first modern census held in the Habsburg empire (1869). In terms of geographical coverage, we are adding data on the three largest mononuclear city regions in the Czech Republic, i.e. Prague, Brno and Plzen, to the three largest city regions in Austria, i.e. Vienna, Graz and Linz (these had already been included in the original CURB study).

Impact of internet on education
Sedláček, David ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Rosický, Antonín (referee)
The content of this work is to warn on issues of internet impact in education. Usage of information in this process plays a crucial role. At the beginning, work deals with the analysis of basic concepts in close relation to the Internet and information society. The concept of education is logically relevant and connected with a tendency to its measurability. Several aspects are also discussed such as digital divide or informational and computer literacy and how these aspects affect use of the Internet. At the same time space is devoted to the electronic communication or electronic education as key elements with a great degree of influence in the internet environment. The last section describes the view of both sides in the process of acquiring knowledge - students and teachers. Including a survey, matched with a summary of the work and accompanied by recommendations, which direction should the education takes effort.

Vlastnosti universálního hašování
Babka, Martin ; Majerech, Vladan (referee) ; Koubek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a model of hashing with an acceptable worst case time complexity. The model is based on the idea of universal hashing and the expected time of every operation is constant. The used universal class of functions consists of linear transformations between vector spaces. This class has already been studied with a good asymptotic result. This work improves the result and proves that the expected amortised time of the scheme is constant.

Working in its first chapter deals with the identification, evaluation or sources from which it is based. The second chapter briefly depicts the development of public administration in Prague and the creation of Greater Prague in 1922. In the third chapter, there are defined authorities, where the Prague municipal affairs usually took place, and their competence. The fourth chapter explains the functioning of the electoral system, which was an important determinant of the form of the party system. The electoral system with highly proportional effects allowed representation of number of parties (mainly arising from the cleavages in the society).
