Intraspecific diversity in the ichthyofauna of the Czech Republic, its knowledge and protection

At present, 48 fish and 2 lamprey species occur in the waters of the Czech Republic. Of these, 22 fish species are protected by law all over the country or locally, the protection of 3 fish and 2 lamprey species is conditional. For the time being, there are no legal means to protect their intraspecific (genetic) diversity. In this point, one can only utilise certain indirect measures that follow from the limits pertaining to endangered species. The available knowledge of intraspecific diversity of the fish fauna in the Czech republic is fragmentary an incoherent. That is one of the causes of the absence of legislative means to protect the intraspecific diversity. In addition, the apprehension of this phenomenon by the piscatorial public is insufficient although this diversity is the most endangered by the very fishery management. Increased research and knowledge of the intraspecific diversity of particular species is inevitable as the basis for its conservation.

Proměnlivost multiplikátorů vládních výdajů v čase: Evidence z dat z USA

This paper estimates the size of the government spending multiplier over different states of the economy. Previous research came with two contradictory conclusions. Part of the literature argues that the spending multiplier is larger during recession and zero-lower bound periods, while the second one concludes that it remains constant. First, a summary of the relevant literature is presented, outlining different types of used methodological approaches and estimated size of the multiplier. We build a model estimated using local projections by Jorda for the period 1889 to 2016 to estimate government spending multipliers over different states of the economy. Our results show that the spending multiplier remains constant over different states of the economy.

Community Centre Roškovce

This thesis deals with the problems associated with the relationship between Romany socially excluded localities and the majority in Slovakia. It shows how the Community Centre Roškovce manages to improve the situation in the village. The author's view is not only a view of a social worker, because the author of this thesis studies the Romistic (Romany studies) at Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University at the same time. She used the knowledge in Romany language and Romany culture; she collected data during observation. Two of the Centre's goals are: 1. to provide services to the whole community in Roškovce, and 2. improving the relationship between the Romany community in Roškovce and the Slovak majority in the neighbourhood. AE Source Localization and Emission Parameters Correction Using Neural Networks

In the contribution, the new method, based on artificial neural networks (ANN), is proposed, which estimates the AE source location by processing other extracted signal parameters instead of arrival time differences.The complete signal inversion is not necessary for good diagnostic decision, and a simplified correction of the most important signal parameters by trained neural networks is sufficient.

Comparison of quantitative LIBS analysis of steel standards utilizing single-pulse and double-pulse LIBS

In this diploma thesis the differences between single pulse and double pulse laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) methods are discussed. The time evolution of laser induced plasma (LIP) parameters, such electron density, plasma temperature, density of ions and atoms is shown. Selected methods for evaluation of plasma parameters (Boltzmann equation, Saha-Boltzmann equation etc.) are also stated. The theoretical bases of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE), which is necessary condition for using of previously stated methods for computation of plasma parameters, are discussed. Diploma thesis also contains the description of each component of our LIBS experimental set up and the way of their optimization. Presented theoretical advantages of DP LIBS method are demonstrated on results of experimental measurements of steel standards.

Analysis of influence of code doppler on mean acquisition time in direct sequence spread spectrum communication systems with serial search

This contribution shows influence of code Doppler on mean acquisition time of a serial search direct-sequence spread/spectrum pseudo/noise code acquisition system in Gaussian channel. Results of this analysis enable us to set the parameters of this system to the optimum values and minimize the mean acquisition time.

Community Aproach to the People with Mental Health Problems As Alternative to the Institucional Care

In the history the care of people with a mental health problems was going through a lot of changes. Most of the people were accepted as a part of a society. The family and a local community had been taken care of them. Only a small part of people with a mental health problems had been banished or kept in prison. With the beginning of a modern period the people with a mental illness have devoted and segregated in a large extent. The psychiatri and care for disordered people occured rapid developement in 20th century. In the 50's the psychiatric institution had been closing down in a many advanced countries. Institutional care was replaced with a out-patient and comunity care services. The main target of a community care is to help to the people with a mental illness so they can live in a naturally neighbourhood. The Great Britain has ranked among countries with a along tradition of community care. The broad range of services in the domain of living, employment and a leisure time arised here. The attitude to disordered people was also changed. In the Czech republic the community work set up to apply in 90's. Since the time the big progress was reached. Modelling, parameter estimation, optimisation and control of transport and reaction processes in bioreactors.

With the significant potential of microalgae as a major biofuel source of the future, a considerable scientific attention is attracted towards the field of biotechnology and bioprocess engineering. Nevertheless the current photobioreactor (PBR) design methods are still too empirical. With this work I would like to promote the idea of designing a production system, such as a PBR, completely \emph{in silico}, thus allowing for the in silico optimization and optimal control determination. The thesis deals with the PBR modeling and simulation. It addresses two crucial issues in the current state-of-the-art PBR modeling. The first issue relevant to the deficiency of the currently available models - the incorrect or insufficient treatment of either the transport process modeling, the reaction modeling or the coupling between these two models. A correct treatment of both the transport and the reaction phenomena is proposed in the thesis - in the form of a unified modeling framework consisting of three interconnected parts - (i) the state system, (ii) the fluid-dynamic model and (iii) optimal control determination. The proposed model structure allows prediction of the PBR performance with respect to the modelled PBR size, geometry, operating conditions or a particular microalgae strain. The proposed unified modeling approach is applied to the case of the Couette-Taylor photobioreactor (CTBR) where it is used for the optimal control solution. The PBR represents a complex multiscale problem and especially in the case of the production scale systems, the associated computational costs are paramount. This is the second crucial issue addressed in the thesis. With respect to the computational complexity, the fluid dynamics simulation is the most costly part of the PBR simulation. To model the fluid flow with the classical CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) methods inside a production scale PBR leads to an enormous grid size. This usually requires a parallel implementation of the solver but in the parallelization of the classical methods lies another relevant issue - that of the amount of data the individual nodes must interchange with each other. The thesis addresses the performance relevant issues by proposing and evaluation alternative approaches to the fluid flow simulation. These approaches are more suitable to the parallel implementation than the classical methods because of their rather local character in comparison to the classical methods - namely the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) for fluid flow, which is the primary focus of the thesis in this regard and alternatively also the discrete random walk based method (DRW). As the outcome of the thesis I have developed and validated a new Lagrangian general modeling approach to the transport and reaction processes in PBR - a framework based on the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) and the model of the Photosynthetic Factory (PSF) that models correctly the transport and reaction processes and their coupling. Further I have implemented a software prototype based on the proposed modeling approach and validated this prototype on the case of the Coutte-Taylor PBR. I have also demonstrated that the modeling approach has a significant potential from the computational costs point of view by implementing and validating the software prototype on the parallel architecture of CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture). The current parallel implementation is approximately 20 times faster than the unparallized one and decreases thus significantly the iteration cycle of the PBR design process.

Geocaching as promotion brewing in Jindřichův Hradec

This work focuses on geocaching - free time aktivity for turists - and its utilization in marketing. The dissertation describes real support of local brewery. The aim of the dissertation is to show less traditional promotional method that can attract and bring new potential customers. Essential part of the dissertation is also estimated calculation of the costs related to the promotion.
