Image analysis in an agitated particle - liquid transparent system
Ditl, P. ; Severa, Miroslav ; Šedivý, V.
Large tall vessels with a draught tube are used for the mixing of suspensions especially in cases where high homogeneity and heat tranfer are desirable. The article describes flow behaviour of liquid in the vessel with a draught tube. LDA method (Laser Doppler Anemometry) was used for measurement axial velocity profile. The experimental configuration for LDA method was produced by firm DANTEC. Experimental results are compared with numerical simulation and other experiment.

The Finnish Landscape Photography and Its Role in Helsinki School
Bureš, Mojmír ; SILVERIO, Robert (advisor) ; Ledvina, Josef (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I am focused on the images of the Finnish landscape photography and relationship to nature due to the harsh geographical conditions. I will describe the political and cultural influences that affected the aesthetic thinking about perception of scanned landscapes. Furthermore, I would like to deal with the influence by art that have shaped and inspired the Finnish authors and compare it with the perception of the country abroad. For example Dieseldorf photography school (Bernd and Hilla Becher, Andreas Gursky), Japanese photographers (Hiroshi Sugimoto, Rinko Kawauchi) Czech photographers (Josef Sudek, Josef Koudelka) and the others . List of the authors: Into Konrad Inha, Caj Breme, Ismo HÖLTTÖ, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Ilkka Halso, Maija Savolainen, Eeva Karhu, Kalle Kataila, Jyrki Parantainen, Elina Brotherus, Maanantai Collective, Mikko Rikala, Sandra Kantanen, Tiina Itkonen, Jorma Puranen, Susanna Majuri, Petri Juntunen, Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Nanna Hänninen, Pentti Sammallahti, Karl Emil Stahlberg, Riitta Päiväläinen, Marja Pirilä, Ritva Kovalainen, Sanni Seppo, Juha Suonpää

Nippon re-discovered. The image of Japan in central European modernism 1920-1940
Čapková, Helena ; Švácha, Rostislav (referee) ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (advisor)
Japanese influence on Europe was particularly strong in the period of japonism, which is widely pinned down and limited to the second half of 19th century. However, this Japanese vogue transformed into a sophisticated knowledge and admiration for Japanese art, philosophy and everyday life by the interwar period. This transformation happened within a framework of international modernity and is a subject of this text. What is the Japanese element in modernism that alludes its latent japaneseness? I argue that it is a symptom of Japanese aesthetics that deeply rooted into common consciousness by the time between the wars. The geographic focus of this paper is on Central Europe and Japan. Japanese art scene has been an active participant of international art debates since the beginning of 20th century. This dynamic situation in Japan played a crucial role in seeking the history and unique face of modernism. Many prominent artists took part in this process including the ones for Central Europe. Therefore, few case studies will be included, such as on Johannes Itten, Bedřich Feuerstein and Bruno Taut.

Volume Visualization of Human Skulls
Hrinčár, Vladimír ; Pelikán, Josef (referee) ; Maršálek, Lukáš (advisor)
Volume visualization is an important tool for exploration and understanding of complex 3D scientiffic data, as those acquired for example by CT scanning. Recent advancements in hardware and software renewal interest in interactive, high-quality volume rendering as it now becomes feasible even on desktop computers. In this work we present new application designed for visualization of CT scans of human skulls. We focus on image quality and add new features for skull comparison and di®erence visualization. Our solution is based on .NET application, which provides user interface(GUI) and external volume renderer as dynamic link library. We have implemented complex renderer for high-quality isosurfaces using algorithms based on interactive ray-marching methods including self shadowing and transparency. We also add support for multiple volumes and introduce new rendering modes for difference visualization. In addition our system uses NVidia CUDA technology, showing how to harness the power of modern GPUs for accelerating this complex task. Our results show that we are able to deliver interactive visualization tool, which can greatly help in areas like anthropological research.

Extrakce fototextur pro 3D fotometrickou rekonstrukci
Peroutková, Hedvika ; Suk, Tomáš (referee) ; Buriánek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of creating textures from photographs, especially for a computer model of buildings. The fact that images are taken from diff erent views and border points of a texture are known is supposed in this thesis. Within the frame of this thesis a system for texture extraction from photographs, searching correspondences in textures and merging textures from di erent views to the fi nal high quality texture suitable for a given model was developed. The problem of registration textures obtained from di fferent images is solved both by feature method based on SIFT descriptors and by method arisen from a deformation model. The implemented methods are also applicable for texturing of huge models in suffi cient quality. We restrict our task to texturing 3D surface models built up from planar faces.

Tertiary preventive care in orofacial clefts
Jasaňová, Katarína ; Dušková, Markéta (advisor)
Congenital Cleft lip and palate in the Czech Republic is one of the most occurring congenital defects. Neural tube defect is a complex disabilities whose treatment requires multudisciplinární approach and guides the individual from birth to adulthood. It represents the life of the victim, especially during childhood , adolescence and young adolescence , a number of complications that manifested in virtually all areas of life affected people and have biological, psychological and socio-economic manifestations and consequences. primarily, the defect negative functional consequences of biting , swallowing, breathing and making the voice and speech. Aesthetically affects facial triangle, which most affects the appearance of the face. Isolated defect is not lethal or associated with mental defect , but in up to 20 % may be associated with an associated morphological disabilities. damage to the face has a significant impact on the self-image of the affected individual , the reaction of the environment may be another source of stress. The consequences of defects is significantly reflected in the claims asked to close the affected individual , in particular the family. After 80 years, the increasing attention paid to the psychological explorations , dealing with self-image and quality of life of patients with cleft...

Rosí, Michal ; Mervart, Michal (advisor) ; Habarta, Pavel (referee)
This thesis examines the current view of users of passenger transport in Prague on its customer quality. The motive of this work is to identify the actual company's image with the personal city and suburban transport. For interest Gross, that provide transport and transport services in Prague, implemented rapid changes in Prague public transport at, especially in order to make the whole system more efficient, more user pleasant and friendly and introduce direct connection, where demand requires. The aim of this work is to map changes in public transport on 1st of September 2012, describe their impact on the economic efficiency of the system and try to discover the view of public opinion on quality of PID system. To achieve the first two objectives were used research data that individual interest groups have issued, in order to maintain transparency in the field. The third objective was studied using with the method of questionnaire.

Stage reconstruction of the Black masks
Burianová, Zuzana ; Etlík, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Makonj, Karel (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis concerns the reconstruction of a Hradec Králové production of Black Masks. The main focal point is Leonid Andreyev´s biography and an attempt to capture events that could have influenced his dramatic work. My sources were mainly comprised of monographs published in English. Another focus of my research was outlining the social situation in the period after the Velvet Revolution and the related problems which the Klicpera Theatre was met with during the post-communist era. This part has been accomplished with the help of atricles from various Hradec journals, which documented any cultural and social changes in the region. During the reconstruction I used the only remaining contemporary materials ? black and white photographs of the productions, two reviews and the programme. Having gathered and processed all information available, I was able to recreate the image of the production, which had its Czechoslovak premiere on 5th May 1990. By doing this work, I also wanted to draw attention to the fact that since then, this play has not been staged again in this country.
