Development of international trade exchange with strategically important countries: China, Russia, India and Ukraine

Subject of my master thesis is evaluation of strategically important partners of Czech Republic in international trade: China, Russia, India and Ukraine taking into account their political and law environment, economic environment and social and cultural environment. All of this information is used for analysis of common international trade relations in past with special focus on last 10 years. In the final part of each chapter, dedicated to specific region, I predicted development of future trade relations and I defined strategically important areas of business that can help to accelerate Czech export to these markets.

Toll impact on the costs in international truck transport

The aim of the Master's thesis is to compare and quantify the impact of the introduction of electronic toll collection system at the costs of the carrier's export transport of Prešov (SK) - Werlte (DE). Attention is devoted to a detailed analysis of the cost of toll truck emission standards Euro II, Euro III and Euro V. Analysis of the toll costs consists of quantifying the unit costs per kilometer, the total annual costs and transport costs in the period of the years 2003 and 2010.

Reversed discrimination in the Community contexts

Reverse Discrimination in the Community Law Context Gabriela Machačkova The final thesis discusses the issue of reverse discrimination, which arises when nationals/products of a Member State are disadvantaged because they are subject to a national regulatory measure, while foreign (EU) nationals/products are protected from that national measure by virtue of European Community (EC) law. It examines the question of scope of EC Law, specifically focusing on the extent to which nationals of a Member State who have never exercised their Community rights can claim their rights by applying the Treaty establishing the European Community. It addresses the question of extension of the scope of EC law to cover purely internal situations in which no inter-State element is present, and to which the fundamental freedoms (free movement of goods, services, persons and capital) do not apply. First, it reviews the development of European Court of Justice case-law on reverse discrimination and situations which can be regarded as purely internal. The time frame discussed in the thesis ranges from the late 1970s until the present. Reverse discrimination and purely internal situations are analysed in terms of the examples of the Court's jurisprudence. Working conditions of drivers in the international transport

The main aim of the thesis is a comlex description and explanation of legislative concernig the working conditions of drivers in branch of international transport. It provides the reader general overview of the whole field including function of the digital tachograph system and current development of EU legislative. In the practical part, there are described some actual problems, which occur in this area - it's especially the question of road controls and fines. The opinions of drivers concernig this matter are included as well.

Analysis of strengthening intellectual property rights on selected economic indicators in selected world countries in years 2013 to 2015

This paper analyzes the relationship between the protection of intellectual property rights, and selected economic indicators between 2013 and 2015. The topic is the impact of intellectual property protection to economic growth and development. The theoretical part analyzes the different views on the issue of intellectual property, its forms of protection and analysis of international protection. It also defines GDP, GDP per capita, foreign direct investment and research and development expenditure. The practical part analyzes the correlation between these economic indicators and index of intellectual property rights, as an indicator of the strength of protection of intellectual property rights in selected countries. Martina Smržová, 2011/2012 Abstract International Insolvency Law Key Words: COMI, Establishment, Vis Attractiva Concursus With regard to the broad extent of international insolvency law, the author focuses mainly on the Court's jurisdiction in the context of the European insolvency law. The subject of interest is therefore the EC Regulation No. 1346/2000 on insolvency proceedings (the "insolvency regulation"). The aim of this thesis is (1) to summarise development of interpretation of the most important terms concerning the court's jurisdiction to open the main insolvency proceedings, the secondary proceedings and proceedings which relate to the insolvency proceedings; and (2) to propose amendments to the insolvency regulation especially regarding the Report which will be prepared by the Commission on application of the insolvency regulation no later than the 1 June 2012. The work is divided into five main chapters. A short introduction in the first chapter is followed by the second chapter which deals with an introduction on the international insolvency law.
