Description and its subject: through the eyes of the observer
Fedrová, Stanislava
The category of beholder as key mediator of the surrounding world (or its image) in an artwork results from confrontation of verbal and visual descriptivity. The paper focuses on the role of beholder and the influence of processes of her perception on the descriptive structure. It seems inevitable to inquire into the ways and devices of transforming the perspective of a character into narratorial discourse or into that of an implied beholder. Concurrently, it is necessary to differentiate between the mode of beholder where emphasize is on perception, and the mode of interpreter, i. e. such apprehension of the world, which employs e. g. pictorial models and cultural/visual concepts intently in order to induce evocation or visualization in readers. The paper examines the assumed “objectivity” or noninterpretative character of description by displaying a variety of observer’s perspectives in description and also in ekphrasis as a specific type of description.

My bachelor thesis observes masks and it's representation in contemporary art in order to express identity. In the first part, the brief theory of mask is being presented. It concerns definitions, etymology of the word mask and theories in which mask is related to the identity. Considerable part of work studies mask in visual arts. Trough several art works from modern era, we can see the way mask entered into the tradition of modern and consequently contemporary art. Brief view is given on contemporary perception of identity. Important types and functions of mask are devided and the way how contemporary artists approach the topic of the mask and identity is descripted. Keywords Masks Face Art Identity Contemporary art

Woman education after surgery for malignant of female geniatale
ELLINGEROVÁ, Zdeňka
The theme of my bachelor´s thesis is Education of women after surgery for malignant disease of the genitals. In the thesis I write about care and selfcare of women after gynecological surgery. I find out in whitch part of selfcare are women educated. The thesis is divided into chapters to clarify all technical terms. The first chapter is about anatomy of female genitals and examinig methods in gynecology. In the next chapter I write about classification of malignant disease of female genitals, I describe their specifics, manifestations, examinig methods and possible treatment. Some of gynecological malignant disease are operable, so I describe surgical approaches too. Further are described oncology centers, thein equipment and how many are there in the Czech republic. The next chapter is about a role of midwife in care of women after surgery for malignant disease of the genitals, and of course a psychological approach with oncology patients, becouse oncology disease is a very dificult life situation. And it is midwife´s mission to help these women. All of midwifes should know this psychological approach. The last chapter is about nursing, nursing process in care of oncological patients and about education. I describe an education about care of surgical wound and protect of infection, diet and emptying, pain and its relief, movement and sexual life after a surgery. The objectiv of my thesis was to find out chat women knouw about selfcare, if they understand the informations. I used qualitative method structured interview, in the research part of thesis. The interview I did with 8 patients of gynekology department in a Hospital České Budějovice a.s. the structured interview have 13 questions. The patients are different ages, have different level of education and different surgery approaches. I set 3 research questions: Want the women to know more information about their health condition? Are the informations of midwifes undestandable or very professional? Observe the women recommendations of midwifes? Eight interviews show that the rate of the submitted informations is sufficient, women know how to take care of yourself. And they know, if they need anything can ask a midwife. On the second did not answer all women equally. Two of the women said, they did not understand all of the midwifes said. They wanted less technical terms. Six of the women understood all. The third question answered all women equally. They observed the recommendations of midwifes. The research shows women are satisfied with nursing care after surgery. The level of informations is enough to care of yourself. They are satisfied with midwifes´care on the gynaecological department. All af women are educated about specifics of their type of surgery, care of surgery wound, hygiene, protect of infection, diet, emptying, sexual life after release from hospital. I think this tehsis can be used as an educational material for midwifes or students of midwife.

Clustering and regression analysis of micro panel data
Sobíšek, Lukáš ; Pecáková, Iva (advisor) ; Komárek, Arnošt (referee) ; Brabec, Marek (referee)
The main purpose of panel studies is to analyze changes in values of studied variables over time. In micro panel research, a large number of elements are periodically observed within the relatively short time period of just a few years. Moreover, the number of repeated measurements is small. This dissertation deals with contemporary approaches to the regression and the clustering analysis of micro panel data. One of the approaches to the micro panel analysis is to use multivariate statistical models originally designed for crosssectional data and modify them in order to take into account the within-subject correlation. The thesis summarizes available tools for the regression analysis of micro panel data. The known and currently used linear mixed effects models for a normally distributed dependent variable are recapitulated. Besides that, new approaches for analysis of a response variable with other than normal distribution are presented. These approaches include the generalized marginal linear model, the generalized linear mixed effects model and the Bayesian modelling approach. In addition to describing the aforementioned models, the paper also includes a brief overview of their implementation in the R software. The difficulty with the regression models adjusted for micro panel data is the ambiguity of their parameters estimation. This thesis proposes a way to improve the estimations through the cluster analysis. For this reason, the thesis also contains a description of methods of the cluster analysis of micro panel data. Because supply of the methods is limited, the main goal of this paper is to devise its own two-step approach for clustering micro panel data. In the first step, the panel data are transformed into a static form using a set of proposed characteristics of dynamics. These characteristics represent different features of time course of the observed variables. In the second step, the elements are clustered by conventional spatial clustering techniques (agglomerative clustering and the C-means partitioning). The clustering is based on a dissimilarity matrix of the values of clustering variables calculated in the first step. Another goal of this paper is to find out whether the suggested procedure leads to an improvement in quality of the regression models for this type of data. By means of a simulation study, the procedure drafted herein is compared to the procedure applied in the kml package of the R software, as well as to the clustering characteristics proposed by Urso (2004). The simulation study demonstrated better results of the proposed combination of clustering variables as compared to the other combinations currently used. A corresponding script written in the R-language represents another benefit of this paper. It is available on the attached CD and it can be used for analyses of readers own micro panel data.

Internal equity principle in the context of company strategy
Kopecký, Martin ; Nový, Ivan (advisor) ; Háša, Stanislav (referee) ; Blažek, Ladislav (referee)
The thesis deals with the scientific problem of the link between the strategic management and the compensation system using the principle of internal equity. The work is based on two pillars, namely the qualitative research and own proposed solution. The first part of the thesis describes the qualitative research and the possibilities and the synergistic effects of linking business strategy and compensation system. The qualitative research is performed as a multi-case study and investigates the phenomenon in the practice of three companies from various markets (the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bosnia and Hercegovina) and industries (finance, IT/Telco and FMCG). The research tries to find answers to the four research questions: How does business strategy influence compensation process? How can compensation support the realization of a business strategy? How can business strategy be linked with a compensation system within the principle of internal equity? How can compensation reinforce the strategic function of the human resources management? The research is based on the study of theoretical sources as well as on practical fieldwork. The qualitative research itself uses qualitative research methods for data collection, such as observations, questionnaires, and document analysis. The population questioned was top managers, line managers and representatives of HR department. In total, 142 interviews were performed by a single person. The collected data were analyzed and the triangulation was applied. The findings were summarized and generalized into a final report that brings answers to the research questions above. The research brings valuable findings used in the second, design part of the thesis. The own proposed solution consists of two main models. The first one is a simplified scheme of the compensation system and the second one is a model of strategic segmentation of jobs. The first model could be used successfully in the business practice as well as in education. The second model of the strategic job segmentation brings answer to the question of synergistic linking of business strategy and the compensation system within the principle of internal equity. The model brings valuable findings and a foundation for further theoretical research and its further development. The model also brings practical solution to the design of related policies and processes in the strategic management of human resources. By the design of both proposed models the main objectives of the thesis were achieved.

: Investigation of lymphocyte populations in the porcine small intestine
Kárová, Kristýna ; Šinkora, Marek (advisor) ; Javorková, Eliška (referee)
8 ABSTRACT Historically pig is allocated to a group of animals which use certain parts of their small intestine to acquire a fully developed primary B cell reperoire. Development of such primary repertoire is independent on the antigen presence and resembles the primary lymphopoietic activity of avian bursa of Fabricius. However, some findings concernig the pig's alignment in the above mentioned group suggest otherwise. This graduation thesis is focused on the investigtion of lymphocyte populations and subpopulations in the small intestine of germ-free and conventional piglets. The aim is to determine whether the percentage amounts of lymphocyte populations is dependent on the intestinal colonization. Using Flow Cytometry the significant differences between individual samples were assesed allowing us to conclude which parts of the small intestine could possibly be used for the development of B cell repertoire. Moreover, the status of isotype switching of B lymphocytes isolated from different intestinal parts was determined by the means of PCR analysis. Our data suggest that the small intestine colonization has a crucial role in development of all the main lymphocyte populations as well as some of their subpopulations. The greatest influence of colonization was observed concerning B lymphocytes and their...
