Conditions of Life of Families Living on Social Allowances in the Long Term
BERANOVÁ, Kateřina
This thesis for baccalaureate is dealing, theoretically and practically, with issues of the living conditions of families living on social allowances in the long term. The objective of the thesis was to describe the conditions of life of a selected sample of families living in dependence on the state system of the social protection focused on the social conditions of life of the families. A partial objective was to appreciate possible relationship of conditions of life of the families and the occurrence of social pathological effects and criminal activities in these families. I used the method of a concerned observation and a guided interview with the quality research. The observation was carried out in the course of visits to families and interviews with individual family members. The interviews focused on several pre-determined topics. From the data obtained from observations and interviews with the families members, I drew up four case studies. The comparison of case studies that followed proved a relationship between the lives of families depending on the financial support of the state and occurrence of the negative phenomena such as criminal activities and drug addiction. These phenomena produce a negative effect on interpersonal relations in families, contribute to psychological and emotional devastation of their members and impair the functions of the family as a whole. It is also possible to state that the surveyed families live on the conditions of income scarcity due to a low financial support of the state. It results in a certain degree of insulation of the families from their social surroundings. The criminal activities and social pathological phenomena still increase the social insulation of the families. The families attempt to resolve a number of the problems of their existence, mainly those of housing and employment. These problems are resolved by themselves or with some assistance of the broader family. For various reasons, these attempts tend to be unsuccessful. Therefore, they are left to the support of the external that is currently insufficient.

Kamenský, Petr ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Katolický, Jaroslav (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with design and comparison of heating systems. In diploma thesis is designed system with gas condensing boiler, system with heat pump and system with gas condensing boiler for heating and solar collectors for heating of hot water. Content of this thesis is calculation of house heat loss, design of radiators, design of heat systems including a check of protective components, regulation with the help of thermostatic radiator valve, calculation of economical evaluation and creation of design documentation. Design is made for systems with unified temperature fall 55/45. For the variation with heat pump is computed a possibility of using the heat pump as an univalent or bivalent heat source. In the analysis of costs is considered a usage of natural gas for heating and warming of hot water with a condensing boiler, annual consumption of electric energy for operation of electrical appliances in household, consumption of electric energy for operation of heat pump for heating and warming of hot water and consumption of electric energy for warming of hot water in case of system with solar collectors. In the final evaluation a pay-off period is determined.

Use of Interest Rate Models for Interest Rate Risk Management in the Czech Financial Market Environment
Cíchová Králová, Dana ; Arlt, Josef (advisor) ; Cipra, Tomáš (referee) ; Witzany, Jiří (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to suggest an appropriate approach to interest rate risk modeling in the Czech financial market environment in various situations. Three distinct periods are analyzed. These periods, which are the period before the global financial crisis, period during the financial crisis and in the aftermath of the global financial crisis and calming subsequent debt crisis in the eurozone, are characterized by different evaluation of liquidity and credit risk, different relationship between financial variables and market participants and different degree of market regulations. Within this goal, an application of the BGM model in the Czech financial market environment is crucial. Use of the BGM model for the purpose of predicting a dynamics of a yield curve is not very common. This is firstly due to the fact that primary use of this model is a valuation of interest rate derivatives while ensuring the absence of arbitrage and secondly its application is relatively difficult. Nevertheless, I apply the BGM model to obtain predictions of the probability distributions of interest rates in the Czech and eurozone market environment, because its complexity, direct modeling of a yield curve based on market rates and especially a possibility of parameter estimation based on current swaptions volatilities quotations may lead to a significant improvement of predictions. This improvement was also confirmed in this thesis. Use of swaptions volatilities market quotations is especially useful in the period of unprecedented mone- tary easing and increased number of central banks and other regulators interventions into financial markets that occur after the financial crisis, because it reflects current market expectations which also include future interventions. As a consequence of underdevelopment of the Czech financial market there are no market quotations of Czech koruna denominated swaptions volatilities. I suggest their approximations based on quotations of euro denominated swaptions volatilities and also using volatilities of koruna and euro forward rates. Use of this approach ensures that predictions of the Czech yield curve dynamics contain current market expectations. To my knowledge, any other author has not presented similar application of the BGM model in the Czech financial market environment. In this thesis I further predict a Czech and Euro area money market yield curve dynamics using the CIR and the GP models as representatives of various types of interest rates models to compare these predictions with BGM predictions. I suggest a comprehensive system of three criteria, based on comparison of predicti- ons with reality, to describe a predictive power of selected models and an appropria- teness of their use in the Czech market environment during different situations in the market. This analysis shows that predictions of the Czech money market yield curve dynamics based on the BGM model demonstrate high predictive power and the best 8 quality in comparison with other models. GP model also produces relatively good qua- lity predictions. Conversely, predictions based on the CIR model as a representative of short rate model family completely failed when describing reality. In a situation when the economy allows negative rates and there is simultaneously a significant likelihood of their implementation, I recommend to obtain predictions of Czech money market yield curve dynamics using GP model which allows existence of negative interest rates. This analysis also contains a statistical test for validating the predictive power of each model and information on other tests. Berkowitz test rejects a hypothesis of accurate predictions for each model. However, this fact is common in real data testing even when using relatively good model. This fact is especially caused by difficult fulfilment of test conditions in real world. To my knowledge, such an analysis of the predictive power of selected interest rate models moreover in the Czech financial market environment has not been published yet. The last goal of this thesis is to suggest an appropriate approach to obtaining pre- dictions of Czech government bonds risk premium dynamics. I define this risk premium as a difference between government bond yields and fixed rate of CZK IRS with the same length. I apply the GP model to describe the dynamics of this indicator of the Czech Republic credit risk. In order to obtain a time series of the risk premium which are necessary for estimation of GP model parameters I firstly estimate yield curves of Czech government bonds using Svensson model for each trading day since 2005. Resulting si- mulations of risk premium show that the GP model predicts the real development of risk premiums of all maturities relatively well. Hence, the proposed approach is suitable for modeling of Czech Republic credit risk based on the use of information extracted from financial markets. I have not registered proposed approach to risk premium modeling moreover in the Czech financial market environment in other publications.

Contacts betweeen family and school on elementary school
Lívancová, Šárka ; Hadj - Moussová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
Diploma thesis discusses the communication between family and teachers, especially the specific aspects of this interaction considering small schools. The communication between parents and teachers is one of the important parts of coordination of parents and school. Communication can be divided into direct, represented by f a c e - t o - f a ce contact between parents and teachers, and indirect, which comprise telephone conversation and other messages delivered by the pupils. This t h e s i s focuses on the direct type of communication. It aims to describe s p e c i f i c forms of direct communication in context of s p e c i f i c traits of r e l a t ed environment. We assume, that the village environment, which is common for small schools, doesn't suffer of anonymity of large cities, and that people in this environment generally have closer contacts with each other. Small schools are schools for 6 to 11 years old, o f f e r i n g only the primary level of education, for which the higher rate of p a r e n t - t e a c h e r i n t e r a c t i o n is typical. In these small schools, the primary education has the p o s s i b i l i t y to preserve i t ' s autonomy, and it i s n ' t influenced by the secondary level education, which appears to be dominant, when the both levels are combined. Last but not least...

The role of ATM in breast cancer
Soukupová, Jana ; Pohlreich, Petr (advisor) ; Souček, Pavel (referee) ; Foretová, Lenka (referee)
Incidence of breast cancer is continuously increasing in the Czech Republic. Tumor development is a result of gene alterations'accumulation, particulary associated with genes involved in regulation of cell growth and division. Hereditary carcinomas account for approximately 5-10% of all breast tumors and in 60-80% cases are caused by a germline mutation in the major predisposition genes BRCA1 and BRCA2. Nevertheless, other genes, mostly of lower penetrance, may play a role in breast pathogenesis such as the ATM tumor-suppressor gene. ATM is the apex of the repair pathway of DSB. This protein kinase activates through phosphorylation of its substrates cell cycle checkpoints, which leads either to the delay of the cell cycle progression until DSB are repaired or to the promotion of apoptosis. To sum up, the ATM gene seems to have a role in breast cancer development in a minority of the high-risk families in our population which is significantly lower compared to BRCA1/2 and it also seems to be involved in pathogenesis of sporadic breast cancer. Despite the ATM gene's length, we do not perform the preventive screening of this gene in breast cancer high-risk families. Nevertheless, we offer the molecular diagnostics of ATM to ataxia telangiectasia patients.

Family house

The subject of this diploma work is the new building of a family house at Boží Dar town, that is situated in the mountain resort. The family house has a cellar, it is two storied with an attic apartment. The building is devided into three units . The first unit is found on the first floor and is designed as an apartment. The other units are situated in the attic and are designed for a short-term or long-term renting. The house is designed of cut bricks with a ceramic ceiling construction. The perimeter wall is thermally insulated with a contact insulating system and partly covered with a stony facing. There is a saddle-shaped roof on the house. The building site is sloping north-east. All constructions are in accordance with the valid regulations and ČSN standards.

Residential Complex in Brno - Komín
Plášková, Karolína ; Kratochvíl, Jan (referee) ; Šmídek, Petr (advisor)
Komín is typical for its almost rural character, close to the nature, and at the same time in good transport accessibility to the city center. This area is appreciated primarily by families with children. In the west and middle part of the area are nine blocks along the communication, which connects to the Uhlířova Street. East outer boundary, where is the slope steeper, are terraced and on the „top“ stands pavilion, accessible also from the path under the forest. At most is kept the natural terrain, houses take advantage of the rice and offer a view to the opposite hillsides of Komín from the flats. Blocks are formed from common underground base and individual flats around joint yard, to which the doorway are oriented. Each unit has both its own entrance and access to garden (or terrace) on the other side. In the west, wider part are blocks bigger (four blocks with eight flats), towards to east the area narrows itself, next five blocks are therefore narrower (respectively shorter, only with six flats). All together there are nine blocks with 62 flats of different size (from 45 m2 flatlets to four room flats of 100 m2) for total around 192 residents.

Interaction of apoprotein with heme side chains: A comparison of cytochromes P450 and NO-synthases
Fastová, Dagmar ; Hudeček, Jiří (advisor) ; Šulc, Miroslav (referee)
Cytochromes P450 and NO-synthases are two classes of heme-thiolate proteins, participating in catalysis of important biochemical reactions. In this work we analysed and compared both enzyme groups from the viewpoint of torsional angles of vinyl side chains of heme in positions 2 and 4. We used the Yasara programme to analyse the available crystalographic data. Whereas the torsional angle distributions for both vinyl groups in NO-synthases are pointing to a rather "conservative" conformations of both vinyls (between -30ř and 90ř for position 2, -150ř to 120ř for position 4, resp.) with little differences for individual forms of these enzymes, the mammalian cytochromes P450 display considerable differences between different families. In accordance with previous analyses is the distribution of torsional angles of 2-vinyls in most cases narrower (-120ř to 150ř) compared to 4-vinyls, which display more conformational flexibility (with torsional angles between -30ř and 180ř). In the second part of the Thesis we analysed the interaction of cytochrome P450 with its reaction partner, cytochrome P450 reductase. On the basis of crystalographic data we tried to prove, if the spatial positions of basic aminoacids, corresponding in the primary structure of various mammalian forms the those in the isoform 2B4...

The course of execution proceedings
Jelínková, Petra ; Žák, Květoslav (advisor) ; Spirit, Michal (referee)
The thesis deals with a very actual issue of execution, from the beginning to the end of proceedings, which monitors and analyzes each individual stage. Discusses the legal rules execution, execution modes, specifies the notion of the party and also addresses every single stage of the execution proceedings separately and in detail. It also deals with the rights of debtors and the frequent problems associated with the course of the execution proceedings, and shows the real life situation from the perspective of a party, whether in the role of the debtor himself, debtor spouse or roommate. The aim is to clarify the basic rights of debtor during the execution proceedings and demarcate negotiations of executors. Furthermore, my goal is to evaluate the current legal status of execution proceedings under the Enforcement Regulations, focusing in particular on its shortcomings and difficulties and also to ascertain whether the rights of debtors are sufficient. The motivation for the treatment of this issue for me is the large media coverage of the topic, his ignorance of the citizens and also a major financial illiteracy of the nation, which each year brings more problems to individuals and families.

The occurrence of domestic and wild forms of the camels in the old world and their economic use
Burgerová, Michaela ; Gardiánová, Ivana (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
Genus camel (Camelus) includes two species, the Dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius) and Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus). Camels have a wide range of utilization. People in Arabia countries but also in India and Egypt are using camels as a milk and meat animal, or even as a transport and companion animals and riding animals too. The aim of this thesis was to find sources about camel keeping and using and his role of farm animal in different cultures and countries. And about conditions and requirements in captivity. The first part of thesis contains information about phylogeny and origin of the camel family, taxonomy of camels, short information about the history of domestication and using of camels. There are also described the two species in terms of species biology etc. plus a brief mention of camel hybrids and camel breeds. The second part focuses on the use of camels. The preffered and most common use is in the production of milk, other dairy products from camel milk, fermentation of milk. Another use is for meat performance, meat composition, describes products. His utilization i also useful for other parts such as hair wool and mane, they come mainly from bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus). The last is working utilization of camels, carrying baggage. Then hobby use. The thesis describes the conditions of keeping camels in captivity, keeping camels in Somalia, requirements for the supply of water and food, housing conditions in the Czech Republic, it is particularly widespread keeping camels in zoos. In Czech Republic they are small private camel breeders. For comparison they are conditions for keeping camels in captivity in Australia.
