Especially for opera vocal register where the vocal formants, along with a natural vibrato technique, are very important.
Moravian wine centre Brno
Vojtěšek, Jiří ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The city of Brno has always been a center of Moravian wine. The new draft of wine center responds to this reality and represents the grandeur of wineries in its full glory. Respect for nature, love for traditions and love for order/system are the main aspects of the design. The proposal is essentially open to the public, however, the necessary modesty is preserved. Conversely taciturnity of production part of buliding holds the secrets of the deep traditions of Viticulture and Enology. Designed buildings are used for production, wine storage, administration associated with the production, tasting and selling wine, conferences, accommodation and, finally, wellness and other activities. The size of the building is the result of an optimal design that does not interfere with nearby historical buildings. The emphasis is on minimizing costs both during construction and during operation. Flor plan shape resembling the letter L is oriented towards the west courtyard. This raises a unique viticultural area court with a wide staircase. The amphitheater can be used for seasonal exhibitions, pilgrimages or feast of local entertainment. The yard is connected with the street Hlinky, which paraphrases the historic entrance portals into winecellars. The northern part of the building bites into the ground and connects the original winecellars with new facilities. Small narrow windows reflects the desired taciturnity, just as it was with winecellars in South Moravia for centuries.
Do you know what a fish will do when it runs up a hill?
Elznic, Zita ; Štroblová, Kateřina (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Diploma thesis entitled Do you know what a fish will do when it runs up a hill? concerns the topic of industrial fishing. Formally, it is an installation that contains two parts. The first part is an oval object on which are attached mechanical fish, which form a moving flock. Using engines, they interact with each other and the viewer accompanied by the song. The second part includes three separate mechanical fish, which create a direct dialogue with the viewer. The installation is located in a white cube. The result is to give the impression that the fish are alive and, with the help of a human voice, get closer to the viewer. Title Do you know what a fish does when it runs up a hill? based on a child's joke. This sentence is characteristic of the topic, in that it is all nonsense. The fish do not run, do not move on land and do not even talk. An attempt at this joke to humanize fish is quickly over when you know the answer. Just clapping tells us how foreign this different world is.

Chumchal, Jan
This dissertation thesis focuses on the person and work of Jan Nepomuk Polášek (1873-1956), a distinguished regional composer and music teacher who spent a significant part of his life in Valašské Meziříčí. Throughout his life, Polášek devoted himself to creative work, which was, to a varying degree, inspired by the Moravian Wallachian folk culture. The thesis outlines the important phases of Polášek's life including his childhood and school days, first contact with music teaching, his studies at the Brno Organ School, and, last but not least, his relationship with Leoš Janáček. The Biographical part of the thesis ends with a subchapter devoted to Polášek's work in Valašské Meziříčí until his death in 1956. Polášek's body of work includes his compositions, music-related organisational activities, music teaching, publishing and folk song collecting. Development and change in the quality of singing voice in women after the age of 50 and methods leading to optimisation of their vocal expression.
Hořejší, Anna ; Marešová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Filippi, Lukáš (referee)
A singing voice is a unique means of expressing people's emotions and feelings, helping one's mental health and satisfying the need for self-realization. Due to natural aging, health factors or lifestyle, problems may occur with age that affect vocal expression itself, such as voice color change, vocal range change, problems with singing longer phrases, or breathing difficulties. This phenomenon is not studied as intensively in the professional literature as, for example, the development of a child's voice, yet it is important to address it because it is an integral and inevitable part of the development of the voice and its effects have a negative impact on the psychological well-being of the singers. This work deals with the study of this phenomenon. Based on a literature review and a survey of amateur choral singers conducted, the work verified the existence of the phenomenon and summarizes information about specific problems, their causes and impacts on vocal expression. On the basis of information from this survey, more detailed interviews were carried out with singing teachers to obtain information about their personal experiences with the phenomenon and the methods used to minimize the effects of the various causes of the change in the quality of voice during this period. The work then...

Singing and chosen musical instruments as means for speech development and correct pronunciation in kindergarden
TRNKOVÁ, Denisa
In my bachelor thesis, I deal with singing and selected musical instruments for speech development and correct pronunciation in kindergarten. I dealt with music education in kindergarten, both from the point of view of teacher preparation in kindergarten, and various issues that can accompany kindergarten children in this field. For this reason, I tried to combine speech and pronunciation with music education, because in this age category, correct speech and pronunciation are the basis for functional future communication. Furthermore, in my bachelor thesis there is a weekly plan where I try to involve music education as a means of better speech and pronunciation of individual letters. I chose letters with which children tend to have a majority problem.
