The bachelor thesis deals with a topic of corporation finance which comes under a financial management field. The work analyses a development and a level of financial position of company IMOS Brno, a.s. from 2001 to 2005. The aim of the work is to carry out financial analysis of real company and to make suggestions for improvement of company financial position. Results of the work will give information for a company management and its decision-making process.

The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and analytical. The first part presents the facts necessary for the analytical part, where it is applied the theory to the real company called Pyrotek CZ, s. r. o., also there is introduced several specific proposals for the improve the current financial situation.

This thesis evaluates the progress and the level of financial stability of the joint–stock company Pivovar Litovel for the years 2000–2005. On a basis of facts-finding about causes of the progress and the types of influence, which are projected on the reached facts, I recommend particular measures for improvement of current standing.

Dvořáček, J. Profitability of insurance companies depending on the quality of the institutional environment. Thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2023. This diploma thesis is devoted to the influence of the institutional environ-ment on the profitability of insurance companies in the entire European Union and the United States of America in the period 2009–2018. The aim of the first part of the literary research of this diploma thesis is to clarify the issue of finan-cial analysis of insurance companies and highlight important milestones in the history of the insurance industry in the world and on territory of the Czech Re-public. In the second part of the literary research, a characterization of the area of the institutional environment and institutional economics as such is carried out. Among other things, the method of classification, measuring the quality of institu-tions, and the influence of the institutional environment on the profitability of in-surance companies are described. In the last part of the literature search, the var-iables that will be used in the empirical part of this work are selected, including the justification of their choice. Empirical analysis is carried out using microeconomic specifications of insur-ance companies and indices specifying the institutional environment. Data from the period 2009–2018 are used for the analysis, these data have an annual fre-quency and relate to 13,865 insurance companies. Due to the specific behavior of insurance companies, a model using panel data with fixed effects was chosen. The results of the empirical analysis confirm the positive influence of some microeco-nomic specifications of insurance companies and the quality of the institutional environment in the area of the judiciary. Conclusions were also made in the case of the division of insurance companies into larger and smaller insurance institu-tions, and based on these findings, recommendations were made towards the management of insurance institutions. The Impact of Liquidity Risk on Bank Profitability: Some Evidence from European Banking Sector

This thesis examines the effect of liquidity risk on the profitability of European commercial banks following the full implementation of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio. The aim is to analyse and compare this effect on banks in two different regions of the European Union. Therefore, three countries were chosen to represent the Southern European region, and six were chosen to represent the Northwestern European region. Data from 34 banks were collected for 2018-2022 and split into two datasets. Panel regression methods were utilized, and robustness tests were performed to improve the reliability of the results. This study uses two different measures as proxies for liquidity risk to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship. Both proxies, the Liquidity coverage ratio, and the Financing gap ratio, were found to be insignificant determinants of profitability in both regions. We also found that the Cost-to-income ratio negatively and significantly impacts banks' profitability in both regions. At the same time, credit risk and bank size showed a significant effect on the profitability of banks in the Southern European region. This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation and the proposal for improvement of the company SAKER, spol. s r. o. in the years 2017 - 2021. First, it focuses on the theoretical part, in which the individual financial indicators of the analysis are defined, which are then practically used in the analytical part. The following analytical part focuses on the calculation of individual indicators. The last part contains an evaluation of the results and suggestions leading to the improvement of the company's financial situation.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the performance of a chosen company for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. The analysis will be made using the financial statements, whereas the first part of the thesis describes the theoretical background, and the second part is focused on the introduction of the company and the application of selected methods. According to the results of the second part, the company's overall performance will be evaluated and proposals for additional improvement will be elaborated.

In the following practical part, these methods are applied to a selected company. Finally, based on the results, the thesis proposes possible solutions for improving the financial situacion of STAR TECHNIK, s.r.o.
