History and development of czech power plant
PAVLOVSKÁ, Amalie
The main aim of the work was to understand the complex and demanding path in the development of energy and power engineering in the Czech lands from the end of the 19th century to the present. The introduction generally outlines the intention to briefly exclude the key moments that affected our energy. The next sections first describe the historical individual periods in which the power plants were built on the basis of certain conditions. Then I deal in detail with the most frequently used types of power plants in the Czech Republic with more emphasis on one of the modern technologies of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. The last larger chapter is a reflection on the possible development of energy in the future.
Modern Application for Household Heating
Šoupal, Filip ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the research of basic sources, methods, and possibilities of heating modern family houses. The thesis is divided into three parts, the first one is focused on the advantages and disadvantages of individual heating sources in the use of renewable and non-renewable energy sources. The next section thoroughly describes and compares the methods of heating considering current emission standards. At the end, there is a technical and economic comparison of the variant of the current gas boiler with the variant of the automatic coal boiler and the modern heat pump. The comparison in interpreted on a model house through performed calculations. For better accuracy, the thesis is enhanced with pictures and tables.
Budování a provoz bioplynových stanic a jeho dopady na lokální rozvoj z pohledu obyvatel obce – případová studie Velké Albrechtice
Červenková, Ivana
Diploma thesis Building and Operation of Biogas Stations and Theirs Impacts on Local Development from the Perspective of the Municipality´s Residents – A case study of Velké Albrechtice deals with the impact of the operation of biogas stations in the municipality of Velké Albrechtice on local development from a perspective of local residents. As a part of this work, a questionnaire survey and analysis of biogas stations in the municipality were carried out. The theoretical part is based on an identification of energy sources and their division. More attention is paid to renewable energy sources, respectively to secondary energy sources. It also focuses on establishing of the concept of biogas plants, theirs functioning, advantages and disadvantages. In addition, it describes problems and conflicts with the establishment of biogas plants. The practical part of the thesis presents the case locality - the municipality of Velké Albrechtice and specific biogas stations. Additionally, it evaluates opinions and attitudes of the local population towards these stations both before going to production and at present. It also includes an analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey and discussion about it. The output of the thesis is a comparison of the situation in the initial period of conflicts and current problems with the functioning of biogas stations. Moreover, it inquires whether there have been any changes both from the perspective of residents and in the operation of the stations. Reasons of these changes are evaluated at the discussion of the thesis. Next, the most significant positive and negative effects of the construction and operation of the biogas plant on the life of the community and its development are identified. Last but not least, the thesis conclusion formulates recommendations that can improve the future development of biogas plants in the Czech Republic and can prevent conflicts between biogas plant operators and the local population in other locations.
Modern Trends of Household Heating
Hornák, Pavol ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
While building a house or during it’s reconstruction is a type of heating one of the most important tasks. This thesis contains complex view of heating methods and subsequent comparison of selected methods.
Energy assessment of the building
Bidmonová, Renata ; Velísková, Eva (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the energetic evaluation of the building in Brno. It is divided into three parts. Part A focuses on basic definitions and division problematics under applicable laws, decrees, and technical standards. Part B provides a more detailed description of the individual relationships and calculation procedures used to process the parts of the building's energy performance certificate. Furthermore, proposals for measures to improve the energy performance of a building, economic and environmental assessment. Part C contains a description of the object, its construction solution and the specifications of the BS (Institute of Building Services) systems. Furthermore, the calculation of energy needs for individual BS (Institute of Building Services) systems. Designing austerity measures for a given object. The main part of the bachelor thesis is experimental measurement and its evaluation.
Effective Technologies for Heating
Čapoš, Eduard ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize knowledge about current methods of heating family houses with it’s main focus on description and comparison. Second part of this thesis compares chosen methods applied on the model house.
Monitoring and Control for Energy Management of Family House with RES and Accumulation
Kupka, Ondřej ; Baxant, Petr (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis describes possibilities of energy consumption’s control in a family house. The thesis summarizes useful sources of renewable energy which could be used in a residential building. Show popular technologies for accumulation of energy with capacity which can cover a consumption of electricity of average family for one day. The last theoretical section is survey of market with smart grid developers and compare two main companies TECO a.s. and LOXONE with turnkey solution. Practical part of work is focused on a simulation of building energy management which is going on PLC and is visualized by HMI touch panel
Renewable resources of energy and their use in the Czech Republic
Kohútová, Alena ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Antal, Jarolím (referee)
This diploma thesis is concerned with renewable resources of energy and their use in the Czech Republic. The first charter includes not only basic terms that will be used during whole the thesis but also a short description of non-renewable sources and detailed description of renewable resources of energy. The second chapter informs about the energy industry and it concentrates on the production of electricity and heat by renewable resources. Moreover, this chapter introduces install energy output of renewable resources in the Czech Republic. Third chapter is dedicated to financial aid heading towards renewable resources of energy in the Czech Republic and finally fourth chapter contains the case study, which is focused on the efficiency of investment payback of solar system installed on the roof of family house for gaining electricity. In the case study there is a comparison of several solar panels made by different producers and it is also compared the efficiency of investment payback for each solar panel. The case study is carrying out using method of collecting information followed by several calculations. The result of the diploma thesis is finding that the financial support for using renewable resources is adequate. Furthermore, the second finding is that investment to installation of the solar system to the roof of the family house is efficient in case of obtaining the financial aid.
The Impact of Renewable Energy on the EU Electricity Prices and CO2 Emissions
Čech, Marek ; Janda, Karel (advisor) ; Luňáčková, Petra (referee)
This thesis is focused on the topic of electricity pricing in the European Union connected with the increasing use of renewable energy sources in electricity production and consumption. It provides background information related to the types of energy sources along with the summary of their advantages and disadvantages regarding both the environmental impact and financial costs. Furthermore, it involves fundamental global and European electricity production statistics and a summary of the European Union approach to the support of environment-friendly energy production methods. The core of the thesis is then the econometric panel data model (data collected from 13 member states of the European Union over the period between 2010 and 2013) analysing two relationships. First, the impact of the share of renewable energy sources in the final electricity production on the European consumer electricity prices. Second, whether the replacement of fossil fuels by renewable energy causes a significant decrease in the greenhouse gases (specifically carbon dioxide) emissions. In conclusion, this paper provides suggestions for further research based on the analyses included in it. JEL Classification H20, Q20, Q40, Q47, Q48, Q54 Keywords carbon dioxide emissions, electricity price, energy sources, renewable energy...
