The influence of sport migration on Czech volleyball

Title: The influence of sport migration on Czech volleyball Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to use statistical analysis to examine the dependency between number of foreign players operating in Czech volleyball clubs and the achieved winning percentage in the basic part of the Czech extra league for the seasons 2010/11 to 2021/22. Furthermore, the dependence between the number of Czech representatives playing abroad and the performance of the men's national team at international competitions was statistically analyzed. The obtained results are then compared with the results of in-depth interviews with selected players and coaches, who help explain the findings and provide additional information from practice. Methods: The work contains a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods in the order of sequential triangulation. The first method deals with finding the tightness and type of statistical dependence through the Spearman correlation coefficient. The second method concerns conducting semi-structured in-depth interviews, according to an outline created on the basis of statistical results. Title: Multi-level quantitative evaluation of the use of foreigners in Czech football Objectives: The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate how foreign soccer players influence the Czech first league football in seasons from 1993/1994 to 2019/2020, and use multilevel modeling to analyze longitudinal data to find answers to these questions: 1. Do foreign players effect attendance in Czech first soccer league? 2. Do foreigners effect the number of Czech players in the highest soccer league? A secondary goal is to find out if multilevel analysis is a suitable method to evaluate sport migration in a primary sport in a semi-periphery country. Methods: In the master's thesis multilevel analysis with longitudinal data is used to explain dependent variables which were acquired from the Czech first football league between the seasons 1993/94 and 2019/20. Results: The results of this work show that foreign players do not have an effect on attendance because the results were statistically insignificant. The number of foreign players in the Czech league is increasing on average by 0,22 players per year in one club. Title: The influence of foreign players on the Czech football league Objectives: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to find out, how foreigners influence the Czech league football in seasons from 1993/1994 to 2017/2018 and compere the differences or similarities with the rest of the football world in regards to economical, culture, historical and geographical point of view. The next objective is to analyze flow of the players from different part of world into Czech Republic and the other way around from Czech players standpoint. Second purpose is to collect data that will be used in dissertation thesis and will be analyse by hierarchical linear model that will provide better characterization of hypothesis. Methods: In bachelor thesis the descriptive statistic is being used to analyze data from the Czech first league background from season 1993/1994 to 2017/2018, the results are presented in clubs level and competition level. Participation of foreign players on team game performance in our highest competition for women.

Title: Participation of foreign players on team game performance in our highest competition for women. Objectives: The goal of this master's thesis is to compare game performance of foreign players with Czech players from season 1998/1999 to season 2017/2018 in the highest Czech basketball competition for women. The partial goal of the thesis is to find out and observe the evolution of number of foreign players participating in above stated twenty-year period. Methods: In our thesis we used a method of collecting secondary information, which means secondary statistical data analysis. Results: By data analysis we found out, that foreign players were more effective than Czech players in all monitored seasons while comparing played time and reached index of success. The number of foreign players in the highest league was gradually growing until reaching its peak in season 2014/2015.
