Java Collections Performance Testing on Multicore Systems
Husar, Martin ; Müller, Petr (referee) ; Letko, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with Java collections performance testing on multicore systems. The aim of the work is studying of core collections contained in Java Collection Framework and studying also some other collections from package java.util.concurrent and third-party project known as Javolution. The task was to suggest appropirate performance test for these collections and create based on its results a comparison. Afterwards the basic solution is an implementation of suggested tests in Java programming language and evaluation of achieved results.
Overview and analysis of follow-up actions based on nuclear power plants stress-test results in the Czech Republic and world-wide
Ludvík, Lubomír ; bezpečnost, Ondřej Šťastný, Státní úřad pro jadernou (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of the stress tests as a reaction to Fukushima accident. Nuclear safety and control systems are generally described in different modes. Fukushima accident is analyzed and described in details. Special attention is focused on the final results and lessons learnt as the background for stress tests goals. The main part of the thesis are the stress tests at all NPP in the European Union overview. Scope of tests was focused on resistance to extreme environmental conditions, a complete loss of safety systems and actions with solution of the severe accidents, including reactor core melting and subsequent effects. The Czech NPPs are discussed in detail, the others in particular way. Finally, recommendations that will be implemented within a few years are summarized. It will strengthen the management of severe accidents beyond the design basic events.
Benchtests of LAMP (linux/apache/mysql/php) Systems
Král, Tomáš ; Plchot, Oldřich (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with benchtests of LAMP systems. Work explain principes of testing and describe basic methodics and programs for testing.
Optimization of LAMP (linux/apache/mysql/php)
Lamoš, Igor ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this work is to summarize and verify the fundamental factors affecting performance of Linux operating system, Apache web server and performance of MySQL database system and PHP. This work contains important settings for each part of webserver with corresponding description. Where possible, there are perfomance tests made on the model application and the results are reviewed. Based on the tests results, the recommended settings list was assembled. Accuracy of this recommendations was verified by applying the settings to real-world applications. In both cases, there was performance improvement.
Video on Demand Protocols Testing using Apache JMeter
Srnec, Tomáš ; Smékal, David (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with testing the application protocol HLS and RTSP in JMeter program. The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a test modules for both protocols, which will perform stress tests. The first part of thesis describes the types of stress tests, JMeter program for performance testing and video on demand services. Next chapter describes selected protokols, especially HLS and RTSP, which are used in this thesis. The practical part contains the design and implementation of test modules including test plans. Finally, the results are processed and commented.
The diverse system for heat transfer from the active zone
Lamoš, Pavel ; Suk, Ladislav (referee) ; Martinec, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on diverse system for heat transfer from the active zone of the nuclear power plant Temelín. This result is output of stress tests. These stress tests were resulted as a necessary output from the nuclear accident at Fukushima - Daiichi, in order to improve nuclear safety. The outcomes of stress tests of nuclear power plants in Czech Republic are mentioned in next section of the thesis. Part of the safety systems of nuclear power plant Temelín is described in the next section. Next section is focused on the diverse system. In the end of the thesis is final energy balance between a steam generator and an amount of coolant in case that the diverse system for heat transfer from the active zone would be used.
The most frequently used forms of physical load in PF students
HOLBOVÁ, Edita
The objective of this diploma thesis is to determine the most common forms of physical activity among students of the Faculty of Education at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the basic concepts of this problematics - such as physical activity and its division, including physiology and subsequent testing. It also includes the response and adaptation to this specific species in relation of the way of life of the current population, the possibilities of load testing and methods of determine energy expenditure. The application part was created with the help of a survey, which was focused on students of the University of South Bohemia in order to determine the most common forms used in perspective of exercise activities. The research assumptions were set in advance, which were subsequently discussed in more detail in the discussion, incl. evaluation of this investigation.
Individula movement program to influence fitness and affect body weight
Kupr, Pavel ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Strejcová, Barbora (referee)
INVIDUAL MOVEMENT PROGRAM TO INFLUENCE FITNESS AND AFFECT BODY WEIGHT Aims: The main aim of this thesis is to influence the fitness assumptions and to affect the body weight of a chosen person on the basis of an applied intervention program. Particular aims involve creating the intervention program, its fulfillment and practical verification, confirmation of defined hypotheses, stating and particulary explaining the differences between measured dates before and after the intervention and formulating relevant conclusions and recommendations.. Methods: The research method used in the thesis was an experiment. Its basis was creation and especially application of the six months lasting training program and further testing in laboratory conditions before and after the intervention. Results: The controlled person fulfilled the training program without complications and in a full scale. The created interventional program involved aerobic activities (running), bodybuilding and other activities (fitbox, cycling, in-line skating, swimming) without adjusting nutrition habits or an eventual diet. The feed-back tests showed/proved that the condition assumptions of the controlled person distincively improved in all chosen function parameters. Requested weight reduction though was not achieved. Key words:...
Importance of stress tests for top cross country skiers
Fusková, Dana ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
Topic: The importace of stress tests for cross- country skiing Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the use of stress tests for cross-country skiing. Another aim is to determine the content and basic knowledge about stress tests. Under which conditions are the stress test proceede and what are the specifics for cross-country skiing. Methods: In my thesis I analyzed the publications and compared the views of experts, who are dealing with the isme of cross- country skiing and stress tests. Results: I have found that the stress test are very important part of each summer training for the best skiers. It is because, they can controle and check how well are the skiers trained and they can figure out the functional parameters. Key words: Stress tests, cross- country skier, load, performance, laboratory condition
Optimization and stress tests
Fašungová, Diana ; Dupačová, Jitka (advisor) ; Kozmík, Václav (referee)
Title: Optimization and stress tests Author: Diana Fašungová Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jitka Dupačová, DrSc., Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Abstract: In the thesis we apply contamination technique on a portfolio optimiza- tion problem using minimization of risk measure CVaR. The problem is considered from a risk manager point of view. We stress correlation structure of data and of revenues using appropriately chosen data for this kind of problem and for ge- nerated stress scenarios. From behaviour of CVaR with regard to contamination bounds, we formulate recommendations for the risk manager optimizing his port- folio. The recommendations are interpreted for both types of stress scenarios. In the end, limitations of the model and possible ways of improvement are discussed. Keywords: contamination bounds, stress tests, portfolio optimization, risk mana- gement
