Flexible Forms of Work in a Selected Company

This diploma thesis deals with flexible and innovative forms of employment and the form of cooperation in a selected company. Flexibility is becoming more and more important, as employees are less willing to spend their entire day of work and prefer more personal life. The thesis is divided into three parts - the theoretical, the analytical and the part dealing with own solutions. The theoretical part is based on a comprehensive overview of flexible forms of employment that make it possible to reconcile work and personal life. The analytical part examines and evaluates the current state of the selected company with best practices of similar companies in the Czech Republic and abroad and in the final part proposes the optimal solution of flexible forms of employment or cooperation in the context of possible changes in the provision of legal services for selected organization.

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je navrhnout změnu motivačního systému ve Společnosti XY v konkrétním sídle v Amsterdamu v Nizozemí. Na základě teoretického základu motivačních teorií, údajů získaných kvalitativním a kvantitativním výzkumem byl navržen návrh motivačního systému s cílem zlepšit motivaci a pracovní spokojenost zaměstnanců.

The bachelor thesis deals with employee welfare programmes. The major topics are employee benefits, work-life balance and well-being. These key topics are theoretically elaborated in the literature review. The aim of work is to compare the current situation in selected companies X and Y, which was achieved by means of a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The collected data is first analysed and then compiled to reveal differences and similarities between the selected companies. Based on the results from the analytical part, alternative solutions and recommendations are presented that could lead to increased employee satisfaction, improved employee performance and organizational performance.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of technostress and its impact on employees of consulting firms in the Czech Republic. The thesis aims to present appropriate coping strategies and preventive recommendations to eliminate technostress in the workplace. The theoretical part of the thesis presents crucial findings related to the topic, which were drawn from scientific publications. The practical part of the thesis deals first with quantitative and then qualitative research. The quantitative research was carried out in the form of an online questionnaire sent to the employees of the selected organization. The qualitative research was carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews with the company employees. Based on the evaluation and analysis of the data obtained, preventive recommendations and coping strategies are subsequently proposed. It also includes the formulation of benefits for employees and HR managers and the quantification of costs associated with the implementation of the measures.

This master's thesis explores the possibilities of flexible forms of work in the field of healthcare. It includes a literature review focused on flexible forms of work, human resource management, the labour market, digitization, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on human resource management. The study conducted quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire and qualitative research through semistructured interviews with representatives of selected organizations responsible for human resource management. The findings of both inquiries were appropriately analysed, leading to the formulation of relevant recommendations.

This bachelor’s thesis deals with stress and the impact of stress on employees in the services of companies in the city of Brno. The goal of this thesis is to pro-pose methods for employees to reduce the impact of a work stress during their duty. Reducing employee stress will increase work satisfaction and motivation. The literary research of the thesis utilizes professional literature on work stress, types of stress, and consequences on personal and work life (work-life bal-ance). The analytical part is divided into two units. The first part consists of a quantitative solution focused on work stress among employees in lower levels of hospitality. The second part consists of qualitative interviews with four owners or managers of various gastronomic establishments in the city of Brno.
Analysis of attitudes towards gender roles and their harmonization in Czech society

This thesis examines gender roles and their development in Czech society. The theoretical part defines the concepts of gender and sex, examines gender roles and the combination of work and family roles, with an emphasis on the changes in attitudes towards gender roles over time. The thesis draws on previous research and analyses of attitudes towards gender roles. It combines secondary analysis of data from the ISSP international research project with analysis of qualitative interviews. The research objectives include describing the attitudes of Czech society towards gender roles, verifying the existing findings in a new context and examining the influence of the current gender structure on attitudes towards gender roles and the harmonisation of work and family responsibilities. Several key findings regarding gender roles in Czech society emerged from the analysis. Data from the ISSP secondary analysis shows that attitudes towards gender roles are not static and undergo changes over time. Some trends in the view of gender roles in the family and at work have been identified that indicate a shift away from traditional models. Discursive analysis of political communication in the discussion of the amendment to Act No. 329/2021 on the provision of childcare in the 2017-2021 electoral period

Children's groups are one of the effective family policy tools for reconciling family and working life. At the same time, within the current system of pre-school care in the Czech Republic, they supplement the insufficient capacity of kindergartens. In 2014, Act No. 247/2014 Coll. on children's groups was approved, which basically defined the conditions and standards in which children's groups operate. Tools for reconciling family and working life, which include children's groups, came to the fore following the adoption of the European Directive 2019/1158 on work-life balance. Children's groups were funded by the European Operational Programme Employment, but this could only be drawn on until 2022. Therefore, in 2021, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic discussed the need to reconsider the funding of children's groups and, at the same time, to revise the conditions for running children's groups. The thesis aims to investigate the communication strategies of political actors on the topic of children's groups using the method of discursive analysis, at the same time comparing the communication of children's groups with the way of communication of other topics from the remit of social affairs in the election programmes of the then parliamentary parties in the 2017 and 2021...
The comparison of Czech and German family policy enabling the harmonization of work and family life

The subject of this thesis is the comparison of family policy in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany in terms of measures adjustment enabling the reconciliation of work and care about the preschool children. The issue of work-life balance is further presented in the context of traditional sociological concepts and welfare state model theories, followed by a description of trends and current order of women's employment on the labor market of both countries and accompanied by the description of demographic trends. Thesis is specifically focused on the description of the governmental family policy of both countries in the perspective of parental leave entitlement settings, facilities of children day care facilities like nursery schools and creche, and formal involvement of fathers in the childcare. The methodological part of thesis is focused on the description of the family policy measures of the respective country. Comparison of both countries in terms of enabling the reconciliation of work and childcare is made on the basis of analyse and comparison of both the secondary quantitative data and the qualitative data drawn from the discussions placed on the free available web sites.
