X-ray Defectoscopy
Velím, Michael ; Ondřej, Šimeček (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a defect detection with X-rays in the manufacturing procedure in the electrotechnical field. The work summarises the knowledge about technical possibilities of an X-ray device Cougar of YXlon company. Part of the work is focusing on scanning in 2D, 3D visualization and automatic analysis. The thesis describes inspection methods of a connector connection, the quality of a soldered joint and an encapsulated product.
Lead-Free Voids Cause Mechanisms and Influence on Reliability
Šimon, Vojtěch ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze reliability of lead-free solder join, in particular the voids generated during the soldering process. The main target of the theoretical part of the work is to isolate basic mechanisms of formation of the voids and optimize the soldering process. The practical part of the paper is based on monitoring the count and size of the voids in a solder join. An X-Ray tomograph has been chosen as a non-destructive method of detection. The statistical part of this work compares conventional soldering of the entire board with local soldering by IR radiation.
Reliability of LED Panels Solder Joints
Šimon, Vojtěch ; Špinka, Jiří (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis is focused on the effect of heating factor on quality of solder joints. In theoretical part is solved reflow soldering technology, problematice of solder paste choice or criteria of soldering profile setting. The practical part is dedicated to demonstrating the impact of heating factor on solder joint quality. There are used X-Ray analysis, microsections and electron microscopy. In the final part of this thesis are summarized knowledge from theoretical part and experimental obtained results to defend of next steps in diploma thesis.
The Multiplicity of Being: The Ontology of Alain Badiou
Pivoda, Tomáš ; Petříček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kouba, Petr (referee) ; Pechar, Jiří (referee)
Tomáš Pivoda, The Multiplicity of Being: The Ontology of Alain Badiou PhD thesis Abstract The thesis introduces for the first time in the Czech philosophical context the ontology of the French philosopher Alain Badiou, as he set it out in his fundamental work Being and Event (L'être et l'événement, 1988). It first presents the starting point of Badiou's philosophy as well as the reasons of his identification of ontology with the set theory, and it points out Badiou's importance for contemporary philosophy, especially for the so called speculative realism around Quentin Meillassoux. The main axis of the exposition is then built around Badiou's four fundamental "Ideas": the multiplicity, the event, the truths and the subject, in connection with which it is shown how Badiou constructs his conceptual apparatus out of individual axioms of the set theory, whereby he follows the basic formal definition of multiplicity based on the operator . In connection with∈ the first Idea of multiplicity, the thesis exposes - with references to Martin Heidegger and Plato - Badiou's conceptual transposition of the couple one/multiple on the couple existence/being and defines the fundamental concepts of his ontology - the situation, the presentation, the representation and the void, with the help of which Badiou interprets...
The Ontology of the Void

Analysis of Defects on PCB Using X-RAY, 3D SW CERA and Micro-Sections
Vala, Martin
This paper deals with detecting of defects on BGA (Ball Grid Array) components using X-ray. Defects are formed throw reflow process of BGA components during assembly, but also later due to mechanical and thermal stress. Therefore, there is an overview of defects and methods of diagnosis of BGA packages eg.: modern X-ray defect detection.
