Utilizing an interactive whiteboard to learn verbs in German lesson

The aim of this master's thesis, "Utilizing an interactive whiteboard to learn verbs in German lesson" is presented in two parts. The theoretical part is devoted to aspects which influence teaching, and therefore the preparation of interactive materials. The practical part is focused on the proposal of activities used on the interactive whiteboard. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. The first chapter allows us to view the educative process from a psychological perspective, attempting to clarify the importance of relevant styles and strategies used effectively while learning a foreign language. The concern of chapter two is an interactive board and multimedia. Principles which should be followed by educators who are creating teaching materials are also introduced. Furthermore, there are presented internet portals which can be used in German lessons. The last chapter of the theoretical part is dedicated to grammar and the grammatical category - verbs. The practical part is predominantly based on creating your own teaching materials, which are designed to practise German verbs. The activities are split up into two sections (for elementary school and high school). An evaluation of the teaching materials results from survey. They were verified in the educational practice.
Verbs in Czech textbooks for the Deaf

The textbooks for Czech deaf people and textbooks for hearing foreigners is the subject of this thesis. The thesis focuses on the interpretation of verbs in them. The whole issue is framed within the broader framework of methods and procedures used in the education of deaf students. The first part deals with the problems of teaching Czech deaf people from the Czech Republic, especially teaching Czech as a second / foreign language. Attention is paid to methods of teaching foreign languages. The thesis is devoted to verbs in Czech language and Czech sign language, their functional and structural differences. The second part is a compilation of available textbooks of Czech language for deaf students, and textbooks of Czech language for hearing foreigners. It is directed mainly to the interpretation of verbs. The third part offers interviews with teachers from primary schools for the hearing impaired. The interviews are focused on their approach to teaching Czech in general, used textbooks, and the difficulties associated with teaching verbs. The conclusion of the thesis provides a summary of the general features of textbooks of Czech language for the deaf and textbooks of Czech language for hearing foreigners, especially their conception of the interpretation of verbs. Semantic characteristics of verbs in written discourse of children of younger school age

The bachelor papers have a goal to examine the area of semantic characteristics of verbs that are used by younger school-age children in their written expressions. The individual written works of the children from the fifth class of elementary school are a base for the research. The quantitative methods of research are used due to the gaining of relevant facts for the analysis of the collected material. Any quantification of the cognitive development cannot be held as generally true. The bachelor papers enrol certain tendencies of the children's speech development, which can become an impulsion for further scientific research. An asset of the papers is also an appendix with the primary younger school-age children's texts. The bachelor papers are divided into a theoretical and an empiric part. The theoretical part describes the basic starting points of psycholinguistics and introduces different attitudes to the language acquisition by a child. Further, it contains a chapter characterizing a period of younger school age and chapters devoting the issue of verbs, their semantics and a classification in light of semantic features. Transgressives in opinion journalism in Lidové noviny

This bachelor thesis aims at demonstrating, in the example of Lidové noviny opinion journalism, the decline of the transgressives (especially verbal) in the past 120 years and at together with it should confirm that even in the current opinion journalism of Lidové noviny, transgressives are found. The work contains an outline of the developmental dynamics of transgressives in opinion journalism in Lidové noviny as well as an analysis of some used transgressives. Part of the thesis is also a voluminous chapter describing theoretically the problems of transgressives, from which the quantitative findings in the practical part of the thesis are based, as well as the chapter focused on opinion journalism and its genres.

Linguistic analysis of German Pericopes in a manuscript of the beginning of 15th century from České Budějovice

The present thesis analyzes the special group of verbs occurring in the German liturgical text that was written down in the Dominican monastery in České Budějovice. The first part provides information on the Dominican monastery in České Budějovice and the manuscript itself. It is followed by the editorial process of the manuscript. The main part focuses on the analysis of these groups of verbs: Präteritopräsentien, Wurzelverben, kontrahierte Verben and a verb wollen and werden. Attention is also paid to the dialect features of the text since the manuscript was affected by the Bavarian dialect as demonstrated and proved by the analysis of the verb forms.
