User Interface of FIT Information System

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and create a user interface (UI) of information system of Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology which is based on analysis and user testing of current UI. The theoretical part describes UI creation, user friendly design, basic methods of user experience design and about user testing UI. Bachelor thesis focuses on implementation of a web UI or web frontend. The output of this thesis is user research, follow-up to design and implementation of new information system FIT interface based on user testing of the current information system.

Revision of the electronic diabetic file at Clinic of Diabetology IKEM

Electronic diabetic record (EDR) is an electronic medical record used in Diabetology Clinics, Instittute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM), Prague. EDR is complex record of patient statistical and clinical data. It´s complexity and large time demands on filling in all items make EDR not user friendly. Thus, benefits of electronic medical record are not fully utilized. The paper describes solution that leads to simpler user interface as component of outpatient message allowing easy entering data. The new interface has been designed and created in the form of program module. There are described other procedures to implement module into IKEM information system Zlatokop. At the end, there are discussed the advantages and shortcomings of this revised vision and current status of project of EDR. The first part of the work is about the basic concepts and problems regarding EDR. It is about e-health, specially about the electronic health record, databases, specially about Caché, which is used in Zlatokop, about diabetes mellitus and about user experience.

Cílem této práce je navrhnout a vyvinout prototyp webové aplikace, která bude nabízet stomatologům praktické prostředí pro evidenci stomatologické dokumentace se speciálním zaměřením na interaktivní rozhraní zubního kříže. Tento prototyp je založen na studiu user experience, technologií pro tvorbu moderních webových aplikací, základů stomatologie, analýze existujících řešení a na informacích získaných konzultací s profesionálním stomatologem. Můj návrh je zaměřen na řešení často prováděných úkonů minimu krocích, zobrazování relevantních informací. Návrh byl inspirován uživatelskými rozhraními editorových aplikací. Prototyp je vyvinut za použití moderních webových technologií. Prototyp byl otestován profesionálním stomatologem, výsledky testů zaznamenány a na jejich základě byl navržen směr dalšího vývoje této aplikace.

Process of User Experience Improvement of Internet Portal

The goal of my thesis was to improve user experience of web portal for sharing files among students. After studying the field of user experience, I made user research using methods like interview, open card sorting and analysis of user behavior on the portal. Then I have designed a solution using modern techniques for user interface design. I gradually implemen- ted the solution while testing it's usability. The final evaluated user experience measured by standard methodology proved, that I reached the set goal. The users are no longer getting lost on the webpage and they work more effectively.

Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the information system which serves as electronic document service and also as agenda information system for a public authority. Moreover it offers suggestions how to improve its effectiveness. Part of the thesis offers also more detailed look at current state of the public authority which rises from used analytical methods. Analysis of the current state of the institution and its information system is processed according to the theoretical outcomes. In the conclusion of the thesis there are suggestions offered that aim to improve imperfections of the information system and so to enhance its effectiveness.
