The Grammar School in Rumburg and its historical development 1906-1989

The bachelor thesis is focused on the Grammar School in Rumburk, its history and education provided there. The town of Rumburk is located in north Bohemia on the border with Saxony. Until 1945 with the population of about 10.000 Rumburk was predominantly a German town. After the end of World War II. majority of German residents were expelled and the town was settled by Czechs from inland. Within few years the town reached the same population as before. The grammar school founded there in 1906 shared the turbulent events with its town including two occupations by foreign armies. During 100 years existence the grammar school has changed its official name fifteen times. With every change of its name came institutional reforms and changes of syllabi as well. And since the Grammar School in Rumburk had to respect regulations of five state departments, the main part of the thesis is preceded by a chapter on grammar schools in Bohemia from their beginnings until 1918.
Půdní biologie v učebních osnovách biologie pro střední školy

This study is aimed on teaching of soil biology at secondary schools. Available biology textbooks are assessed and their content on soil biology is evaluated. Part of the thesis constitutes of a survey among teachers of biology. It is focused on contemporary teaching approaches, availability of materials and the requirements of teachers to teach soil biology at individual schools. In conclusion, I propose an educational project focusing on the importance of soil.
The drafting of teaching volleyball in high school

The diploma thesis deals with issues of teaching volleyball in high schools. It shows one of many possible methods how to include volleyball into the curriculum and into lessons of PE to the graduate teachers. This work strive for more systematic and concrete work of PE teachers in teaching volleyball, which should high school graduates encourage to an increase the requierements on the volleyball skills. In the theoretical part the reader is informed about volleyball as one of the sports games, with all gaming activities of the individual that brings volleyball and that students should be controlled using basic techniques at least. Main for the implementation of the volleyball match are basic options of hits, which are also described here. Some chapters also refer to the expected motion level of basic school and high school graduates. There is also mention of motion abilities. The end of theoretical part is about physical education classified to the educational programs. There is no specific request to involve volleyball in these educational programs. The empirical part is about the proposal of high schools education of volleyball. Volleyball teaching is divided into two grades, 10 lessons each. Development of methods, goals and contents of teching religious education since 1990, the probe into vicarage of Sušice Nepomuk.

The thesis follows up development of methods, goals and contents of teaching religious education since 1990. Thesis is divided into 5 chapters. In the first chapter, there is a list of methods, goals and contents from common didactics' point of view. In the second chapter, are methods, goals and contents addressed from religious education's point of view and also the difference between catechesis and religious education. In the third chapter are methods, goals and contents described from point of view of church and school documents. We can also find there goals and contents of each edition of outlines. In the fourth chapter is then investigation of development of methods, goals and contents and didactical levels of selected teachers in Sušicko- nepomucký vicarage. In the fifth chapter is the final summary of the investigation.
USING DRAMA EDUCATION IN CROSS CURRICULAR OBJECTIVES AT PRACTICAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

This thesis discusses the use of drama in cross-curricular objectives at practical elementary schools. Given the specifics of the target group of pupils the work is devoted to defining particular groups of handicaped children, their health disabilities, manifestations and possibilities.The area of special education is, in many respects, different from mainstream primary schools, which significantly affects education possibilities of these children.Via more detailed view on the subject of the students with disabilities I strive to provide opportunities for understanding the drama in special education.The work is divided into five chapters. The aim of this work is to show that there is also possible to use methods of drama to educate students in special education. This thesis is based on my professional experience as a special education teacher and my experience of using drama with disabled children. Three projects are components of this work, they use drama as a tool to understand the problem.The projects are also linked with Art and Craft, which are significantly represented at practical elementary school.
Transformations textbooks civic education at the turn of the 80th and 90th 20 century

This thesis deals with the analysis of curricula, plans, civic education textbooks and civic education in the late eighties and nineties of the 20th century. The aim of this work is to analyze the today's approach to teaching civic education in the establishment of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and change of it before and after the revolution of 1989 by establishing a democratic regime. The work involves the analysis of textbooks and curricula from this period. The work is divided into two parts which are loosely linked. In the theoretical part of the thesis, there is the general definition of school textbooks, which are recorded features, concepts, structures, meanings, status, research and research methods according to various educational authors who dealt with analysis of school textbooks. This section is of narrower extent complemented by a variety of observations and comments of author. The practical part of the thesis is based on a detailed analysis of textbooks and curriculum of civic education that is embedded in the space of two historical periods of our country, at the turn of ending socialism and emerging democracy. The work focuses on the individual thematic subject which is then incorporated into the teaching curriculum of the elementary school years by the author. Here examines the appropriateness, timing and similarity teaching materials during the period of socialism with a democratic system of our state. Research component consists of a questionnaire survey work, where the former teachers are asked and current civic education. There are recorded difficulties of teachers and complicated transformation of the subject of the socialist epoch to the present democracy, referred to herein examines the issue of textbooks and curricula. In the practical part, the descriptive part analyzes composition of textbooks, curriculum demands for student motivation and graphic form of textbooks, educational goals and the interpretation of textbook materials for pupils.
Use of didactic and audiovisual techniques in education

ANNOTATION This thesis deals with analysis of teaching methods and it focuses on classification of teaching methods, their characteristics and their adoption with support of audio-visual and didactic technology. In the work I state different kinds of audio-visual and didactic technology and possibilities of their use at schools. I assess the audio-visual and didactic technology in terms of aims and competences for effective teaching. I also present elaboration of school educational programme for mathematics and computer technology and a few lesson plans for mathematics and physics using didactic and computer technology. Further the thesis concentrates on the possibility of use of an interactive whiteboard during teaching process and compares lessons where the interactive whiteboard is used with lessons without it. I also quote advantages and disadvantages of old and new mathematics textbooks for Grade 6 of secondary school. For a visual idea some chapters are supplemented with pictures.
