Significance and Design of The Logo

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the logo as an important element in the presentation of the company, organization, product, and, in some cases, also social and cultural events or people. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains the importance of the logo itself and describes its role in visual presentation. The differences between logos are discussed according to logos' purpose and design. Attention is paid both to logos in the commercial sector and of municipalities and state institutions, where visual presentation has made significant progress in recent years. The practical part is devoted to the creation of the logo itself and describes the methodology from the client's assignment of the project to the release of the style guide. It describes all important steps in the creation of a logo and discusses different options and variations that may occur during the process. The purpose of this thesis is to establish a clear overview of the significance of the logo as a major element in the visual presentation of a company or an organization, followed by guide to the entire process of creating a logo. Both parts together should provide the reader with a sufficient basis for understanding this issue.
Forgery and Authenticity

My bachelor thesis analyses the problem of forgery. The reference text for my work was chapter "Art and Authenticity" from the book Languages of Art: An general Approach to a Theory of Symbols by Nelson Goodman. I focus on forgery especially in relation to the literary text and image, pilot genres for forgery analysis. Possibility of forgery of other artistic genres I describe only marginally. The key question of my thesis: Does perfect forgery exist? Or it is impossible to make the forgery perfect?
Presentation of goods using different graphic techniques and procedures

The work focuses on the comparison of different graphic techniques and procedures for the presentation of the company and its products. It describes the importance of visual communications company with others, discusses the different media and also discusses the important principles in creating advertising and overall visual communications company. The aim is to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of different graphic techniques and procedures, the possibility of their use. A part of the recommendations is, how and what kind of graphics technique or procedure should be used to represent the company and its products.
Web typography of small businesses in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the current state of web page typography of small businesses in the Czech Republic. The primal specification of actual possibilities and the best web typography practice, which are the basis for the analysed typographical rules, is followed by the analysis itself using appropriate methodology. By comparing the gained results and best practice the fields that may be improved from the typographical point of view are determined.
Utilisation of typography in enterprise management.

This thesis is analysing some problems of visual communication and interpretation of visual information. It's focus on psychological, typographycal and colour aspects of document design. This thesis also includes some facts about an interpretation of information by the spectator. Introduction of this thesis points to the problems of corporate identity (and its components) and its conections with psychology and design. Then chapters with a bacic knowledge of typography, psychology, composititon design and color therory are defined. These chapters bring theoretical principles, applicable in corporate design. The last chapter defines the redesign of the corporate visual style and through some examples of the practice shows its conections with the theoretical knowledge described in this thesis.
Analysis of the Effectiveness of the Publishing Activity of the Home Office in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the efficient handling public resources. It defines what effectiveness is and outlines the methods by means of which the effectiveness can be evaluated. With regard to the public sector it also deals with the way of monitoring public expenditure activities. The thesis furthermore addresses the performance of allowance organizations with the main emphasis on their economy. The last part is processed in a form of a case study, whose the most important part is formed by the analysis of the effectiveness of the publishing activity of the Home Office in the Czech Republic, which establishes for this activity its own allowance organization.
Corporate Design and its application on the real company

The subject of this diploma thesis is Corporate Design (company style), integrated visual style, one of the basic elements of Corporate Identity and its application on the real company. The goal of the theoretical part is to explain the meaning and importance of Corporate Design, one of the main means of visual communication. Within this context, thesis is elucidating connections and relationships between different concepts of integrated visual style. Thesis is describing basic constants and evolved parts of Corporate Design and clarifying principles of its creation and reasons leading to change. The practical part is concentrating on the creation of new company style for real company. The goal here is to offer integrated visual style for company ASV Nachod, Ltd. and to create graphical manual, which contains definitions of different company style's applications. The main benefit of the thesis is comprehensive view on integrated visual style, explanation of Corporate Design importance with his constituents and contexts of Corporate Identity. Other benefit lies in the proposal of new integrated visual style for company ASV Nachod, Ltd. and creation of graphical manual. Principles and processes stated are very important not only for small and middle range businesses interested in integrated visual presentation.
Corporate identity and its application

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a logo for the Board Game Club of the University of Economics. The methods used to accomplish the goal include an investigating on how to create a successful and working logo and a study of factors which affects it such as the role of symbolism, typography and colors. The work does not just summarize facts about a corporate identity and logo, but is also valuable in creating something that is practical and usable. The first five chapters are theoretical and the last one is practical in which I am applying the gained knowledge on our Board Game Club.

Kapitoly pokrývají nejdůležitější témata typografie a jejího základního elementu -písma, součástí je také porovnání možností editace textu různými počítačovými programy.
