Time, space and matter: Process-based art

The Diploma thesis deals with process art research. Theoretical part is primary focused on theory of Process art, its predecessors, origins and development; resulting in contemporary art, effect of Gallery space and Art market, and controversial positions of Process art. Further it deals with theory of the creation process, artwork's existence and by the process of artifact reception. Pedagogical part is focused on the theoretic base of process in arts education, Proposal and documentation of pedagogic project, based on theoretical work. Practical part - Own project - deals with practical resulting of theoretical part into own project and its defense.
Media image of czech fine art in czech media in 1948-53

The thesis aims to describe the media image of the czech fine art during 1948-1953 in the cultural periodicals "Kulturní politika", "Tvorba", "Var" and "Lidové noviny". It focuses on two topics that occurred most frequently in these periodicals;That is the definition of art and socialist realism and shaping artists and society. Social realism is characterized not only by description, but also by inspiration sources like Czech fine art of 19th century and the tendency to oppose competitive or similar artistic styles and trends like formalism, naturalism, academicism and kitsch. Shaping the artists and society is understood in terms of upringing, education and enlightenment. In connection with these two areas this thesis focuses on history, cultural policy of the Communist Party, the organizational structure of artistic production, distribution of art, shaping artists, penetration of art into public and private space, socialist realism and an attitude of visual artists to new conditions of artistic production. Different features were also included to capture the uniqueness of each periodical. The starting point of the thesis is a historical and qualitative analysis.
"Do It Yourself" movement as a phenomenon in the context of the socio-culture

The present diploma thesis maps the concepts, characteristic features and cultural-social contexts of functions of the "Do It Yourself" phenomenon. It addresses various interpretations of the phenomenon, it creates general features, and it attempts to define its position based on the experience gained from the research carried out and from the literature studied. It primarily captures the action of the phenomenon during the communist and post-communist era in the Czechoslovak and later the Czech Republic, as well as the influence of various socio-political systems on its appearance. Didactic elaboration of the topic focuses on the application of the DIY principles in teaching activity and it presents an "In & Out" artwork line integrating these ideas into the current conditions of teaching art education. The artwork part represents starting points, the process and the realization of the author's binding of the diploma thesis, which is again based on the application of DIY ideas.
Reviews of czechoslovak TV series in the weekly Tvorba during the 1970's

This diploma thesis primarily deals with the reviews of Czechoslovak television series in the weekly print Tvorba, central press organ of Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, in the normalisation period of 70's and 80's. In the second place, it also deals with other relevant articles that are somehow related to the television series issues in general. Additionally, it pays attention to formal aspects of the reviews studied in the thesis (language specifics, form, space and development of the television reviews section etc.) The thesis is divided into two main parts: theoretical and analytical. The theoretical part brings information about the cultural-political weekly print Tvorba, it outlines social and historical context of the period traditionally called normalisation and last but not least gives theoretical background about the phenomenon of Czechoslovak television series. The analytical part works directly with the reviews found and also other relevant articles from Tvorba. On the basis of these particular reviews and articles, the main aim is to describe ideas and opinions of cultural editors and reviewers on the form, art rendering and role of television series as a specific genre of television production and, at the same time, to bring an overview of what aspects were on the reviewed series...
Creation as one of human needs

This thesis deals with the relationship between creation, human needs (focusing on the need for self-actualization) and creativity. The theoretical part describes the general and artistic creation and then creation is further divided into professional and amateur. The thesis briefly discusses the human needs and later focuses on the theory of basic human needs according to Maslow. Emphasis is put on the need for self-actualization. The last part of the theoretical section is devoted to creativity, the current perception of this phenomenon, and primarily focuses on the connection between creativity and self-actualization, as defined by Maslow. The empirical section describes the design of research that explores the correlation between self-actualization and creation, while comparing self-actualization and creativity among three groups: (1) people that create as a profession, (2) people that create as a hobby and (3) people that do not create. Making movies in elementary school

The theme of this work is the creation of films in elementary school and its place in the teaching process. I have examined the conditions under which this activity benefits both in terms of the development of key competencies and primary prevention. I assessed the availability of information on this topic. I performed in this respect RVP analysis, exploration of topics that handle some basic school and festival platforms, with more room for Antifetfest. Based on my own experience and observation, interviews and questionnaires, I developed a practical point shooting class project. I stated that making films as a class project is beneficial both in terms of prevention of risk behaviors and the development of a number of key competencies. Role of art education teacher focusing the presentation of school creative production

Researched topic of the thesis is The role of art teacher education focused on the presentation of art works. Art teacher is given in context to the curator of the exhibition, the curatorial activities. Curator of the exhibition is a relatively new professional level, very important especially for contemporary art. The theoretical part of the work confronts profession of educator and curator of the exhibition. It searchs for a new fields of two environment meanings that combines art. Interest is whether and how the profession of the teacher and curator of visual encounter is met. I search and describe this during studies. Subsequent interest is the presentation of pupils' work, and whether it is an important part of the activity of fine art teacher, looking for steps it goes through. As well as what the teacher's attitude towards exhibitions and other forms of presentation of pupils' work. Educated high school students are familiar with the possibilities and circumstances presenting their own works of art, learn about the background of the exhibition project. On the basis of the theory and history of art, conceptual art are the art works created and then are applied for the exhibition.
