Single-family house
Ondříšková, Jana ; Leischnerová, Jana (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
This work is devoted to the processing of project documentation for a family house. It includes documentation for building permits and technical equipment of the building. The building is designed on a plot with sloping terrain. The entrance to the building is situated on the southeast side. The designed house has an above-ground floor and a residential attic. The roof of the building is gable. The structural system of the house is made of ceramic bricks fittings with a ceramic-concrete ceiling system. The roof is designed in wood with inter-rafter insulation. The technical equipment of the building deals with the concept of electrical installations, heating with a heat pump, sanitary instalations with connection to drinking water and sewage disposal. FVE panels on the roof of the building are designed as a renewable energy source.
Single-family house
Grančay, Martin ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a two-storey detached energy efficient house for family with four members. First part of the thesis is focused on structural and architectural design of the house. The design will also include an assessment in terms of thermal engineering, acoustics, daylighting and sun glare and fire safety. The loadbearing structure of the house is a timber frame from I-joists which provides reduction of thermal bridges in wall structure. The main structure is supported by strip foundations made from reinforced concrete. On the first floor there is a main living area consisting of kitchen, dining area and living room with southwest views to the garden. On the first floor there are also rooms such as the office, utility room, toilet and entrance hall with windows facing to northeast direction. Second floor is designed to be the private zone of the house. On the second floor there is a master bedroom with en-suite, two children bedrooms, closet, bathroom and separate toilet. Second part of the thesis is focused on building services. The house is heated and cooled by an air-to-water heat pump system. The heating and cooling is provided by a radiant floor system. The heat pump's indoor unit has an integrated 190-liter hot water cylinder. The building also uses mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery with capacity of 350 m/h. Rainwater will be collected in a 6 m storage tank on the property with safety overflow to infiltration system. Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of the house to generate electricity in a hybrid system with a capacity of 5,74 kWp.
Family house

The aim for this bachelor work is design of modern passive detached house. Vision for this design is proving that even luxury villas can be in passive standard. It is three storey house with flat roof part of which it’s walkable and part green roof. The basement includes game room and utility room. In first floor we have main lobby, lavatory, living room with dining room, kitchen, pantry, hall, laundry room, bathroom, two kid’s rooms, main bedroom, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. On second floor there’s only studio and lavatory. Load bearing elements are walls from sand-lime bricks, floor and roof slabs from prestressed concrete panels. This building is based on foundation strips from reinforced concrete. eliminary designs of building services are mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, in which design is focused on amount of circulated air with added scheme of pipe installations, sanitary installations, which consist of scheme of plumbing and sanitary sewer pipes. Design of building services also consisted of simple design of main circuit break and photovoltaic panels. In more detailed design is design of rain water reuse with rain water tanks for accumulation and infiltration. Main design of building services is heating. It’s designed underfloor heating and radiators which will be powered by heat pump air-water. Domestic hot water is heated with heat pump and electric immersion heater as auxiliary source. All components such as hot water cylinder and expansion tank are placed in utility room in basement. This design meets criteria for grade A in energy performance certificate.
Efficiency analysis of the heat source with heat pumps
Miklas, Václav ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the gross COP analysis of the heat source with heat pumps. In the first part, summary of the heat pump research including progressive technologies is presented. The main part is the case study dealing with the efficiency analysis of the heating system based on air source heat pumps. That includes theoretical formulation of the conditions which affects gross COP of the heat pumps. The main contribution is the evaluation of measured data. The outcome of evaluation is the average COP in the selected period. The outcome also includes dependence of the COP on different conditions and comparison of the evaluated COP and the theoretical one. Consequently, some methods for optimal operating of the heat source are recommended.
Energy assessment
Farkhutdinova, Iuliia ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
My thesis focuses on the preparation of an energy assessment. The studied object is a residential building located in Prague. In the theoretical part I focus on a detailed analysis of the concept of central heat supply and its importance in today's energy environment. I look in more detail at the key benefits of this system and its role in the current energy context. The computational part contains an energy assessment that evaluates the building in two variants with different heat sources: central heat supply versus air-to-water heat pump, together with the proposed measures. Both variants are evaluated in terms of energy efficiency, economics and ecology. In the experimental part, I deal with thermographic measurements of the investigated residential building and the subsequent evaluation of the measured data.
Heating of an apartment building using renewable energy sources
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to design a new kindergarten building. The thesis has three parts. The first part presents the structural and architectural designs of the building. It is a single-storey building with a semi-intensive flat green roof. The building has slab foundations with a foam glass base layer. The vertical load-bearing structures are cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls. The envelope walls have a ventilated façade with mineral wool insulation and the external cladding of the building is made of HPL boards. The horizontal loadbearing structure is designed from a reinforced cast-in place concrete slab. The kindergarten is divided into two classrooms with accompanying facilities for fifteen children each. The second part includes the design of building services such as lighting, heating and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The aim of this part is to design a building with low energy consumption and maximum use of renewable resources. The building uses an air-to-water heat pump for heating and heat distribution is provided by underfloor heating. Fresh air is provided by mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The third part deals with design of the kindergarten garden. It analyses the different play elements used, their spatial, material and legislative requirements. The analysed elements are implemented into the technical drawing of the garden. The thesis is elaborated in ArchiCAD 2025, DEKSOFT and other software.
Design of a space heating system with an air-water heat pump and bivalent heat source
Skočík, Lukáš ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Katolický, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis is engaged in complete reconstruction of a heat system of a family house with higher heat loss, i.e. heat source, piping and radiators. As a heat source is chosen air-water heat pump. Heat system is designed with panel radiators with regard to minimum building interventions. A required power for hot water heating is calculated and selected a heat pump from suitable power range in combination with storage tank with hot water tank. The bivalent point is determined, as backup source are heating elements installed in storage tank. Drawings and circuit diagrams with safety elements are attached. In the end is calculation of estimated return.
