Bullying in the lower grades of Elementary school

The thesis deals with the issue of bullying at the primary level of the elementary schools from the point of view of the experienced teachers that have encountered this kind of situations in their practice. The thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part brings latest news from the foreign and local bibliography. It describes causes, forms, participants of bullying, and there is a comparison of different kinds of solutions. Last but not least it proposes a wide range of preventive methods. The practical part is based on case studies of the interventions of bullying in the primary school which are realized through semi-structured interviews with five teachers from different countries with different backgrounds who dealt with bullying in their practise. The results present different techniques which involved people in the intervention use to efectively solve the cases and on the other hand what slows the proces of healing down and how to overcome these obstacles. Which steps were done in the classroom and which methods of prevention teachers use. This paper includes a discussion about the difference of dealing with bullying in Czech and foreign schools. Communication with parents from a perspective of a beginning teacher

The object of my dissertation is to introduce the issue of communication between the parent and the inexperienced teacher. The theoretical part is based on the research literature, and it is devoted to various forms of communication as well as to effective communication with parents. The practical part focuses on the experiences new teacher gain while having class meetings, tripartite meetings, on his dealing with conflicts, and on his everyday communication with parents. For the purposes of this analysis, it is essential to obtain information from other inexperienced teachers. The factors which influence the satisfaction of teacher's profession

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na učitelskou profesi s cílem zjištění pozitivních i negativních faktorů ovlivňujících práci učitele. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na základní definici učitelské profese, vymezení pojmů souvisejících s učitelskou profesí a také na postavení učitele a jeho roli ve společnosti. Dále se tato část zaměřuje na kritéria spokojenosti všeobecně a v neposlední řadě na jednotlivé faktory, které působí na spokojenost učitele v jeho zaměstnání. Cílem praktické části je zjistit které faktory nejčastěji ovlivňují spokojenost a nespokojenost učitelů u vybraného vzorku učitelů pražské základní školy. Šetření bylo prováděno formou dotazníku. Dále se praktická část zaměřuje i na zjištění, kolik učitelů by si opět zvolilo svoji profesi. Zahrnuje vyhodnocení dotazníku, ve kterém hledám faktory ovlivňující spokojenost učitelům se svým povoláním, zejména pak faktory společné. Vyhodnocením dotazníku jsem zjistila, že nejvíce stresujícím faktorem je pro učitele spolupráce s rodiči a nekázeň žáků. Většina učitelů si stěžuje také na přebujelou administrativu a nedostatek úcty k jejich náročnému povolání, na nedostatek celkového ocenění rodiči i společností, (nejednalo se pouze o nízké mzdy, ty byly zmiňovány jen výjimečně)....
