Prevention of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children as a Pedagogical Problem

The thesis analyses subject matter of commercial sexual exploitation of children and its prevention in school and families. Theoretical part focuses on explanation of terms. It also covers description of presence of the subject in the Czech Republic, legislation and its relationship to the prevention in school and family. Prevention programs are introduced in this thesis as well. The prevention subject has been surveyed through a questionnaire and outcomes were confronted with a hypothesis. At the end of the thesis is pronounced solution that might help pedagogues with subject prevention. Child Sexual Abuse Syndrome

Thesis CSA syndrome in children, examines current issues of sexual abuse and its consequences. The theoretical section deals with the history of sexual abuse, contemporary view on this issue and the legal treatment of offenders and victims. Furthermore, thesis acquaints readers with various types of sexual abuse and marginally with commercial abuse. The aim of the research in the practical section of the thesis is to ascertain the level of awarness of students in this issues, together with their own personal experience concerning sexual abuse and whether they have any sexually abused person in their vicinity. The quantitative research was conducted at the elementary school Drtinova.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sexually abused child, which generally falls under CAN syndrome. This phenomenon is increasingly affecting society throughout the world, so more attention is needed. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to describing basic concepts of CAN syndrome, defining the concept of sexual abuse, introducing its typical forms, the resulting consequences of abuse and indicating the characteristics of the victim and perpetrator. The theoretical part also deals with diagnostics, folow-up therapy and, of course, prevention. A special part of the theoretical part is the children's crisis center and a line of trust that helps the affected children and fight against it. These chapters also include statistics from the previous year on the Children's Crisis Center website. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to find out what is the awareness of the students of the selected secondary school about sexual abuse of the child. The chosen school was František Palacký Grammar School in Neratovice. Child Sexual Abuse

My work deals with child sexual abuse problems. My theoretical part concentrates on explanations of key words connecting with child abuse and its legal definition, forms of sexual abuse and then on prevention of this phenomenon and victimology. The second part devotes to the perpetrator and the victim, together with child abuse symptoms, child sexual abuse accomodation symptons and posttraumatic stress disorder. The practical part contains two casuistries/case reports. The first one is concentrated on intrafamily child sexual abuse and the second one on the posttraumatic stress disorder. The common signs of theory and practice are defined at the end of both of the case reports.
Problems of Sexual Abuse in Childhood

The thesis concentrates on the issue of sexual abuse in childhood. The work is divided into four main chapters. The first and second chapter characterizes the development of a role of child from past to the present, particularly in legal terms. The author's focus is dedicated to the term definition of sexual child abuse, data and incidence of sexual abuse in context with other countries. Supported by viewpoint of other authors, a description of different views on sexual abuse of children is presented with specific forms of abuse (contact and non-contact). The third chapter deals with specific risk factors, related to children, the perpetrators (aggressors) and families. Autor´s focus is on the offender (deviant and non-deviant) and their degree of threat. The data is supported by research results published in the Czech Republic and statistical data from OSPOD MLSA. The last, fourth chapter is considered by the author to be of a great importance as it discusses the implications derived from sexual abuse in childhood. This traumatic experience may have crucial impact on further development and quality of life of the victim. The work is concluded with offers of preventative methods and the role of social worker in the process of uncovering a case of sexual abuse of a child.
