Demotikons
Ponomarevová, Denisa ; Sýkorová,, Lenka (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis entitled Demotikons is a guide to the hypothetical and personal symbolism of digital space and internet communication. I refer to the well-known system of emoticons (emoji), reaction buttons, and simplified forms or signs found on web browsers, social networks, and the digital interfaces of our electronic devices. I deconstruct their meaning with my own attributes and place them in new forms and relationships. The drawings make micro-references to established "visual codes" in digital space, from email address signs to graphic icons and visual indicators in user interfaces. The output of this project becomes an installation comprising a series of drawings and objects that convey personal interpretations of the intersection of the digital (online) world with the physical (offline) world.

In Space
Blatná, Hana ; Vítková, Lenka (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is a series of fourteen drawings created exclusively using graphite. The drawings reflect a subjective view of the universe, inspired by archaic interpretations of planets and universe solids, conspiracy theories, black and white images of textures, surfaces, rocks and meteorites captured by modern technology. The drawings are an attempt to express hidden inner motives, personal mythology, the energy of the landscape, the relationship to nature. The paper is a parallel to the sky, a projection surface on which dreamy cosmic landscapes penetrate in imprints, geometric shapes and using perspective.

Mádr, Marián ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of a new Roman Catholic church with conveniences, which will be located in the city of Brno - Líšeň, in the northwestern part of the cadastral area Líšeň, on a sloping plot, between Horníkova and Molákova streets, near the youth center ("Saleska"). The church will serve the Roman Catholic Congregation of the Selesians, who are attended to the education and work with children and youth. The church will be dedicated to the third Divine Person of the Holy Spirit. The main aim of the church is to be a place of meeting in the community of believers, but also a quiet and peaceful place to meet God. The proposal will also consider the construction of a vicarage, which should be a meeting place for parishioners at various events with the possibility of accommodating the Salesians. The idea is proceeded on the main symbols of the Salesians. The design is based on the idea of a home, a circle, which symbolizes the family atmosphere. It is derived from three pillars. The sense, the religion and the kindness, standing on a triangular background that serve as points to create a community bounded by circles. This fellowship is defined by three circular segments in the form of reinforced concrete framework structures, each of them represents one of the divine persons of the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The gaps among the structures serve for such an illumination, which does not distract the attention from the church to the outside environment and preserves the peace and the spirituality in the interior.

The Manual
Klusová, Katarína ; Houser, Milan (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
A mixture of symbols, authorities and theories that man need´s to absorb nowdays, is source for many confusing manuals, how to deal with our life, make decisions, or which political party to vote. Exactly the same time, these symbols of authority and theories are an essential part of our culture and education, and that they are looking for inspiration, information and explanations. Sometimes I dream that my source of information is nothing more than nature and its observations. In a utopian world without information provided by them I watched the world at my own pace, subsequently walking from one information to another. In the real world from different disciplines, which explore the universe in great detail, vast quantities of information flows, which the ordinary man in his level is not capable scientificly understand. For instance, when I read about Hawking's paradox, I can imagine how it's probably meant, but I don´t understand the calculations, and resources .. Well anyway, I add this information to my concept of understanding space and black holes. I perceive universe through intuition and its fragments-specific expression of the universe- I perceive through reason. The first series is a picture of my view of the universe by means of symbols - codes that people agreed use- to communicate the inexpressible. Universe is still on the eyes, and whenever I start to deal with its sub-parts, I can recognize its wholeness . Other pictures are formulation and development of selected key topics of the universe (according to my personal priorities). At this point, my work is mainly based on switching between a total and detail. What happens to the "collection" image, and affects other images detail. The last image of the series is once again the image of the wholeness . The spiral development to the second floor above the first image. Projecting the universe through me will be images transformation. Picture, even it is symbolic and symbolizing, is forming to kind of logo. Moreover, It occurs the same logo as a symbol of the universe mirroring by my being. Universe in the universe. Microcosm in the macrocosm. My individuality in the universe. Fractal.
