The use of new statistical processes by evaluation of land adjustment realization in Southern Bohemia.

The diploma thesis is focused on evaluation and realization of the complex land amendments in south bohemia district. The theoretical part provides general information about the land amendments from the history to their goals following with description of the forest paths mainly their categories and requests on path network propositions. In the practical part there is described realization of the forest paths mainly their costs and how many kilometers had been carried out in the particular districts. The next part describes Tabor district. There are evaluated mainly technical parameters of the roads, start and finish of the build and if it had been new build or restoration. Finally there is financial comparison put into graphs.

Tree stem diameter and the Moon: a detailed analysis of periodic relationships

Zürcher and Cantiani (Nature, 1998) reported "a strong correlation" between rhythmic fluctuations of diameter of spruce stem on one side and gravimetric lunisolar tides on the ohter. The relationship between stem diameter D and tidal force G has been tested by more exact biometrical means. The 75 diameter and gravity hourly values have been processed by the Halberg cosinor regression and by Bartlett cross-"correlation". The higher peaks of the stem curve are located at 0,7-2,8 hours later than the peaks of the inverted tides. The cross-"correlation" between D and G as the function of time lag shows a 24-hour periodicity with its maximal significant deviation from zero for G delayed after D by 4 hours.

Classification of precipitation regimes in Congo

Statisticals methods have been used to classify a rainfall regimes in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Using this classification method 3 main types of rainfall regimes are identified. The mains factors for their spatial distribution and characteristic are the apparent movement of the sun, the seasonal interaction of intertropical front and Benguela current.

Identification of Psychosomatic States of an Operator

This paper describes the method of detection of psychosomatic states of an operator. Understanding of these states can be used in closing of external human feedback. Detection uses psychological self-diagnostic questionnaires and is supported by experimentally gained data. The next approach of processing is formalized and is supposed to be processed by statistical methods and by methods of artificial intelligence.

Statistical Analysis and Multivariate Methods in MS Excel

The aim of this thesis is creating an application in Microsoft Office Excel 2003 that allows user to solve problems using some statistical analysis methods. This application is provided in stat.xls file, which is the main part of the thesis. The XLS file enables Excel to applicate methods of univariate and bivariate categorical analysis of frequencies, univariate, bivariate and even multivariate analysis of quantitative data and index analysis of economic data. To applicate the methods the file uses various forms, Excel R1C1 and Array formulas, macros and VBA code. The file is executable with Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or newer versions. The file is suitable mainly as utility for study of statistical methods and it can also be used with an extensive data file. In addition to the stat.xls file, a part of the thesis is also a text output, which contains description of the chosen statistical analysis methods, description of creating the file stat.xls itself and illustration of the file's functions on specific examples.

Customer satisfaction

The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate usage of statistic methods to better identify customer loyalty and satisfaction. The main purpose is to understand customer behavior and to find key factors which can influence customer satisfaction with the company related. The thesis is divided into 3 chapters. The first two chapters represent the theoretical part. The first chapter is focused on marketing research. There the reader can find the main research approaches, the selection of the sample of customers, the structure of question blanks, the way of collecting data and several methods used in praxis. The following chapter consists of necessary statistic methods -- correlation analysis, regression analysis, factor analysis and structural equation models. Practical part is represented by the key last chapter. In the begging the description of survey sampling and basic information about selected set can be found. The data collected are further analyzed using not very common method Walker which offers one very interesting and efficient way how to evaluate information about customers. Introduction and presentation of the method Walker is not only the core but also the main aim of the work.

Diagnostika vybraných aspektů organizační kultury společnosti DEK a.s.

V teoretické části práce je uveden přehled přístupů k organizační kultuře, k jejím vlivům na podnikové procesy, výkonnost a úspěšnost organizace a k metodám jejího zkoumání a poznávání. V rámci praktické aplikace je popsána diagnostika vybraných okruhů organizační kultury společnosti DEK a.s. Empirická data byla zjištěna pomocí dotazníkového šetření mezi zaměstnanci společnosti a analyzována byla relevantními statistickými metodami. Na konci práce jsou shrnuty výsledky statistické interpretace dat do slabých a silných stránek zkoumaných okruhů organizační kultury, na ně pak navazují návrhy na opatření a doporučení.
