Linguistic Analysis of Internet Hip Hop Magazines

The thesis deals with the language used in online hip hop magazines. The objective is to describe the language that is characteristic of such magazines. The language is analysed against the backdrop of journalistic style and its genres, and the standard language norm. The language analysis includes articles published in Bbarák and HipHopStage magazines. The thesis also defines hip hop and briefly describes its history, including the beginnings of hip hop music journalism. The practical section of the thesis provides a language analysis of articles published in the selected magazines. It describes the composition of the articles and focuses on the ways to connect with readers. The section also focuses on the orthographic quality of the articles. The final outcome of the analysis is a description of individual language levels, while highlighting characteristic features of the language in online hip hop magazines.
Speech of the Tourist Guide

This work deals with speech of the tourist guide from the point of view of individual linguistics levels. This topic was chosen because the author of this work studied tourism at secondary school and she has personal experience with the job of tourist guide. Second reason is the fact that this topic has not been described in details yet. Beside the activity of tourist guide and his/her nonverbal communication, this work deals with his/her speech from the point of view of five linguistics levels - phonetic/phonological, morphological, lexical, syntactic and stylistic one. For their analysis four video-records were used. There is real speech of four tourist guides at castles on these videos. The result of this work is the formulation of specific features of speech of the tourist guide. There are several points added to these features. These points are about recommendation for each tourist guide and his/her right and effective speech.
Language Management of Secondary Education Teachers of Czech and Their Contribution to Forming the Standard Czech

This thesis analysis in social practise the Language Management Theory - it deals with pedagogical activity of Czech language teachers at secondary schools, based on corrections of writen language tests. The goal of this paper was to find out whether the norm of czech standard language which is contained in codices correspond with the norm that is presented by teachers. This thesis uses modern metdological approaches from the sociolinguistic sphere, especially the method of so called 'Follow-Up Interview'. It also uses the concept of the Social Power Field by Ulrich Ammon and the Language Management Theory by J. V. Neustupný as general methodological basis. As the source of information served authentic tests which has been filled by fifty students of a secondary school a and then corrected by eight czech language teachers. Other sources were Follow-Up Interviews with the teachers and questionnaires. On the basis of these sources the Language Management Theory was researched and also the idea of the teachers about the norm of standard language. This idea was compared to the opinions of other three instances of the Social Power Field. In cases there was something unclear the information were completed from the Follow-Up Interviews. Finnish spoken language and its use in the lyrics of modern songs

Finnish non-standard language and its use in the lyrics of modern songs Abstract The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of Finnish non-standard language and partly standard language in the lyrics of rock band Haloo Helsinki! and rap singer Cheek. Finnish non-standard language differs markedly from standard language in that it does not have a standard form and it is used primarily in oral communication. Moreover, Finnish non-standard language can, and is, also used for lyrics. The first theoretical part of thesis is an introduction to Finnish language varieties, non-standard and standard language and lyrics. The second practical part of thesis focuses on analysing the selected lyrics for the morphological, the syntactic and the lexical level of language. Non-standard language is analysed in all three levels of language, standard language only in the syntactic level of language.
Analysis of public speeches

This work inspects technical speeches of guides and teachers from the point of view of stylistics, morphology, syntax and lexicology. The main aim is to detect the presence of colloquial elements and mainly non-standard elements. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and research. The theoretical part deals with speeches themselves, their dividing, stylistic aspects and shortly also with specification of standard and non-standard language. The research part than analyses the concrete speeches, it studies the frequency of colloquial and non-standard elements and in detail it describes the chosen phenomenon.
Speaker Attitudes to the Freiburg Regional Dialect. A Contribution to the Relationship of the Standard Language, Colloquial Speech and Dialect.

This thesis is concerned with the attitude of speakers (people) from 'Freiburg' and the local dialect, other dialects and also standard language. The theoretical section of the thesis provides analysis of the terms: standard language, colloquial language and dialect. These terms are important for the questionnaire research, which is submitted within the practical section of the thesis. In addition, the thesis also gives consideration to both the present and possible future of this dialect and standard language. Supporting graphics illustrate these relationships and attitudes of the speakers (people) from the perspective of their gender, age and origin.

The study deals with the purism as language ideology. After critical analysis of basic concepts (language cultivating, ideology, language ideology) there are standard language ideology and purism ideology presented. The crucial part of the study consists of: 1. analysis of the evaluation of purism in the contributions on language cultivating in the journals Slovo a slovesnost and Naše řeč from 1949 to 1968, 2. analysis of purism ideology in these contributions.
The TV news on the CT 1 and codified pronounciation

This Bachelor Thesis focuses on analysis of codified pronunciation of TV news' professional speakers on the CT 1. This public service medium was chosen because it guarantees a high level of the language skills in its codes and there is expected that the professional speakers on the CT1 will be an example in speech for their audience. The fundamental object of this Thesis is to analyze the status of Colloquial Stan-dard Czech and Standard Czech in the actual media discourse. This Thesis reflects a discussion about the status of Common Czech. The Bachelor Thesis deals with the causes of this discussion and outlines the consequences that would be due to the role of Common Czech like a prestigious national variety. In the theoretical part there is a summary of basic terms and contexts that refer to the topic of this thesis. The practical part contains the description of analysed materials and the analysis' process. The analysis reveals the speech imperfections on the back-ground of the orthoepic norm and describes theirs possible causes and consequences. The most occurred unnormalized phenomenas were divergences in quality and quantity of vowels, unnormalized releases of consonants' connections, such as an as-similation to a contiguous segment or assimilation at a distance.
