STEINBAUEROVÁ, Dagmar
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of integration and attitude of the youth fire sport team leaders towards integration of children with disabilities into this leisure time activity. It also answers the question whether individual disciplines of fire sport can be adapted for children with disabilities. Nowadays, when integration of children with disabilities into the educational process and society is ongoing it is important not to forget about their leisure time. The thesis is divided in the theoretical and research part. The theoretical part defines a difference between integration and inclusion and provides also an explanation of what is leisure time. Furthermore, it deals with possible sports activities of children with disabilities and explains what fire sport is. The mixed type of research is used in the research part. By means of the first, qualitative type of research, secondary data analysis, a possibility of adjusting of all fire sport disciplines for children with disabilities is confirmed. Using the second, quantitative type of research, i.e. a technique of a questionnaire, confirms that the relationship of leading young firefighters to children with disabilities is mostly positive. Most fire brigade leaders are willing to accept a child with any disability in their team, but provided that such child will not participate in the competitions. In the case of participation of children with disabilities in competitions, a smaller majority of young firefighter leaders are willing to include in their team most often children with ADHD, hearing and physical disabilities. Some, but their number is low, are willing to accept also children with visual and mental disabilities. Based on the findings of this research, it would be appropriate to continue to develop a methodology of work for children with disabilities in fire sport.
